I'm having the exact same problems right now.

In-game, after typing in my Cerberus Network code, I get the error "Communication with the Mass Effect 2 server was interrupted or timed out. Please try again later."

Also, on social.bioware.com's code redemption page, neither the Cerberus Network code, or my Collector's Armor code work.

Whee. <_<

+1 Exact same problem here.

Same problem here. I am 2nd in queue to talk to an EA rep. Hopefully they fix it. Will report back if they do

EDIT: Request cancelled.... nice

Same problems as everyone else apparently. Neither my Cerberus code works (in game or here) or my CE armor code. I'll try emailing them tomorrow I guess...

I am having the exact same problems.  And to think, I waited a couple of weeks so they had time to work this out.

Having the same issue here as well, come on BioWare/EA you've had how long to work this out?

I have the 1688108 card; looks like they didn't solve the Collector's Edition fiasco after all.

I think it's worth noting that I also have one of those 1688108 cards. Good work on the script that automatically applies Cerberus Network membership to those who punch in their Collector Armor codes, guys! Guess what? The Collector Armor codes don't work, either.

Anyways, I figured I'd check up on this before work this morning, and damn. It's the same situation as yesterday. You'd think EA and Bioware would at least make the error message less generic if they're having problems on their end. Oh yeah, this is EA I'm talking about. The same EA I said I'd never buy a game from again... Until they f***ing bought Bioware.

You know, I definitely try to support the companies who make great games. Right now, though, I'm wondering why I didn't just grab one of the zillions of torrents out there. If extra bundled pieces of the game at retail w/DLC incentives are EA's ways of making PC versions worth buying, they need to make damn sure the product works before wasting their customer's time.

I want to support the guys at Bioware as I have been since 2002 (yeah, I jumped on board with NWN, and not BG), but EA does what EA does. It's a damn shame they bought you out. I can't remember these kinds of problems with Atari publishing.

Venting makes me feel better. <3 Bioware.

Same problem here. Just got my collector's edition. Now I'm a happy owner of the 1688108 card.

I am unable to redeem codes and I have the communication with the Mass Effect 2 server error.

Wasn't expecting something like that from Bioware. I guess it's EA's infuence.

They say "Please try again later." Could they maybe say when?

Exact same issue as all the above. Been trying both in game and on the site to activate Cerberus but neither seem to be working. Checked the EA support page, and it turns out some of the cards were printed with item codes, rather than access codes. FYI my card is also a 1688108 card.

In any case, here's hoping Bioware or EA or whoever is handling this situation gets a fix out soon.

It's also worth noting that my collector's edition armor + weapon code is working and I still can't access Cerberus, so I guess they didn't implement the "fix" that they said they would... They said that they would implement fix so that anyone who uses their CE code would get Cerberus automatically... Nice work again...

I actually got an email response from EA support. I gave them the requested info. Some people claim they never get a second email back. I'll update if I receive a response.

I hope those claims are BS, why bother responding in the first place if you're just gonna blow us off?

Anyhow, I too got a reasonably quick response and sent them the requested info.

Yea, same deal with my Cerebus card. I got back from a trip with the intention of playing this... But now I don't want to miss out on all the extra DLC and stuff that has come out since launcher...

But without Cerebus it seems a waste.

They actually fixed the cerberus network for me already.  But the collector's edition codes are still not working.

Okay everyone, I have a solution for every single one of you. Just got my Cerberus network activated.

Go here:

http://support.ea.co...01JnBfY2NmXz0*

Select PC-->Mass Effect--> Mass Effect 2 ---> Registration ---> Product Activation and then select Live Chat. You may or may not have to wait some time until a rep can help you. Then tell them your problem. Give them your Cerberus Network Code and CE code if it's not working either. They'll say that these codes are unused and they'll ask if you want them to activate them. Say yes and voila all the codes will work.

I had to wait 30 minutes before I could speak to a rep, but it was well worth it. Hope I could help...

so i just installed the game and have spent the last 2 hours trying to connect to cerberus, checking forums, ect, but have not been able to connect. i have the doomed colletors editon cerberus card with the 1688108 #. ea support is non-existent, they only say they're aware of the problem and working on a solution. i've seen nothing here that shows a work-around solution. so am i screwed and at the mercy of bioware/ea, and have to wait months for them to correct something that should have been immediately corrected after release of the game? this really sucks. i've never had this problem with any of biowares games before.

Dear BioWare,

The DOS attack minigame when activating the cerberus network you included exclusively for those of us who paid extra for the collector's edition sucks.  Please don't put anything like that in Mass Effect 3.

Love,

Whisky

Tried following GM23 steps (in various combinations) and all that gets me is a list of 2 support documents. If I go to the Register My Game link, it just registers Mass Effect. I can't find anywhere an option to do a live chat session. The link takes me to the support page and I have two sections: Hot Topics and Get answers by finding your product below (the latter is where I filled in the fields GM23 suggested). To the left I have My Stuff (various account links - one which includes Register My Games - done and no Live Chat option there), Support Links - which contain various links to support sections and only comm option is to Email them, and then EA links at bottom that take you to EA homepages. Where is this Live Chat option and why am I not seeing it? Could it be filtered somehow based on my account?

Hey SCWraith,

Try this, I didn't click the link up above either but these are the steps:

Go to support.ea.com and login with your EA account.

From there, select 'Email Us' on the left-hand column.

There will be a selection of drop down menu's. Select either Xbox360 or PC, then Mass Effect -> Mass Effect 2, then finally Registration -> Product Activation.

You should see an option to either wait for a Live agent or to simply email them your issue.

Hope that helps!

I can't confirm if talking with a rep over their Live Chat works or not, but here's how I got to it..

1. Go to support.ea.com

2. Along the left hand side of the page, click on "Email Us."

2a. If you're not logged into EA's site, it'll ask you to now.

3. In the center area of the page, fill out the information requested. Platform: PC. Game: Mass Effect (hidden field reveals itself to the immediate right - select "Mass Effect 2"). Category: Technical (hidden field #2 reveals itself to the immediate right - select "Online / Connectivity / Network")

4. Hidden buttons below everything you filled out will show up. Click on the blue "Live Chat" button on the left.

5. Wait in line, like I am now.

Just finished spending the 30 minutes in line, when the ****s at EA canceled my chat session.

Back in line one more time before I start harassing their phone lines.
