Dang it..I can't resist wanting to suggest it anymore. I already know every reason why that probably wouldn't be a good idea, but on other hand..It would be something different. When I was replaying Awakening not too long ago, I thought to myself "Man with all these talking Dark Spawn, just imagine if we could have one as an ally." To put it simply, I kind of think of it like how we got Legion in Mass Effect.  The Dark Spawn taint/corruption would probably be a problem though..Not to mention their terrible looking appearance they have now as well lol

I dunno....I was sympathetic with the Architect in Awakenings, but then I read The Calling, and it's whole "save my brethren from the call of the old gods" seemed a little bit insane ^.^ but I agree that it could be cool to at least further explore the idea of intelligent darkspawn, given that all emissaries have a form of speech, and it's not too far fetched to think another might be born with intelligence (if your warden killed the Architect)

I legit agree with you but only if they are a talking one, have great fashion like the Architect, and it would be really awesome if they were an aspiring poet and a bit of a snot.

How could it not take of it's clothes in a sex scene? I mean it's not like bioware has ever done that before in one of their - Oh wait.

A darkspawn companion is a cool idea but come on.. its a walking pile of evil that infects everything around it. It can be a pacifict puppy loving free willed darkspawn and it would still be a thing that carries the blight with it.

Bringing in one of the Awakened (some of them survived Awakening, the ending told me so) could be an interesting vehicle to reveal more about the Darkspawn, if they wanted to go in that direction. I have to admit, I have wondered just what an intelligent darkspawn would want out of life.

Eh... disappointed because Legion had no romance? or disappointed because Legion was there at all? In the latter case: HERETIC! BURN AT THE STAKE! Legion was awesome.

 

Re: darkspawn companion... I doubt it would work for lore reasons UNLESS Bioware actually allowed some sort of 'evil campaign'. Can't see that within the current "Inquisition" set-up, but it'd be awesome to behold in a DLC or maybe a future game. IMO. I miss 'evil' playthroughs a la KOTOR.

Now that would actually make it worthwhile.  Kill the DarkSpawn companion sidequest, in gruesome tortuous fashion.  Otherwise no.
