My advice, open up multiple tabs/browers all waiting in queue on their live chat area, in case something happens and it cancels on you.

I purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition through EA Store in december, downloaded it last monday and activated it through this site the same day using this URL. As you can see with the red 2 under my avatar, it is activated.

Yet now that I can get past the release date check, I am asked to activate the game, which is impossible.

1. I am asked to login to activate the game (screenshot)
2. Activation fails (screenshot) but I am correctly signed in (I have only one account, so no mistake)
3. So I am offered to enter my product key instead (screenshot)

4. I type in the key but it's not working. Window keeps on telling me something like "the product key can't be used to activate this game".

Any ideas?


I am still getting this issue. It's been over 2 weeks since release. I wait until after release to buy/play anything just to avoid these issues.

I just did the Live chat and they fixed my cerberus network. Only took about 20 min. to get through

Trying their livechat again. I keep getting to first in line and then it cancels on me.

God I love the customer service at EA.

They're beginning to make Blizzard look good in this department.

lol I guess I was just lucky, anyone who has Trend Micro internet security, that damn program blocks everything, including blocking me from logging into the Cerberus network. I disabled it and everything started working lol, that's just one more possibility.

After getting the Live Chat to finally go through, he had me give account information, then had me uninstall and reinstall the game.



Still can't play. Same ****.

I also just did EA Live Chat - took about 30 mins to get through but they fixed my Cerberus Network and gave me a new Collector code that worked.

I just did Live chat again, took about 20 minutes for the guy to figure out that my problem wasn't logging in to Cerberus. When he finally admitted he had no idea what to do, he decided to escalate my issue. I'd be willing the bet the 50 dollars I paid for the game that it takes at least a week to get any response.



EA has officially made Blizzard customer service look good.

I wrote the following on another topic, gonna tell my story here, I really hope my cerberus didn't just randomly stop working for some reason that i can't change, hopefully its just that some server somewhere is down.



Hey I just started having this problem too. I think it has to be their servers are down or something serious. I bought the collector edition, retail from gamestop. I redeemed all the codes i had (cerberus network, collector wep and armor, and blood dragon armor) without problems.



I have played a considerable amount of mass effect 2 and had and used the collector armor, weapon, blood dragon armor AND the (i think) new pack for the cerberus network which is the new shotgun and cerberus armor. When I loaded mass effect up this morning, it said it was unable to connect to the cerberus network, which means it was unable to recognize that i actually deserve the dlc that i have, stating that the connection was either interrupted, or the server is down. I can't load any of my save games cuz they all feature that dlc (keep in mind this was working perfectly fine just last night). When i try to re-log in, it gives me the same answer that it cannot connect to the server, it then asks me to put in the cerberus code i redeemed, and i do, correctly, to which it responds once more with the connection was interrupted or server is down.







So I think the server is down, least I hope so...was just about to start a new vanguard.

Lemme repeat that I have already enjoyed like 3 weeks of playing and beating mass effect 2 with all dlc working the way it should, this morning it stopped working.

I'm in the dark, someone tell me why the hell this is ****ing happening. And furthermore where the **** is this live chat thing you all mention, for the life of me i can't find anything of the sort on ea's site. I'm ready to kill someone.

I purchased a CE from Best Buy last night. Both my Cerberus and Collector armor codes do not work. I have the 1688108 card as well. I saw where several have had success with Live Chat on EA's support forums. Unfortunately, as of this morning, the "Live Chat" option has disappeared. Which is frustrating because I was in the queue at 2AM this morning, waited nearly 20 minutes, and got down to 0 in the queue only to have the Live Chat disconnect with a message saying Live Chat was not available. This has put a small stain on a pretty awesome game. I hope they work out a solution soon.

***UPDATE*** Live Chat worked perfectly. Representative was excellent and actually added some new content to my account for the trouble.

They can't seem to fix my collector's code problem. They say it is unused, but the site will not recognize it.

I have tried the live chat several times, never get a person, just disconnects.  My email rep was disappeared without fixing my CE problem.

I'm having the same problem all my codes by the Promo codes are going through, email support says the codes are fine, I want to do live chat now, but i dunno where to find it, anyone can point me in the right direction?

I had trouble finding it as well!
I eventually found it at www.ea.com, login and click Customer Support (at the bottom of the webpage)
Then click on "Email Us" under Support Links and select whatever you need help with (I chose Registration->Prod Activation since I couldn't find anything else close to this topic) and a blue button should appear to open a chat.

For the record using the live chat options to speak to EA is a relatively painless way to get your CE issue resolved as long as you've got about ~20 minutes of time. The gent I chatted with was pleasant and promptly got me into the Cerebus network, plus issued a new key for the collector's armor.

For the record, I have been disconnected 7 times.  I got through one time.  The rep could not fix my CE problems despite what everyone here is saying.  I told him that other people here claimed that a rep helped them.  He then stated it would have to be fixed by elevated email support, he could not do it.

Of course, now they are not responding to the "email request."

So it has now been 48 hours, and my problem has not been fixed.  And I have wasted hours trying chat support.  I guess I am suppose to just keep waiting until they respond to email.

It took me three attempts... total of about 1hr of waiting. I just kept playing the game in window mode while keeping the queue window open in view. At least the help only took about 5mins tho~

edit: be prepared to alt-tab when it opens tho..lol

Same with me, cant get either of me CE codes to work. Keep getting a timeout error in game and a "Unable to redeem code.
