MY dad and i are stuck in a transition. The load screen goes to about 75% or maybe 80% and then stop there forever. Is the server reset would resolve that are we stuck there forever?

Try using 7zip. That is what I used to compile the zip.

Hey everyone, thank you for being patient. Yes, the scripter and I have completed the new version and will have instructions on how to update all your files. We will have a set of instructions tomorrow along with how we inplement the changes. This may sound complicated, it is a little... but we have added and thouroughly tested all the sub races. I am sure you will al be pleased. Due to time constraints and the many weeks spent testing, I did not have time to rebuild the underworld. So, this is off limits for a few months. I had to rebuild most everything due to all the update. Hence the long wait.

Everyone needs to head over to natfka.ddns.net and start downloading the files needed. The character creator will come online first so that everyone can start building their character before natfka reborn comes online.

Hey guys, so for clarification, we will announce an opening event time for natfka reborn later this week. Currently, the only thing open is the character creator. You have to use the character creator server. Once you create your subrace, yes it takes between 5 and 15 minutes depending on how much you read, your subrace will be playable one the natfka reborn server when we open it.

I will post a sub race and prestige guide. However, ****** we are using player resource consortium races. You can look at these sub race abilities on their website. Also, most everything on their website will be playable on natfka. I encourage everyone to read it.

So Natfka Character Creator is completely live.  Please enter into the direct connect details natfka.ddns.net:5122.  This will resolve the ip address for you.  Because of the coding issues with this, only ONE player is allowed to be in the character creator at a time.  As Mark stated it will take awhile to create your character.  After you select your skills in the creator, there will be a lag as the computers is compiling the available feats.  There is two ways for you to pass the time will it does this.  One is continue to hit continue for about 30 times and then you can select feats.  Two is to go make a snack and come back in a couple of minutes.  Please do not hang out in the character creator to look at your guy.  After your character is completely created, you will be kicked of the server while is makes the final character sheet.  You will need to shut down the game at this point.  If you try to log into another server, the game will just shut down anyways.

Hey M16a2 , I am not sure if this is issue is client or server sided but every time i download the natfkareborn.zip it cuts off @ approx 120mb, which results in an error when extracting (tried 7zip, winzip, winRAR) . The only file that won't extract is the last one, natfkafallentile.hak .  - Is anyone else getting this problem?

Finally figured it out.. Both Chrome and Firefox corrupted the download.  Used Internet Explorer to download and worked just fine, i had to resume the download partway through, where aforementioned browsers just stopped.

Hey everyone, so the DMs and I have discussed scheduling for hosting an introducion event with DM prizes. We will open natfka reborn earlier in the morning. The times that work for us revolve around late to mid morning EST on saturday the 9th (this saturday). Please have all your characters made prior to saturday morning EST.

Alzagul created a character in natfkacc then after like 30min at least he still cant enter play mode to edit his character because he get kick out every time.

 

He got Cep 2.6, PRC 3.5 and all the natfkareborn hak

Sounds like there's a missing hak, file or similar - that's the same as what happened to me before I installed all the prc and other files. might want to try re-installing them

After you create a character in the CC, you cannot go back into the CC. If the character is incomplete, you can still log back in to finish. Natfka Reborn will be on either 5121 or 5123 once we open it up this saturday for the DM event.

I will post a level adjustment excel spreadsheet to this message today. We are using hit die, along with ECL. The website does not explain this, but the excel sheet will.

mmac is right on the download issue.  When I built the cc program.  It was based on a brand new download of PRC 3.5.  Those are the only hak and the cc uses.  I can not stress enough to re download all files prior to starting a character in cc. 

 

A little insight on how the mod was rebuilt.  I spent close to three months completely stripping every map out of natfka.  It might seem like a long time but it was taking anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour per map.  After all the maps were pulled out, I slowly started adding one by one to a brand new mod to verify that the maps were not corrupt.  Since we were doing a complete rebuild of the mod, it was decided to add the latest and greatest hak to the mod with exception to cep. ( I was looking for a complete download so we went with cep 2.6 since cep 2.6.1 is only a patch).  Even the natfka hak has been re engineered because some of the tileset were corrupt and I had to edit the hak to compensate for it.

 

That is just my side the story.  Mark has log about the same about of time as me, if not more, rebuilding every encounter and creature since all the information was corrupt. 

 

When the game launches this weekend and you are unable to connect to the new game server, let me know.  I will be close to a computer to help in case there is something wrong with the server.

Something that hasn't been brought up yet is how the current administration works.  Mark was and still is the primary contact about anything that is natfka.  This is his mod and he is the one the is continuing to make improvements inside the game.  My only involvement with this is that I am the server admin.  The game and website is sitting on one of my private servers. 

 

I am glad to see that everyone is getting ready for the launch this weekend.  Hopefully this goes of smoothly.

OK I think I got everything but when I log in CC it allows me to pick my deity weapon then my toon just stands there staring into the sand dunes, music playing and occasionally scratching his head..... Im guessing.....that's not normal is it?

To be able to tell if you create it correctly you at your character sheet.  If you have 1exp, you character is done.  If you are at a point that you keep pressing continue and nothing happens, walk away and make a snack. The server is compiling information at that time and it takes a while to do so.
