Ok so I now have my Cerberus Network key for my DDE copy, as well as the Reg key for it and the promo codes for the inferno armor, collector armor and incisor armor, can I just enter the latter 3 into the promo code section or do I need to swap the reg key/Cerberus Network number that is connected to my acct to the DDE ones?

enter the latter 3 into the social site as well as the cerberus key. then download and install all of the content.

then load up the game (ignore the initial error about the dlc not being able to load) - and log into the SAME account you have for social site (in game). everything will work then.

you are essentially linking the login in game and the login into the social site.

Hello everybody.

I've redeemed all my codes on the website and now I can't join to cerberus network. I receive "error with server, timeout". I created new account via game menu and I can connect to it without any problems, but I've already used my code for cerberus on old account. Any working solutions or just waiting?

My regular edition, retail PC version didn't include a Cerberus code. How do you intend to fix this?

EA is not responding. And there's several other people with this issue.

It is idiotic to have these bureaucratic systems in place just to get a tiny bit of extra content. It's a matter of principle to me. Treating your paying customers like this is appalling. Ignoring them completely is even worse.

This worked for me as i have a different email address for ea and bioware,

Pc - if you redeemed your extras on the website before you started the game, downloaded them and then started the game, logged into ea then found you could not access the cerabus network, or that your redeem code is already in use.

1. launch the game

2. go to extras

3. go to options then online,

4. uncheck the auto log in

5. exit restart the game then log in with your bioware email and password

it worked for me.

I have registered the game on the wrong email-adress on the EA-side of the DRM thus I cannot access DLC ingame.

Well let me run down my tech glitches and personal feeligs.

1. I
had no problems getting my extra content.  Thats good.  I did have a
problem getting my Red Dragon armor, until  I tried it over and over.
I got it, but still don't know how I did it.
2. Bartender quest.  He
poisoned me, woke up and swore vengeance for the batender.  I opened
that quest in the Journal, but no matter how many times I go back to
the bartender, I'm only allowed 2 options - A. Have a drink(which I can
dink as much as I want to), or B.  Walk away,  No dialogue to confront
him, even after doing a job, and coming back to him.  Major
diassapointment, but not as much as...
3. I am now stuck in mid air,
while trying to get to the plague area.  Can't get out of it, just
walkin 4 feet off the ground going nowhere.  This is an ancient game clitch/issue
like getting stuck in walls back in the day.  I never would have expected this from you
or this otherwise fabulous game.  This is really unaccepable for a
state of the art, bleeding edge game like M.E.2.  I don't know why you released a game with this major glitch

General
feelings.  I am so sick of using the Keyboard while playing a game.  I
clearly understand why you did it, but it really cuts down on my enjoyment, especially when I run into a guy, and I have to move, not him. Then you have to walk around him!  That's ancient gameplay technology as well.  You're the man on a mission or the bad ass, and they should make a hole without impeding you.  I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of anything right now. :pinched::o:(

Hi, I cannot activate the game.

I purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition through EA Store in december, downloaded it last monday and activated it through this site the same day using this URL. As you can see with the red 2 under my avatar, it is activated.

Yet now that I can get past the release date check, I am asked to activate the game, which is impossible.

1. I am asked to login to activate the game (screenshot)
2. Activation fails (screenshot) but I am correctly signed in (I have only one account, so no mistake)
3. So I am offered to enter my product key instead (screenshot)
4. Now it finally worked and it says that the game is activated (screenshot)
5. Yet when I click the big green button to start the game, it ends with an error due to being unable to connect to EA (screenshot). My internet connection is working fine and my firewall doesn't block EA nor ME2 (double checked).

I tried to launch it several times and it keeps failing on me. What is going wrong? Do I need to install a no-dvd patch to be able to play it? (oh irony... I did purchase the game)

Side note: now when I launch EADM, Mass Effect 2 doesn't appear anymore as the Collector's Edition, but as the normal edition. 1. Why? 2. Is it linked to the fact that I can't activate my Collector's Edition?

My codes all arrived etc, but my EA account for my 360 sems to be attached to some mystery account on their site that I didn't manually set up, unlike the 2 that I actually do have there for different games on the PC. Trying to get ahold of EA the day the game arrived in the mail to make sure it wouldn't be a problem or to link the accounts if it would seemed like a reasonable way to avoid problems. 22 hours later I'm still waiting to hear anything at all from their customer service...... I'll give you 3 guesses about how happy I am with that.

Bioware has created another masterpiece in the game and it's not like I'm going to start a boycott etc from their epics as I've bought most every one they've done and been just as impressed. But even though it's really a minor issue in the grand scheme of things when the customer service side of the equation is that grossly negligent and you're not getting the little bits of extra goodness, it really does hurt the experience.

Was looking forward to some diff armour and stuff, bah any idea why the cerberus computer doesn't display as open, I activated the redeem codes downloaded and installed, everytime I open the game it says it's unable to authorize them or some crap. It always says unable to contact Cerberus server aswell, and I can't login manually it really sucks.

Make that 9 hours. I love Bioware, but their argument for the cerberus network was to instill a greater adhesive for the community. When it blocks you from acessing your paid content and you have no way of getting a resolution in a timely manner I hope they realize it actually becomes a corrosive to the loyalty of those who buy said content.

I don't expect it to run perfectly to be fair, but when it's been half a week and I can't get a response (even if it's to tell me I made no sense in my message) on a question within over a full workday from official channels I really do feel rather embittered about the entire process. For now I'll just ignore the dlc I paid for and enjoy the game, but color me unimpressed and disappointed by this entire experience, mainly on the customer service side of the equation.

