Picking the History Knowledge perk option at Adamant to convince the Wardens to stand down.
Sentencing Erimond to Tranquility.
Morrigan: "I never thought to find someone in this world I could trust as an equal. He has been a good partner, and a good father."
Sera confiding in my Qunari on the Roof.....shouldve given me a HUG options goddamit !
Definitely one of my favorite friendship/romantic moments in the game -- makes me want to do another Sera romance on another play-through.
My current most favorite though, after 2 1/2 play-throughs, is the conversation near the end of the game with Cass on the ramparts, when she talks about how she and you have gone from adversaries to true friends.
Second favorite has to be when Mother Giselle starts singing and then Leliana and the rest join in after Haven. I still get chills at that -- I only wish the soundtrack that came with the Deluxe Edition had that full version, and not just the choral version. (Best "D'oh" moment was on my second play-through when I realized that the song is also the game's theme with words.)
Reading the gravestones in the Fade. Yep that one got me.
Not as much as Morrigan's text page in DAI or Alistair being choked up at my Warden's death in DAO but still got to me.
Probably Dorian's personal quest. I've had identity crisis earlier in my life and I had so much difficulty accepting myself, while Dorian just pretty much goes on with everything and doesn't give his damnest on what anyone thinks. I kind of felt terrible and relieved at the same time. Actually made me rethink a little.
In the same level, talking to Iron Bull about Krem made me smile, too.
And Cassandra's line of conversations too, even though yes, the book scene earned a few giggles from me, but hearing her voice change to this open, less tense tone compared to the commanding one she usually uses is really amazing. Then the part where she just tells my Lavellan that they're friends and she's so proud to be a friend of hers. By this point in the story I've felt like I've been doing a trainwreck of bad decisions and she still believes in me, and I admire her the same, probably more. The fact that my Lavellan could be level and close with someone she greatly admires just made me smile.
There's also the parts after Haven. I literally felt crushed when I just see my Lavellan shivering and walking past that snowstorm and she's not making any sound except for her chattering teeth and the desperate attempts to keep warm. When she was found and the song later came, it felt kind of symbolic and personal to me.
These are basically exactly my personal moments too. Not quite as much with Cassandra overall, but still.
Encouraging Dorian to forgive his father struck a chord with me, got me all introspective 'n' that.
No doubt, for me, it is at the end when my Qunari rogue, who romanced Cassandra, is informed that she has just agreed to become Divine, after all we had been through!! That was fine, but then she approaches when he is returning to his quarters and says she just wants to a catch a moment, while she can. And it dawns on you, how long you have been playing and how far you have come with all of those characters, but especially, for my rogue, Cassandra. A really well done scene, and it really nailed the feeling of something that just wasn't meant to be. Neither could have any complaints, it was just where fate had taken them and they needed to follow their destinies. Perfectly done, in my opinion. For me, Cassandra was the best portrayed character in the game and the way her character develops throughout the game is one of the high points for me.
The nightmare sequence in Champions of the Just with Envy. It's a good reminder of how easily one could abuse your title as the "Herald of Andraste" and the destruction the inquisition could bring if used for darker ends.

yeah that was a very bittersweet moment
I still hope they stay together somehow
Dorian's personal quest struck right in my heart. I grew up very close with my father, but as a teenager he did not approve of who I was as a person, and turned to emotional abuse to try and change me. That whole scene just brought it all rushing right back.
I was also floored by the final romance scene with Solas. The whole thing was just so beautifully written and heartbreaking.

The thing about it was that my character did support her to be Divine because, in my opinion, she was clearly the best option of the contenders within the Inquisition. So it wasn't even as if my Inquisitor was trying to sabotage the deal. It just seemed to make sense so the Inquisitor is actually agreeing to make the sacrifice as well.
She would have to change some Chantry rules!!
Cassandra was the Divine in my first game, but I romanced Sera, so I thought it was great. This time around I'm romancing Cassandra, so selfishly trying to make sure Leliana becomes Divine. The game really seems to want Cassandra in there, though. Even she seems to want it. It's like, I just finished Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, and Inky and Cass had their first real chat about the future of the chantry, and I could almost feel a distance beginning to grow between them. In my first playthrough I left my Hawke in the fade (It said may die, so I thought Hawke being younger than Loghain she would have a better chance to still get out). Varric man, he got me when he was tore up over Hawke. Saddest I've been in a video game since the end of the first Walking Dead. I remember in my second playthrough Varric comments about how "they've done enough to Hawke" I was like I know! I'm so sorry Varric I'll never do that again to you.
-The Fade decision
-The Dawn Will Come: Made me realized that despite know that I got the anchor due to an accident I have to keep that asecret and give hope to these people and be the Herald for them
- Morrighan and Flemeth reunion

I don't think there is a version where she turns it down but something does seem to change when the Chantry comes up and her greetings appear a bit more formal. Although my character had stated that he was not sure when asked about the Maker, etc. I think that the writers definitely did want Cassandra as Divine and, as she seemed to want it too, I didn't have the heart to put Leliana in there. Villages on fire as the mages ran amok!!

