Is there content DLC planned for this game? I sure hope so. I would love more companion interactions, more story, more romance and more game play. Just more :)

In a couple of months most likely, although I sincerely hope any story DLC takes place after the ending as any extra content beforehand would literally break the game's leveling curve.

I'm not expecting anything for a while, but I do really hope that the DLC is within the story, and not afterwards.  Mass Effect had great DLC missions that took place within the story and really added to it well.  I;d love to see that in DA too.

Different level scaling systems though. ME scaled to your level.

Any story content that takes place within the current timeline can overlevel you permanently for all vanilla game zones. A solution would be to scale zones appropriately on DLC completion but that's rather bass-ackwards.

I'd like it to take place after. I'd like to see a companion DLC with more companion stories and the like.

*shrug*

I don't care about being over leveled.  The game is an adequate challenge for me on normal mode.  On my second playthrough, I've learned to go two or three levels higher than the recommended for the bigger missions so that I can get through it without dying.  I take no joy in getting my rear end handed to me by enemies.  The fun in battles for me is in figuring out what works here and there, and then executing it.  Having all of my characters get killed and starting over depresses and frustrates me.  I've been out leveling zones in RPGs for decades.  Just how I play.

Two or three levels is fine. But if you're like a lot of us and try to be fairly completionist, you can end up up to 5 levels above the recommended range. Also, if you enjoy the crafting system, you can easily make gear that significantly reduces the difficulty of other encounters.

For these reasons, I'd prefer DLC content designed for after the main story. Also, it would be nice if there were some optional VERY challenging encounters in said DLC. it would be nice to have encounters that challenge my level 24 party that's all tricked out in Dragonbone gear. Of course "challenge" is subjective so ideally the hardest encounters would be optional so other players aren't frustrated.

There will be DLC, after Mass Effect 3 BioWare just doesn't talk about future content too much since they are "liars", "use false advertising", "mislead customers", etc. because it wasn't exactly as a person might imagine.

As far as when it will take place, I don't think a lot of it will take place after the main story for there are people that don't want that for they want to have the items or drops for other parts of the game.  My hope is that there might be two level ranges for it so it can be done before the end of the game, but if people want a harder challenge it will be balanced for a higher level group as well.

They don't seen to talk much, full stop, it seems. Its been what, at least a month since we've seen them post there?

Dude, they worked on the game for four years and then took Christmas and New Year's off. I don't blame them.

Frankly, I'd never give anyone a sneak peak of anything if I were them. Lest I be accused of lying to the fans if I later had to change anything.

I, too, would prefer a post-game DLC because most people want to have their fully fleshed-out characters go on more adventures that are tailored to their level.

The other solution to this common "end game" problem is to have some type of "New Game Plus', where you can replay and keep all your gear+stats, but the whole plot resets and all areas are re-scaled to your starting level.

I understand their desire for a break but it's 14 days on from the New Year and February is coming quick so they really do need to stop congratulating themselves on all these game awards and get some info out to the fans.

If it was polishing, enhancing, replacing, current content instead of new quests, it could work. I would love to see that.

As was said a gazillion times before - give them more time.

The only actual DLC we got so far is more of a "cut" content - QUIT looking at me like that, it was FREE.

And that was MP.

And even if it actually was in no way cut from the final game (again, QUIT LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT), MP DLCs ARE going to take a significantly lower amount of time to develop.

For MP, you need to model the new maps and characters, whose writing isn't excessive. I believe I may have heard about twenty lines from each character, and that being all or not, it is nowhere near the amount of writing required for a Story DLC. Also, do keep in mind that you can reuse a lot of things from the already-completed maps, such as spawning scripts, which should need minimal modification, if any - or perhaps they need major modification per map, I didn't really look. I'm just assuming from the fact BioWare people do this for a living, and not stitch-it-together-on-a-knee like my little bits of programming in high school.

In comparison, a story DLC requires you to model the new maps and characters, do a substantially increased amount of writing for the story to make sense, then you need to actually program the story bits into the map... (and I believe previously made scripts are much less of a use than in MP here)

And I'm just guessing here.

So... yeah. Give them time. Give them a couple months. Don't rush them, or else we'll get crap, barely working, bugged to hell DLCs.

If you want a masterpiece, you need to have the patience to wait for it.

Because Hater Logic would probably tell them that I'm suggesting DAI is a masterpiece.

Oooh, wait, I am not only suggesting that it is, I CLAIM it is. Legit hater target, right here.

Edit: Also, sorry if I offend any of you non-haters. I don't really mean it, it's just my "semi-bad mood sarcastic semi-douche" night for once. I rarely mean to offend ANYONE.

Let's face it, the gaming world is very happy with BioWare (GOTY etc),

BSN is a hotbed debate about key glitches, PC UI and accusations of lies, everything sucks and let's sue.

(some of those things are significant minority views but even so).

If you were on the BioWare staff would you want to be posting on BSN right now?

Assuming Patch 3 is successful it should be safe to come out again...

The non-haters are kind of chilled about it.

Funny, I wouldn't. I'd prioritize fixing stuff over chatting about it. That's just me, though.
