I wanted to come up with something mean and hateful about how EAWare treats its customers, but I realized that it would be an overkill.
It's funny how haters can become irrelevant when the subject of hate pretty much does what haters would say and more.

Funny how less & less gaming companies are caring about putting out a product that functions properly. 10 yrs ago this was unacceptable....now days it's standard. Guess if you buy a Blu-ray movie with missing audio or a brand new car with the AC that doesn't function for more than 1 min, that'd be acceptable too..."cuz making things is hard."

I've got you covered:

DAI has landed a bunch of GOTY awards so they're probably too busy patting themselves on the back right now.

They'll keep getting away with it so long as people keep giving them money. We pay 60$+ for an unfinished game, and then we complain here and ask for them to fix it while they hide and remain silent like gutless wonders. I think there should be laws in place to protect buyers from this sort of neglegence. Like a fine for every unfixed bug that adds up every day until they get up off their ass and fix it. Or maybe they should be flogged alive. Either one will do, really.

It's time to have this stuff fixed, Bioware. No lolligagging. We were good customers. We paid you for the game, you released it prematurely, now it's time for you to step up and fix it.

I agree. The software industry has very poor regulations and should have a consumer advocate monitoring QA and issues. I just shake my head when I think about companies releasing bad product an that's what this amounts to.
And how do you get awards for half baked product exactly? There should be a category for whether it works properly.

If I was the producer of a highly anticipated AAA title I wouldn't be able to enjoy my holiday knowing that the people that buy my product, the consumers, are frothing at the mouth for fixes for problems that never should have been problems in a shipped product to being with. But maybe that's just me...
I write crappy little pieces of software in my spare time, but I stay up night after night following the release of each one until there are no more bug reports coming in that are functionality breaking.

It takes a special kind of person to be an AAA producer. Hint: Not all personality traits are generally considered positive.

You make a good point. With my obsessive compulsive traits I would likely die from a massive coronary as a AAA title producer before the product ever hit the second phase of beta testing.

Bless you. I wish you were working for BioWare then maybe we would have gotten a less buggy game in the first place.

Every time I see it I wonder, what kind of partees are being thrown in Canada during holidays.
Far less paid companies for lesser things call off holidays, but it looks as if BioWare pays no attention to such things as integrity. Well, it is truly a modern and progressive behaviour.
Patch is probably under a table, celebrating bonuses coming from GOTY.

I think what must be done is essentially what the Battlefield 4 community did. It forced the press to take notice, and eventually even EA to issue statements.
Was rather easy really. 'FIX THE GAME'. Post that everywhere. Everywhere they gloat about GOTY awards, every forum, every thread. We live in a day and age where games like THIEF get nominated for Outstanding Audio Design. A game where NPC audio a floor above will sound like they are talking right behind you!
GOTY means nothing.
FIX THE GAME!!

My first plan was to play DAI during my Christmas holidays but since BW didn't patch it in playable state that didn't happen. Instead I played through Atelier Meruru that I got for Christmas present but now I have played that done through as well. Maybe Witcher next then sigh, it doesn't seem like DAI will be playable anytime soon.
