So far this is what I understand:

a. Morrigan has child, Morrigan use WoS - M gets bounded to Flem, child soul taken.

b. Morrigan has child, Inquisitor use WoS - Inqus helps Flem, M doesn't get bounded to Flem, child soul taken.

c. Morrigan has no child, M use WoS - M gets bounded to Flem

and here's where I don't know

d. Morrigan has no child, Inquisitor use WoS - what happens?

Since M didn't use WoS, she can't be bounded to Flem. Since she has no child, she's not threatened by Flem, and no soul is taken. So if that's the case, what does Flem do with M when she appears? I lost the save before the choice, so can someone who played this rout tell me what happens?

Thanks

They talk.  That's it.

And Morrigan is really happy that you didn't let her use the Well...

In that case Morrigan follows the Inquisitor to the altar out of curiosity of what would happen by summoning Mythal. The Inquisitor is revealed to be bound to Flemeth as you'd expect.

All the more reason to let her drink it.

I dislike it that someone has to drink. Better Morrigan than me, but I like her and hate to see her under Mythal's thumb.

She really doesn't understands Flemeth though, she thinks that Flemeth wants to use her, when it's not true

(I don't know if this happens without the OGB, but my heart sunk a little when Flemeth made that sad face)

I did. Was laughing my as$ off when she said she wished my character had drank from it. It was so worth it.

During this sequence there is a dialogue exchange between Flemeth and Morrigan that has some bearing in my estimation. After originally acquiring Flemeth's grimoire way back in DA:O, Morrigan felt threatened by her mothers impending possession of her body (in order to extend her long life). Flemeth specifically clarifies that Morrigan had never been in any danger, as only a willing soul could be a part of that process.

[Dev notes related to that post-credits scene between Solas & Flemeth also reveal that an agreement between these two was in place to transfer Flemeth/Mythal's godhood to Morrigan was intended.]

That being the case, the preferred recipient of the Wells of Sorrows powers is therefore our own lovely Morrigan. I had the Inquisitor take the well on my first playthrough, but all things being equal - - - that won't happen again.

it's her mom. Think of it as a much needed humbling for Morrigan.

Flemeth.

The way you pronounce it makes the spelling more like Flemyth.

Flemyth.

Myth elf?

Mythal elf?

How did CSI:BSN miss this?

This is what makes me think that people are making too much of the idea of Urthemiel's god soul

Spoiler
To me this would just be way too much of a plot point for them to include when some players never agreed to having the God-baby in the first place. Plus I refuse to believe
Spoiler

ENDGAME SPOILERS ABOVE, FYI.

Just for future reference, do we have to use spoiler tags like CallistaLorian did in a spoiler section of the forum? I thought the rule was not to put spoilers in the title.

I just did it for safety. Because the title refers to something that happens BEFORE the end of the game, I didn't want to spoiler anyone who hasn't made it past this quest, if you see what I mean. This is the sort of thing I personally might google just out of interest while playing, and click on the link thinking it would only contain information regarding the question. Ramble ramble - did any of that make sense?

If the inquisitor uses the well then Flemeth has them subdue Morrigan (which you will have seen already in the b scenario)

Also, does anyone know what happens if your Warden romanced Morrigan but didn't do the ritual? I know she will have Kieran but he won't have the OG soul. I wonder what happens in that exchange between the three of them. Or if he's even there to find Flemeth since he wouldn't hear the whispers or have the dreams.

I didn't hate it at first (my Inquisitor is power hungry) but now looking back its definitely not good that he can be controlled by the freaking Dread Wolf

Morrigan was so pissed when Inquisitor drank from and the Well. Well, until Flemythal events. Inquisitor cases? Just some talking ghosts and a dragon that appear out of nowhere.

Drink from the well only if you want to be bound to Solas for the eternity, good for a romance.

Let Morrigan drink (she dislike Solas) and the two of them will become the  best couple of Thedas.

Well, considering that Flemeth had plans to give Mythal's power to Morrigan.

She will be bound to herself at the end :x

I like Morrigan too, but I can't lie that I find it a bit poetic that it should go down like this after everything that's happened.

My main DAO game was goody-two-shoes, so no old-god-child is in my background story for DAI.

On top, I play an Dalish Keeper Inquisitor and you can bet that this one feels compelled to use the WoS himself just in order to discover more about the Elven history. Being bound to Mythal, an Elven goodess, is for her a godly boon and not a shackle. It is a pity though that this pov is not really supported by the dialogues. It still comes across as if Morrigan knows it all and the Inquisitor just fumbling with unfamiliar knowledge and power. This is a pity, because somehow those Dalish Keepers should have some more advanced knowledge than simple circle mages. The dialogue does not recognize this, though. While Morrigan gets a scene where she is delighted about recognizing fine nuances in Elven script, nothing like this is being done for a Dalish Keeper Inquisitor. It is really a shame.

Instead, for the story mood and plot, a bound Morrigan, who as a boon gets to know how to transform into a Dragon (she is of the shapeshifter mage specialisation in DAO, after all), makes much more sense. It should have been such that Morrigan should have gotten this boon regardless whether she used the WoS or the Inquisitor. OFC it would have been totally awesome if a Inquisitor mage would have been able to learn this ability for the final boss fight!

I'm pretty sure that he isn't good either... ;) I always knew that there is something fishy about him and his lies. He basically bs-d you all along with his pathetic stories. He knew all along what the orb is.. and what is it for and what Cory wanted with it. My understanding of the ending is that he wanted it for himself.

I liked how, when my Dalish Inquisitor drank from the Well in a save where the Hero of Ferelden had refused the Dark Ritual, Morrigan commented on how other people are always botching up her plans, or something to that effect. :D

If Flemeth ultimately intended for Morrigan to become Mythal's new host and steward of Thedas, Morrigan who drank from the Well will no longer be bound, presumably... but an Inquisitor who drank will be bound to Morrigan.

Flemeth. Mythal. i love Flemeth. best char in DA:I universe, my canon PC can be her host, no problem. she's a mage, knows stuff (almost full codex) and has the anchor thingy, very nice place to live indeed. not Morrigan. that would be the most cruel thing ever
