And even that was a compliment for female Inquisitor or any Inquisitor!

Why? Because Inquisitor,the main hero of story,your character looks same as every 2nd NPC you encounter in game.You have these horrible hairstyles that every NPC has,eyebrows that look like they are from 'Stone Age' unless you mod them of course.Wait of course,my apologies,Inquisitor doesn't even look like NPC in first place! Because unlike our truck-Inquisitor Leliana,Josephine,Cassandra,Morrigan...all have perfect hairstyles that make them look unique in game while Inquisitor who is main character looks like every other generic NPC you find in game.

Those who never followed process of making DA:I or never played previous DA games will only complain mostly about shaved hair or they won't complain at all,but I personally watched news about DA:I since it was only rumor so I dare to complain a lot more,I love the game but that doesn't mean that some things don't confuse me most and here is what I can't get my head on:

I can understand why would that long braided hairstyle would cause trouble for them but why they putted these other 5 hairs out? I see no problem with making any of them since they all are medium hair and we already have medium hair in game.Instead we got one that came straight from ME and other one that looks like Skrillex designed it! And buns? Ponytails? The largest disappointment in here! We got one normal and plain looking bun,one ponytail with nice curly strands but huge problem is that I would prefer if that ponytail was much lower, We also got one slick hairstyle that would be amazing if there wasn't ponytail behind it,only two hairs that are same like in previous DA games,2 swept back hairs that are ok,one hair that looks like one that Hawke had though I would prefer if bangs were longer and if that hair was more done by female Hawke's hairstyle,Nazi cut hair that it seems that is only one that I do like and oh yes about 7 shaved/bald hairstyles! WTF!? Who needs that much shaved and bald hairstyles seriously!? Every game always puts only one or two in it while in here we have 7 bald ones! And let's not mention Qunari now...because whoa!

And if they wish to go modern then hell why didn't they looked closer at EVE:

And funny part is EVE is game in which where having good CC or hairs was never needed because you never see your character in game in first place!

And once again worst part in here is that DA had decent and original hair in past! Once again I repeat,I love the game but I hate the hair...and eyebrows as well.So I heard rumor that there are works on making something akin  "Black Emporioum" in DA:I can it also some actual hairs be added? Like is it possible to make hair that was originally planed for this game,no need for that long braided one if it is such problem but I think these other 5 or hairstyles from past DA games can be added.That would be great thank you very much.

I think the CC is actually pretty capable of making great looking characters, tbh. Even so, I prefer my characters to look normal rather than special... attractive sure, but I feel more immersed when my PC's looks fit in with everyone else. :3 The hair I can agree on though, that's really the only thing I feel could have used much more work/more styles.

Personally, I don't want to look like a Sim or a K-pop star (maybe in real life I might want to, but not in Thedas ) and I think the CC is capable of wonderful looking characters already, in spite of the limited hair selection. Definitely agree with you about the lack of hairs, OP.

I think the CC is actually pretty capable of making great looking characters, tbh. Even so, I prefer my characters to look normal rather than special... attractive sure, but I feel more immersed when my PC's looks fit in with everyone else. :3 The hair I can agree on though, that's really the only thing I feel could have used much more work/more styles.

CC is amazing never complained about that part...only about "hair" we got and too many bushy and unibrow eyebrows that are seriously not needed.Especially since DA:I actually planed to make good hair as shown in upper picture but instead they gave us lot of buzz cuts,WTF ones and 7 bald ones? Hair is mayor problem especially since there are good hairs already in game that other NPC have and once again for who knows what time I repeat: Who the hell needs that many bald/shaved hairstyles in first place?

Would like some more options for a qunari for sure, hopefully we'll get some kind of customization dlc in the future. More anxious for more meat to the story DLC's though, I can live with the hair we got till then lol.

I thank them that they fixed that horrible 6h hairstyle in first row but why did they removed that 6th hairstyle in 3rd row? That hair would be amazing for female Inquisitor.Also I really wished that they removed ponytail from 1st hairstyle in third row and really made ponytail of 6th hairstyle in second row much lower! And instead of so many shaved ones I would prefer if they replaced it with mohawke,faux and crow hairstyle...that would be more then great!

Shape of head is alright depending on what you have in mind to create(not everyone has same shape of head and DA:I did putted various shapes of head),then you just need to alter the rest of face a little as well.CC of DA:I is more then great for that part...hair part is most critical one when it comes to DA:I's CC because there is almost no good hairstyle at all.None that I wish to use at least.

Still I don't demand long hair I don't mind short ones at all but damn like really and seriously a little research on short hairs wouldn't kill them if they did.

It would be fine if eyebrows were more thicker and not too much bushy.

Unless you really like very short hair, there's quite a bit of very short hair.

 

Still managed to pull off some good looking ones tho.

Well, i had a female, so the eyebrows were, well , feminine on my Inquisitors - heh. But back to the hair, I found the bob that I currently have acceptable. Previously thought I'd be okay with a couple of the styles prior to release, and I am, but more variety would defnitely have been good.

My friend streamed TLoU for me recently, and my reaction to the characters' hair was: "I kinda wish the hair in DA:I looked like this."

Gotta agree hair kind of lacking so far been recycling the same few hairs for my Inquisitors. Kind of wish they made more unique hair styles to the Inquisitor ones that NPCS wouldn't' be walking around with but I'll settle for better hairs in general, really missed the Sten hair and the DAO Anroa hair shame those couldn't carry over to DAI at least.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but you are.

Of course one could make a great looking character, but never a character who will look iunique no matter what race or gender you choose. They all would look the same because basically we have a couple of decent looking faces and a couple of decent looking hairstyles.

It's f-cking too little for a several playthrough.  Of all the pc people posted here on BSN I would recreate only one, and surprise-surpise, to do so you'll have to use a custom makeup and a custom eyebrows.

That is how our characters are supposed to look. It shouldn't be that freaking hard to understand. BW do games what, ten, fifteen years? And their character creation tools still suck a**. What's the point of a Frostbite if we can't make a character whol would look interesting? The OP is right, all our companions look better than the pc. Period.

I just don't know why 90% of the eyebrows look like abominations.

 

I've never plucked my eyebrows a day in my life. They don't look like caveman monstrosities on my head, nor freaking caterpillars.

Problem is they wanted "modern look" but even bigger problem is that none of hair I saw are "modern" I'm yet to see one sane person in this world wanting to wear any of that hairstyle.So short hair is not issue.I love short hair they are great,problem are ones we got in game.If they bothered to do proper research on short hair they would see that they can get their "modern" looking hair that people would love.If any of these short hairs were made in game I would die happy:

I know I wept softly when I saw that, (went with the templars first so my bubble was burst quite quickly) I really wanted that hair I always liked it.
