ok.. so my pc meets all system requirements, yet when i went to play the game it said my hardware was unsupported... slow running.. yada yada. and then it crashed.

Every time after that i press play and it instantly says mass effect 2 has stopped working... soo my question is, wtf?

Preorderd it a month in advance because i thought it might be cool and now i cant even play it... dragon age was awsome, ME2 epic fail. =)

oh yeah, and i registered dragonage, and ME2 when i installed them but it doesnt show up on my profile. not a big problem but still sufficient to anoy me further.

Hi there,

I used my Mass Effect 2 Digital Collector code to download and install the game via EA Downloader.
All fine.
I then registered the game and the bonus code on the Bioware Social Network.
All fine: managed to download and install the contents.

Now it's 29th and I decide to play the game: the game asks for my EA account and I log in. Then it asks for my activation code: I put it in and... ALREADY USED. I just cannot play the game.
Please someone help me with this...

I'll add: in the "register game" window Mass Effect 2 PC lists "remove registration" (and I have the damned "red 2" under my avatar...) so it seems it IS registered and linked to my account... Still the game does not start and if I try to use my activation code it says it's already used. How can I open a formal support ticket?

Thank you

Ezahn

I have same problem (with polish version) and exacly same question - what to do, where to send ticket?

I have the standard retail copy. I registered the game by using the same account on EA and Bioware websites, tried activating the Cerberus by entering the relevant code. Yet during start up the game failed to log-in to Cerberus network, and with message "Unable to authorize the listed DLCs" (i installed Blood dragon armor, Zaeed and Normandy).

PS - Each times trying to log-in by typed in my email account and password, the game keep saying my password is incorrect with my account ID - although i repeatedly to ensure the password is right when key in, i even reset the password but still no go.

I can't even get to the point of writing in my code or anything. I Click past "press any key to continue" and whether I hit cancel or continue after it tells me about Cerberus, it hangs on the screen with the EA logo and please wait indefinitely. I've tried various posted solutions, what do I do? I have downloaded and installed the content already, but it doesn't appear to matter.

So now in addition to not being able to play the game at all, I can't even get to the main menu, and I've wasted $15 on the Cerberus key.

Hi, I cannot activate the game.

Same problem here. Same first steps, to be more precise.

I purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition through EA Store in december, downloaded it last monday and activated it through this site the same day using this URL. As you can see with the red 2 under my avatar, it is activated.

Yet now that I can get past the release date check, I am asked to activate the game, which is impossible.

1. I am asked to login to activate the game (screenshot)
2. Activation fails (screenshot) but I am correctly signed in (I have only one account, so no mistake)
3. So I am offered to enter my product key instead (screenshot)

4. I type in the key but it's not working. Window keeps on telling me something like "the product key can't be used to activate this game".

Any ideas?

This is where mine went C:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Program Files (x86)\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Mass Effect 2\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\BioGame\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\DLC not sure if there are any other DLC files that go other places but that is where most of it is, in the game folder.

And for post above, maybe your CD key has been stolen, or your typing the wrong EA account info in, I wouldn't know too much, I never got the Deluxe one. Only other thing I can say is, try disabling your anti-virus software before starting game, it may be somehow blocking it.

I've read the replies and an still having issues with Cerberus, I purchased through steam, used my Cerberus Network key on this account, can see the 2nd computer on the main menu, and it tells me about Zaheed and Normany crash site. Can download these 2 addons. BUT the problem I have, arises when I use the menu option under Extra's > Open EA Online Store. It opens a webpage, that tells me

''Some versions of Mass Effect 2 contain a redemption code to obtain Cerberus Network activation.

Connect now and receive bonus...''

However, its already logged into my account, and I cant figure out what's wrong. Is it supposed to display that ? (it also gives me options to buy the Cerberus Network, but I assumed I got it as part of my Steam Download (it said I did).

Thank you, Bioware. I thought there is NO WAY anyone could possibly come up with even more retarded way to register DLC than the way used in DAO. But you exceeded my expectations!

You make great games. I'm your fan since BG2. I buy Collector's Editions of your games.

But for God's sake, you know how to annoy the hell out of your fans with this *********.

Not to mention the people who steal your games aren't bugged by any of this crap.

I've got exactly the
same issue and no idea what to do...

First i had issue
described here social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/106/index/804361
. Solution helped (sort off - I had to start EACoreServer.exe
manually). And when i moved finally to registration, and I get this
problem with "product key can't be used". I tried examining
log of EACoreServer.exe and there are some errors there but log
doesn't tell what kind (and it's seems to be a bit corrupt or
something).

You don't click Extras and go into EA store, what you have to do is go options, online disable it from uploading feedback and disable auto login, then exit game, turn off anti-virus software then start game again, then click connect on the Cerberus network and type in the info you used to sign up here, that will automatically allow any DLCs you have installed. This should work however don't get your hopes up just incase.

I have a pre order version of the game and when I'm trying to redeem the code it says: "Code not recognized, please check that you've entered it correctly".

What have BioWare said they'll do about these kind of things. Any ideas how to fix this, do I get a new code or something?

So I have to contact customer services just so I can play the content I PAID FOR?!

EA, your methods are redundant, just stop policing gamers and let them be already.

Did you enter the code in caps and with the "-" thing. e.g.   XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX   like that all in caps.

I have no problems connecting to Cerberus, lucky me. Wanted to give you the other issue so you're forewarned - can't get the redeemable content (Collector armor, collector assault rifle, and Blood Dragon Armor from DAO) to be accessible in the game. The Collector stuff downloads from the EA/Bioware site, but can't be found anywhere in the game (esp not on Shepard's console where it's supposed to be!). The Blood Dragon armor won't transfer from DAO and the code won't redeem a 2nd time!! Not as bad as Cerberus connectivity issues, I know, but I assure you, just as frustrating!!

Okay, so my issues has gone from, random crashing after a set period of playing (5-10 minutes) which I could fix by playing in a windowed mode. However after an hour or so of game time today, that crashed too(and wish crashing, I mean i need to reboot my entire computer), so I tried playing the game again after rebooting, and it woudnt launch. The launcher would come up, I would press play, the computer starts humming up as if starting to launch the game.. Then it just stops, and the game dosnt launch.

I then swapped over from Windowed mode, to default. Then the game would seem to start up, I got a black screen, then it say "Mass Effect 2 has stopped working" all of a sudden..

What is going on here?

I got Windows 7 64 bit (Pro) installed, I got an AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ 2.81 Ghz

2 GB of RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275

Clock speed 2812

Physical Memory 1.99

VRAM 896

Driver version: 6.1.7600.16385

DirectX 10.0

Masseffect.exe version 1.00

The problems started at Omega with the crashes, after that it happend all the time until I ran window mode, now when I got to the citadel, even window mode borderless crashed. And now I cant even start the game.

I've already tried re-installing as well

I own a physical disk

P.S Is there a way to email this to tech support?

P.P.S Where is the search button?

I activated my Cerberus-Code using the ingame activation. If I click on "New Content Avaible" in the game menu, the bioware hp will open and I can download the dlc. But if I select Mass Effect 2 DLC on this website (Games --> Mass Effect 2 --> Official DLC), the website wants me to activate the cerberus network again. Of course, the code on my card does not work anymore, it tells me "already redeemed". And yes, I was logged in with my correct account. Anyone here who knows a solution or has the same problem? The famous EA-Support just sent me a standard mail about "Blood Dragon Armor" nonsens...

How many 100's of "Hacked Mechs" do Jacob and I have to kill before we can go somewhere else? Is this a bug? They just keep coming. What am I missing?

Nevermind. After finally figuring out how to do the correct keyboard/mouse combination to use "PULL" the battle ended very quickly. My bad for thinking I knew how to play ME2 because of finishing ME1 about two months ago!

The "tutorial" will not let you defeat the "Hacked Mechs" until you learn some new combat techniques.
