I am planning on buying Dragon Age: Inquisition for my Xbox 360. The thing is, I have no intention on paying for an Xbox Live account. I would really like to import my world state onto my game if I eventually decide to buy it.
My question is: do I have to pay to do so? Can I just connect my xbox to my wifi and import it without paying? And also, how do I link my Origin account to my Xbox?

Nah, it's free for everyone. You just need to be connected to the internet, and have a gamertag linked with your origin account. 
You can probably find a tutorial or FAQ to help you link your origin account to your xbox account.
