I've enjoyed the Knight Enchanter. But I was somewhat disappointed given all the furor on the forums. My knight Enchanter is hard to kill. But it takes him much longer to kill anything than my Rogue or even my Reaver. The class is fun, but I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. I'm pretty sure my sword and shield Champion will be just as indestructible with similar DPS.

Have only been playing a KE Storm Mage for about a day now, but can say he is quite more formidable than my Stealth Archer/ Artificer. The downside currently is I gave up Fade Step for other Storm choices; the eight slot restriction is really hurting the versatility in combat. However, that seems to be a concern for Mages in general, more so than my Rogue.

Knight-enchanters like Champions specially sword and shield champions are the tanks of DAI, I wouldn't call either godlike but they are great at tanking though what ever the enemy throws at them and are decent at dealing out damage. There are other units that are better at dealing close combat damage and damage at range but if you prefer to tank thru what ever the enemy throws at you they are the build you want.

You should be able to solo most dragons the same level as you with a 2handed warrior.

Are you blocking the dragon claw attacks with block and slash? Once you get the hang of that, dragons have a hard time doing anything to you.  Just charging bull through the dragon when they use breath attacks.

Ay yer a smug arrogant bastaaad aint ya. lol jk but yea the games combat is fun but outdated and enmies could be harder if the strategy was there like all the way. The only other game ive played where you have abilities or moves/attacks you can set as the one you go with from a selection of different tmoves was Dragons Dogma. That games had so many different attacks for daggaers (Plus dagger had sweeter move style as did the two handed weapon...to baad the rest of the game wasn't there on par barely) Every large enemy or bss in that game has waaaay too much health (teo full bars for each part of the boss and the dragons are ****** 45 minute epic hangliding scens with fire and swords, and newer games seem tobe done just right and then u realize "Oh hey all i gotta really do is this to beat every thing, i was reading into it way to  much"

Give me a mixture of Dark Souls structured combat with Dragons Dogma  mo\ve sets and a polishing up n a great idea of allowing you to grabb and vault onto large enemies to do damage to their heads or bodies otherwise your attacks are useless or your just stommmped picked up and eating or ripped to shreds bunrt  to a crisp. Safest place ina dragon fight s hanging on to its back. Picture Gandalf vs the Balrog or Cassandra vs the dragons in the Animated Dragon Age movie. It was like the makes of that fil wher  like "Do this bioware do this do this in the next game!!

Anyway everyone knows rea dragon slayers jump out of planes and use a large super strong net of metal cables weighted down by large lead balls to bring the dragon to the ground then Mathew Mcghonahey (screw his last name) uses an Axe to then kill the crippled dying dragon with a blow to the hart thinking "one day im just gonna jump off a large 100 foot structure with my axe right at a Dragon flying directly at me and just scream like an animal born to battle beasts!!! Man next time Christian's looking that's what im gonna do."

Also, no need to change arm/legs gear before dragon fights for resistance. Barrier is all you need and you can focus on all other good stats. Spirit Blade is so godly because it smashes through guard and barrier and ignores armor. It makes every other class look pathetic because you really only need 3 points in KE to even be great. 3 points. Everything else is icing. Obviously to make KE faster and more survivable, 1 point in spirit, 3 points in fire tree for clean burn and 2 points for fadestep+. Everything else, is just completely flexible. Obviously certain abilities will do more damage, but won't really effect how KE plays too much.

Dispel not necessary for northern hunter fight or any fight for that matter with KE:
