Can someone rez me in eveningstar please There is a warrior of ponar in there, I am not sure why but I was unbuffed and walking in town and it killed me. I dont know if I have another meaningless respawn in me, they just cost too much. I will lose a level and 50K gold. Thank you

Nevermind, I respawned Ill go back to the goblins and get lvl 20 again. I guess watch out for eveningstar, it will only frustrate you, your weapon will be ineffective against it. It must be updating right now because its very laggy and the ping is 600. Maybe stay off it for awhile and let it do what its doing so we dont accidentally crash it.

I just figured it out. Travel domain for clerics no longer has haste, instead it has dimension door. Would I be right in saying the only possible way to have haste is to make a wizard? I am not against them, I just remember making a cleric on this server with haste. Going to make a new toon again

I see, dimension door and teleport do not work anyhow. I think the PRC domain I am looking for is time, but we only have access to the original cleric domains and time isnt among them. So dont take travel and expect to have haste or any of the teleport spells. I like the melee type, that cleric was doing good and I was having fun, the haste thing threw me for a loop because all of the domain descriptions in game list haste expect when you look at your character sheet. I need to step away from the game for awhile lol.

Yes! You knew I would and I did figure it out! You take 1 level as something else and then the PRC options open up to you as you take your next level! Cmon baby!

Improved invis doesnt give you concealment after you come out of invis, it just goes away with the invisibility =) I think I am going to start another toon and take a different domain, one that will benefit me. I can use invis pots for invis. Fascinating finding out what doesnt work on the server. I dont remember it being this tight in the past and I think imp invis used to work, no?

That's odd improved invis when cast by an arcane caster works just fine ..

Cant find a way out of comanthor backroads but you can die in there and respawn, it will just cost you. Searched everywhere for an exit, the one exit just does not work.

My imp invis goes on when cast. Then after you attack something, the invis and conceal icons in the top buff bar pulse a few times then both invis and conceal go away. I am glad it works for wizards, I went with strength and time domains, I can get imp invis somewhere else I think.

The "exit's" in the backroads are not the standard blue in between zone sections.  Just walk into the caves and you will pop out at another exit - Not all the caves work at this time. and they only work if you are an Elf. (or subrace of Elf)

I hope the server is just resetting right now, it just went down at 8PM pacific time. since its on the hour, it could be a reset, I am praying that! I just downloaded a new game from Gog so I can play from home, having so much fun... so damn much damn fun!

It came back up but it doesnt show any of my characters, just a bunch of premade characters. Its allowing local characters, but not server ones.

Can run local characters at the moment - server vault characters are not available - so server has likely restarted minus the usual options

We have some awesome players as it is now. Been playing with heaterman for over a decade on 3 different servers. I look forward to what we can do together friends, its our one last hoorah and I couldn't be more grateful for our DM. I look forward to meeting him in game one day.

Wow just heard this is back up. Like many spent many an hour on here! Nice to see you all enjoying it again.

Are all the normal and prc classes available as there looks like a hell of alot more than i remember all them years ago?

 

Also has anyone see Swordcoast legends , due out on 8th sept?

Hey Tazzy!

Its all the PRC classes, just like before. Its stuck on local vault right now so you can make a level 40 and explore. I don't know when it will be reset and switched back, its been on local toons since Sunday. I think there is only one DM who can fix it and I think he must be super busy. At least its up, we can mess around on it. I have emailed everyone I know and haven't heard back so don't know how long it will be this way but again at least its up, we have that going for us. DL a character creator and create a toon to explore, thats my advice for now old friend

Just downloading game now, picked it up for £3.33 on Gaming dragons, although I see theres also another dlc I never played now available

Just make sure you get your own key for the game. you may have to request it from the people you bought it off - it's only useful if you are playing online.

OK all downloaded. Downloaded tlk and hak files and extracted the hak.

Connect to server and get the option to play a precreated character. Tells me im missing the tlk file.

Am i meant to put that somewhere special?

 

Oh also if you have a link to a decent prc character creater as well that can be used with this server?

Make a monk and take your last level in game so you can choose prc stuff. I made uber gear +20 and all that with monk speed so we can travel and look. Just take your time and make your gear good.

In the leveler, keep putting yourself at lvl 40, take your gold, drop it then go to level 40 again, it gives you gold again, that way you can upgrade your gear all you want.

Or I wonder if I can just drop mine and then load another version, lets try that.

Now don't explore every area, it kind of ruins it for you. I don't know if you have DMed a server but it takes away a lot of the mystery, you know the mystery that keeps you up until 3AM playing. As for the server resetting and loading properly, I don't know why its still on local toon mode, I cant get into contact with anyone. Hey, we take what we can get when we can get it and stay grateful!

 

At least players are coming back, that was the goal when this all started so thats good.
