So you can give your gear a unique name. What names are you proud of?  Or, for those like me who don't take the time, what names WOULD you give certain pieces of gear?

I named the gear for my Inquisitor Fadewalker or Riftrender (Riftrender Staff or Fadewalker's Coat for example) most of the time. It just seemd appropriate.

I named a trench coat i made out of nug skin, The remains of Schmooples II.

From a conversation between Cole and The Iron Bull I found the one time I used Cole:

 

Cole: I like your horns, the Iron Bull.
Cole: But they're dragon horns, not bull horns. You could have named yourself the Iron Dragon.

Iron Bull: Oh, ****. That would have been better.

I'm playing as a dual-dagger rogue assassin.  My daggers are named Icingdeath and Twinkle.  The female archer in my party has a bow named Taulmaril.  Any guesses who one of my favorite characters from fantasy fiction is?

 

And for something more original ... I currently have two suits of armor named Firewalker and Angel's Guard.  Cassandra wears a suit named Devil's Bane and carries a 374 DPS greatsword named Splitter .  Dorian wears Incarnate Spirit and is equipped with a 207 DPS fire staff named Wyrmfang.  Vivienne wears The Blinding Sun and deals her damage with a 204 DPS frost staff named the Staff of Marikoth.  Iron Bull wears Blood of the Warrior and is equipped with Silvermane's Axe.

The mighty dragon slaying axe used my the inquisitor to kill coryphenus was named: Darkspawn Dong Chopper.It was supremely effective against darkspawn and had a base damage of 376 etc etc

In the process of making a Dragon Slaying Maul.  Called it Leviathan Crusher.  Big Mastodon fan so it seemed legit.

I named the gear for my Inquisitor Fadewalker...

The game itself gaved that exact same name to a shield I made for Cassie.   

 

My inquisitor's favorite crafted longbow is called the 'Shadow Dragon'.

depends, usually the character I had intended the item for has something to do with it. such as, Iron Bull's Dragon Blade, Mera's Left & Right Talon (she was a Dual wielder I named after my computer) or some-such. wish there were more characters in item naming.

Thunderstrike for a lightning staff, Starfyre or Firestorm for a fire staff, Glacier for an ice staff. I usually make armor that complements the staff (like ice staff with fire resistant armor to fight fire dragons, or armor and staff that both boost att% and crit damage to up dps) so I usually give the armor a similar name, like Starfyre armor or Thunderstrike armor to help organize my inventory.

I always get reluctant when naming my gear as, lets face it, most names have been used. That being said I occasionally do use some of my favorites such as Dawnbringer, Deathrender, Faith (for a shield or armor referencing faith as a protection), and maybe a few others.