Very well said. If you're going to implement something brand new that's clearly not properly tested and isn't remotely ready for the public, then it's simple: don't charge for it. They've set themselves up to embitter and ****** off legions of gamers, and I count myself among them. Bioware makes great games, but this is one disastrously bad move. It's completely turned me off from Bioware DLC, and based on this experience I highly doubt I'll be buying any DLC of any sort from Bioware in the future, nor will I bother to shell out money for some kind of "extended" edition.

I have a question: I regretfully purchased the deluxe edition on Steam, that supposedly came with all sorts of bonus content outside of the game, such as a documentary and a comic book. What's the deal with this - where in the world do we find this content? There's no information anywhere about it. What should have been a very simple and pleasant experience has become confusing and frustrating.

Steam should have told you where it was. Go to your mass effect 2 install directory, and look for a folder called 'bonus'.

It was designed to be straightforward...if the vendors would actually communicate the information to the players!

Took me about two minutes to find my bonus content from the steam download...there was a link inside of steam that took you straight to their forums with all the detailed information. I don't think steam is the issue here so much as the EA/Bioware servers either being overloaded or just plain screwed up. I recieved the error message saying the server can not be reached almost instantly when I put in the serial key for the deluxe edition items. I guess I'll have to try my luck when I get home from work.

I haven't seen a thread on this yet, so if one exists please accept my apologies.

I purchased, installed and registered the PC Collector's Edition of "Mass Effect 2" yesterday. Everything went well including the activation of the Ceberus network card and the transfer of saved games from "Mass Effect 1". I played for many hours yesterday night and again this evening, sadly I've just discovered that all the achievements I unlocked yesterday are gone. There is no way I'm restarting the game just to re-earn some of the achievements that apparently can ONLY be achieved at the beginning of the game because EA or BioWare dropped the ball on achievement storage for the PC. I've read posts of similar things occurring with EA's FIFA games and quite frankly I would have expected that something that I can only assume is simple compared to actually programming the main game would have been fixed and double or triple checked a long time ago.

Sure, achievements shouldn't be what a game is about and it's my own free choice whether to pursue them or not, but they are like annoying flies: Once you notice them they are hard to ignore and I want back what I had already achieved dammit!

Hi there,

I used my Mass Effect 2 Digital Collector code to download and install the game via EA Downloader.

All fine.

I then registered the game and the bonus code on the Bioware Social Network.

All fine: managed to download and install the contents.

Now it's 29th and I decide to play the game: the game asks for my EA account and I log in. Then it asks for my activation code: I put it in and... ALREADY USED. I just cannot play the game.

Please someone help me with this...

I'll add: in the "register game" window Mass Effect 2 PC lists "remove registration" (and I have the damned "red 2" under my avatar...) so it seems it IS registered and linked to my account... Still the game does not start and if I try to use my activation code it says it's already used. How can I open a formal support ticket?

Thank you

Ezahn

I have a problem with the Cerberus network content. I installed the game and started it up. Then typed in the cerberus network activation code when the game asked for it. I noticed that it didn't seem possible to download the Cerberus Network DLC in-game, so I came here to the social site and tried to redeem my cerberus code here, since the site didn't seem to recognize that I already was a Cerberus Network member. However, it didn't accept my code, saing that it had already been used. So, what should I do? How can I get my Cerberus Network membership to work properly?

I posted this on a separate thread but this board is fast and it has already been buried. I hope it gets more attention here.
This is the "old" thread: http://social.biowar...06/index/838606

DarkOmegaX wrote...

 Hi,

I didn't see a thread with this exact same problem so I started a new one.
I pre-ordered Mass Efffect Digital Deluxe Edition for PC from GamersGate but I didn't get the Inferno Armor when I redeemed my codes.
Let me describe what I did so you can point out if I did anything wrong:

  • I installed the game and run it for the first time.
  • I was asked to login with my EA account which I did and I was prompted to enter my serial number. I entered the serial GamersGate gave me which looked like this: 1111-2222-3333-4444-5555 and was labeled as "serial" in my GamersGate account.
  • The game started and I was asked to enter my Cerberus Network code. I didn't know which one of the 2 promo codes GamersGate gave me was the Cerberus code because they were labeled as "serial 2" and "serial 3" but I went ahead and wrote the first one ("serial 2"). Both of them looked like this: 1111-2222-3333-4444
  • The code was recognized and I was granted access to Cerberus Network so I exited the game to start downloading my free DLC.
  • I went to http://social.biowar...redeem_code.php and redeemed my second promo code ("serial 3") and the page said the registration was successful.
  • I went to http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php and downloaded all the DLC in the list which included:
    • Collectors' Weapon and Armor
    • Incisor Sniper Rifle
    • Zaeed - The Price of Revenge (Cerberus Network)
    • Normandy Crash Site (Cerberus Network)
  • After all that I installed everything, run the game again and played until the part just before meeting the Illusive Man. I check the armor rack and I have the N7 Armor and the Collector's Armor available to try on but not the Inferno Armor.

So my questions are:
  • Did GamersGate forgot to send me an additional promo code or should the Inferno Armor have unlocked with one of the codes I redeemed already?
  • If I'm not missing a promo code then who should I contact, GamersGate or Bioware/EA? I'm positive my purchase was a pre-order.
  • Does anybody from Bioware can confirm that GamersGate was going to give the Inferno Armor to those who pre-ordered? They advertised that they would but I'd like confirmation.
I already went ahead and contacted their support but I'm awaiting a better answer from them because the first one was just a copy/paste from the how to get the bonus content.
It would be nice if somebody from Bioware could provide assistance or instructions of what should I do.
