Gotta admit, i find the whole "i put a flag here, so its mine" thing going on brilliant. We british did conquer 1/4 of the world with that method after all. Its especially hilarious to claim random logs that people have cut up with sticking a flag between them.

"I claim india for britain!"

"You can't claim us, we live here. 500 million of us"

"do you have a flag?"

"we don't need a bloody flag, this is our country"

"no flag, no country"

It's true.

In Inquisition, enemy forces marching on positions simply see the 'Under the protection of the Inquisition' flags, shed a solitary tear, hang their heads and start the slow march back home.

This reminds me of Blackadder...

Well we do need reminding, if America fails creating the "one world" Britain might get a shot at empires again.

Better get those ruled over fools adjusted to flag planting and falling in awe again!!

Hey we Brits aren't all that bad, but yeah our flag rocks and still does. Maybe the empire was successful because the flag was damn colourful?

As for quizzy placing random flags That did amuse me, I mean what happens if the red Templars walk in? Do they just run back to their bases and cry?

"We couldn't get to the logging stand, there was already a flag there! It was scary, it had an eye, a sword and everything!"

OMG YEESSSSSSSSSSSSS I love Eddie Izzard. I always thought of that bit while I was claiming landmarks and stuff. Glad to see I wasn't the only one.

Must be terribly uncomfortable for the mount to be crammed in Hammerspace with all those flag poles.

That reminds me of a story I read where the british (I think) started a war with some natives due to some flag they put in their territory, and that the natives kept putting down (and the english kept putting back up). The natives won. And at the end of it they put it down for good :D

My favourite was the sacred elven burial site in the Exalted Plains.

"I already cleared out the demons from your burial site, and CLAIMED IT FOR THE INQUISITION!"

Even then we never quite topped America's most audacious effort:

Gotta admit.

Everytime I 'claim' and area and *whomp* that Inquisition flag into the ground, I think of Eddie.

Which was possibly the greatest fake in history.

It's a bit strange, that the nation, who claims to be the first one on the moon isn't even able to launch a shuttle without an accident nowadays.

And be glad that was a British Empire, and not MY country all over ze world ... we would have zrown towels on everyzing we wanted ^^ (british tourists will understand)

Damn catchy marching-music ... that really wants me to put on a uniform, get totally politically incorrect and teach some ignorant little naked people armed with spears a lesson about civilization ... with a gatling-gun...and damn those red uniforms were so awesome looking ...

Once, in response to a question about who was Africa's greatest leader, I replied, "Queen Victoria."

The message board I was on didn't like that answer.

Believing humanity never landed on the Moon is on par with rejecting the Theory of Evolution.

Someone said the moon landing was faked to Buzz Aldrin and he punched the person who said it... It really is an insult to say that to the people who risked going up there and that proves it. He also said that the flag was standing up like it was blowing in the wind because he used either some type of glue or resin to make sure that it did. Stupid conspiracy theories.