Female Lavellan and... pretty much every Solas and elf-related moment.
Some specific details:
- Meeting Corypheus for the first time. Ancient elves were conquered and enslaved by ancient magisters. Corypheus is an ancient darkspawn who was a magister when Tevinter was at the height of its power. When the Herald glares down Corypheus, which the game specifically identifies as what inspires people to promote and join you as the Inquisitor, for her it was not just about being a mortal glaring down a super-powered enemy. It was about being a lowly elf glaring defiantly at one of the ancient magisters that represents the might of the Imperium; and showing him up.
- Receiving the honor of becoming the Inquisitor, and being allowed to accept the honor on behalf of all elves everywhere.
- Second kiss with Solas on the balcony, and when he whispers "Ar lath ma, vhenan." ![]()
- The entire trip to the Temple of Mythal and meeting with Abelas, beginning to end.
- The decision to drink from the Well of Sorrows, and all that follows.
- Solas offering to remove her Mythal vallaslin, her momentary crisis of faith ending in deciding the vallaslin are still part of who she is, then Solas seemingly dumping her for it. ![]()
- Morrigan and Flemeth's reunion with Kieran. Also, just meeting Mythal, the All-Mother Goddess. Learning she is also Flemeth, Morrigan's mother, and now the mistress of my Lavellan's soul. Realizing the stories are true and the gods really have abandoned them for not being worthy of saving. Learning that the symbolic "slave marking" of Mythal she still wears on her face are now more literal since she really is a slave of Mythal, and can call upon her servant any time. (Though also symbolic because she chose to keep her vallaslin even knowing what they are to symbolize her dedication to her people and heritage, and she drank from the Well to gain her people's knowledge, and would do it again even knowing what she knows now.)
- Final battle with Corypheus - when he taunts, "Look at you! Wearing your slave markings with pride!" and "You're a race of sniveling cowards that fled before the might of Tevinter!" Lit a fire in her soul and drove her to zap him and blast him that much harder, and use the elven orb he took from her people to hand his butt to him. That's right - average elven mortal you superpowered magister looked down on, who "stole" the power of the elven orb that you yourself stole from the elves, and used its power to stop you from enslaving the world like you enslaved her ancestors, and used it to send you physically into the Fade exactly as you wanted. Karma's a witch, ain't it, Cory?
- Solas' heartbroken reaction to seeing the shattered orb, and his sad words, "Whatever may come, what we had was real" before disappearing.
For me it was right after the final battle.
The advisers all bow and then Josie runs up to my PC and they hug each other in front of everyone just happy to have one.
It was a tiny moment really but one I found to be extremely touching.
Not gonna lie. I LOL'ed. This post could also be in the "D'OH!" thread.I accidentally shot a halla with my bow and it exploded.
My Inquisitor was Dalish.
My Dalish Inquisitor and every single elf-related reveal, I imagine.
MY LIFE IS A LIEEEEEEE
Haha same, I had ending sort of spoiled for me so I made an elf and romanced Solas because I thought it would be funny.
I'M SO SORRY! Although RPing her getting steadily more disillusioned was fun. The scene where Solas tells you about the slave tats was just horrible. Man, he has awful timing. You would think you want wait for the shock of them having much of their beliefs shown to be flat out wrong, finding out ancient elves have been around the whole time but haven't helped their people at all and that they don't even consider them one of their people to wear off a bit before you make an ass out of them some more and ask them if they want you to modify their face and erase something hugely important to their peoples culture. The line "this is what we kept? a relic from a time when we were no better than Tevinter?" is just...ouch. Then he breaks up with her and she thinks her not wanting the tattoos removed is why. Sera, of course, just has to rub salt in the wounds about the temple. Shortly after she finds out Mythal has ALSO been around all this time but isn't what she thought either.
Definitely the Vallaslin removal for me...

When Dorian was on his personal mission with daddy issues and was so gay, oh, what a sensitive gay, how personal that was...I felt like vomitttting ! No, just kidding, an emotional moment was meeting Morrigan in Halamshiral as she was my love interest in Dragon Age Origins. She is so lovely !
