My experience with this Dragon age game has been really bad compared to previous games. My character can't interact with important things like doors and turbucket...... so. I am stuck not able to finish the game.. I even pre-purchased this because I was so excited to play.

What a bummer! Here it is middle of January  and all I hear is talk of " Patch 1, Patch 2" Should be out tomorrow???? Written in December.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I had game breaking bugs too, but they usually go away after reloading a save. I save a lot x.x

2 patches are out (I believe), future patches are temporarily on hold because of holidays. Don't expect most of the bugs to be fixed for about half a year or more, there seems to be a lot of them.

Bioware doesn't put a high enough priority on fixing bugs. They never have.

Where do you think you are? Blizzard forums? Cd Projek?

BW provides token support for their game, release few patches just so they can say they did. They will not repair anything too profoundly dysfunctional though.

..And yet, I'm patiently waiting and seeing if they make PC controls that are bit less wretched. Clearly game is meant to be played with pad, on casual difficulty. I'd like to experience difficulty that forces me to do good (amount of) party management. Current control system really doesn't allow this.  I'm prolly stupid for hoping.

The thing I hate is the grenade capacity bug; I have Sera (through skills and an awesome belt) rocking 7 bees and 7 antivan fires...but since Bioware's QA is about as competent as Ubisoft's PC team....I can not enjoy it.

So where are you stuck?
I can't remember doors blocking progress?

And loading an earlier save doesn't work?

From what you write I think you may be going through "In your heart shall burn.". If so, there are issues. The doors do not always open immediately. Try again after a short pause. If a door is blocked you will have to clear it first. Try violence. To move/fire the trebuchet you need to hold the right mouse button, or equivalent on other systems. Just clicking won't do anything here, but you are left to work that out for yourself. There is another quest, which you may do earlier, where the same thing applies, but in a less tense situation. Hope that helps.

For the record, "In your heart shall burn." was one of the most memorable scenes in my first playthrough, and I have just gone through it a second time and still like it.

Well, patch 1 and 2 have long been released.   Since your particular bug seems pretty isolated to you...  I would suggest repairing the files from Origin.   Or simply restarting from an earlier save.   Its possible that the particular save you are using is corrupted.

I haven't heard of your particular issue, but I also find that patches don't always fix an issue that has triggered such as a locked door.  You probably would be best off loading an old save.

Try saving and loading the game. That usually works. I've had minor bugs where I wouldn't go into conversations no matter how many times I press the "talk" button, that's how I fixed them.

I've hit this one as well, Reloading was also the only solution I could come up with that worked.

What patches? There have been patches released? I play on the ps4 and didn't realize any patches have been released.

There have been two patches, but they weren't very large in size.  There was 1.01 for launch day, but they released 1.02 in December with a quick patch to fix the issues it created.  Patch 1.02 fixed a lot of driver issues on the PC so it might not have been noticeable for the consoles.

There was a day 1 patch and a patch that came out around Christmas. If you have your PS4 set to auto-update, it probably downloaded and installed them automatically. Mine did.

If your on the ps4 just highlight the game icon hit options then update history.

If you look it up they fixed/buffed/nerfed over a hundred things sense launch.
