First let me start by saying that I loved the game. I logged over 100 hours before starting the final story mission and could have done more.
That being said, the ending was such a disappointment to me! After all that, gaining power, cultivating friendships, acquiring influence through out the world, what choices do you have once you've defeated Corypheous? None! It just reminds you of all the stuff you've already done! What's the point in all that 'next Divine' nonsense if it's just going to go to Viviene? Why did I listen to everyone's concerns about the direction of the inquisition if I can't influence it in any way. I wanted the game to end, I sit on my throne and say "right, this is how it's going to go down from now on".
Also, I want a trophy cabinet in my quarters otherwise what's the point of it? Developers clearly spent a lot of time making some really awesome looking unique weapons only to have to sell them after you've out levelled them. Didn't need the money, just the storage space. Would have been nice to have a place where we can collect them.
Despite my disappointment, I think I'm going to have another playthrough. There's so many things to try!
Storyline ending *spoilers* (duh)

Um, while I agree that the ending is not quite what I hoped for (anticlimactic battle, very few visible effects of previous choices), the choice of the Divine is not one of them. There's been a lot of debate of what variables specifically determine who will be crowned Divine, but the list is long. It seems that the faction choice as well as the decision on how to handle it plays an important role, along with many conversation branches regarding your outlook on the mage-templar conflict. Generally, choosing the mages and allowing them to keep their own regulatory structure favours Leliana, whereas going for the templars favours Cassandra. I don't remember what exactly leads towards Vivienne. Interestingly enough, the Leliana case branches even further, depending on how you completed her "personal quest". I think the same applies to Cassandra regarding the future of the Seekers.

Yer I understand what you're saying but it is very heavily implied, if not said directly, that I will have a conscious say in the decision. I stand by all the choices I made in conversations but those points of view lead me to thinking that Vivienne is the worst possible choice! I would have liked more playable utilisation of influence at the end.
