Maybe can put up a dedicated server for the game with static ip and create page on shivtr.com.

Yes that very same IP although i'm not using the port number i.e. I don't use the ":5121" bit on the end

Is this server active right now? Had very good memories of it. Is this NWN 1 or 2? Just let me know what I have to do to get onboard again. Unfortunately, I had to deploy to Iraq as a USMC machine gunner but I still remember the dwarven people I use to roleplay with, raiju, dahaka, Danica, and the holy paladin... years ago, and am now getting back to real life.~~~~My character was Din'Din the Sly.

Heh, Yes server is active natfka.ddns.net can obtain files and connection string is above. If Mark agrees can make a small site + board + server so we can have decent community.

It was cool to see this server back, sadly I didn't stick because it looks like the implementation of last prc version broke quite some things, namely all conversation based stuff doesn't work for me, and I can't make a psionic character for example (some issues with selecting powers through conversation for some old toon, and now it simply doesn't let me create one claiming I lack the pre-req feats - for the base class psion). Also it keeps asking me to re-select the war domain weapon focus of choice at every login, and other inconveniences with spells not availabe,

 

Some easier to fix stuff that turned me down were broken transitions in town magically leading to fireguard dungeon/vast swamp, and relogging giving all spells back as if you rested.

 

I liked the quite hardcore feeling of Natty so the addition of very powerful magic items for sale in stores (example, stuff with complete immunity to some forms of dmg) wasn't very welcome either. Having to grind widow, balrog and the likes over and over hoping to get a good weapon or a epic spell seed gave something to aim for, now all that stuff and more is availabe right in the starting area, albeit requiring some gold farming, but gold was always easy to come by.

 

That being said, good luck with the server, and if the majority of customers prefer easy settings and can skip on some prc stuff by all means ignore my ranting, I only wanted to provide some feedback as for why I gave up (for now )

Hi everyone, sorry Alexkidd for the issues you're having. I am well aware of all these issues. The update made these issues very complicated: psionics, subraces, epic spells, etc. The accidental broken transitions should be fixed at this time, please let me know if they are not. 

 

My goal within a few months is to find a way to move "natty" to its own platform or redo the HAK overrides to fix the issues mentioned above. I have been unsuccessful to date. This includes many dozens of hours.

Are people having log in issues? I check every day, but Iv rarely seen it down. I want to make sure there isn't a firewall issues again if people can't log into it.
I am working with a scripter to fix some of these issues.
Natfka will be undergoing some positive changes in the weeks to come, also including a website. I will keep everyone updated. Feel free to email me with an questions, or if you are having issues logging in.

Hi guys, I wish someone would have emailed me a little sooner  

 

Natfka is view-able once again. 

 

We are making good progress on fixing the HAK issues script wise. Hopefully, in a couple weeks, we can start tackling the issues mentioned above. At some point, we will advertise natfka and make it big once again. We will rebalance equipment at that time, what is purchasable, what is find-able loot. Much more like the old days. This is still a ways out, but we are getting closer.

hey guys, so, a scripter/coder  has been working tirelessly the past 4 weeks to fix a lot of the issues. Over the past decade, natfka has turned into a script nightmare due to hak and cep upgrades. 
The current timeline is about another 6 weeks. The game is still up and running. We will be moving it soon to a permanent server ip host, but it is still currently at 71.236.239.113:5121. 

 

Once we finish the script changes, the goal is to have a much faster running server, sub races, the prc fixes, epic spell fixes, spell fixes, dm mode working again, loot and equipment changes and more balance, and some other changes. 

 

Your characters won't be deleted. So feel free to play while we are making changes. Most people will choose to make new characters due to sub races, regardless. feel free to post or email with questions.
