Has anyone come across Sheppard walking in the air? I have had this problem a lot of times. If I take sheppard too near a structure it is possible that he will seem to walk in the air, and it is not possible to get him to down to continue the game. The only way to continue is to restart from a save.
I am upto date with all patches and graphics drivers from ATI and my machine is over spec for the game.
Can anyone help????
Thanks

I, like others here, followed the instructions on my Cerberus Card and after I installed the game [but had not started it yet] - I used my "C" CODE and activated it via their Online Account....initially it OPENED all of the downloadable material, this, I downloaded one of them; then did something else, came back to download the rest and NOW I do NOT have access to and DLC's w/o paying for them??? IF I fell in my activiation code and try again - it naturally tells me that that number has already been redeemed.
IF I then go to "in game" START - - - the "C" Computer is NOT available to me either.....I wish I had known that I could have redeemed this Code in game instead of screwing up their computers [I guess} and using the card on their web site..........WHAT the "H" is going on???

OK - a [+}: I registered my copy of the game and THEN under Registered Promos.....I was able to download 5 DLCs and I have checked and they are truly in a DLC Folder in my Game File. BUT I still have a {-} I bring to you to hopefully solve: When I start the game and get to the screen where there is the 2 Computers - the Screen of the Right, Cerebrus Puter, is blank, a Message tells me that those 5 DLCs are available BUT I need to "Log into the Cerebrus Network with the account used to purchase the DLC" PLEASE someone - explain to me WHAT they are talking about here........I "purchased" the downloads with the CODE on the C. Card that came with my game......I opened an account on this site that we are presently using........As you must know, entering the REDEEM Code from the card does NOT work - - - just tells you it is no longer any good.
2] In the instructions on Official Site concerning PC Cerberus activation it says to open account at their site, I did, Redeem Cde, I did, download the goodies, I did, start game and log in.......THIS I CAN"T Do!!!!!
Sure seems like they could have made this lousy process a "H" of alot simpiler than it appears to me to be.....and this time I don't think it's just me - seems like thousands have been CONFUSED by what should have been an EASY, BREEZY setup!

You MUST use the same account ( email and password - password on the EA account ) to log in the CERBERUS NETWORK in the game.
1. You have an account if you bought DLC.
2. Register your game to that account.
3. Start the game and log in the Cerberus Network (the same account) - it makes the DLC avalible in the game.

So - HOW do I Log into the Network..........??????
i DIDN'T know any better at the time and after I installed the game BUT before I actually started the game - I then went to this site and dnlded the Patch and Redeemed my Code HERE......I think this too has SCREWED the Moose. I wish I'd known I should have started the game and redeemed the Code at that 1st Screen with the C. Computer.
To - tell you the truth I think that I am SCREWED - because the other day when I installed the game and tried to set all of this up, patch, FREE DLC etc......I initially, of course filled in a e-mail address and password, OK, and that OPENED UP all of those DLCs to me, I downloaded one and went back to get another and their "puter mal-functioned and over and over again it told me that I had the WRONG Password, but I had written it down and KNEW I was entering the right one.....BUT since it would not accept it, I took their option, to change the passowrd, I did and I was back in and running, and here I sit though NOT able to use the downloads etc.....BUMMER!!!!!!
I wish you coulg call Tech Support like in the olden days and get somone to straighten something like this out for you.
THANKS but I think I have bite the bullet and play the game w/o these add ons and now I don't trust their system enough to actually BUY them....thy'd probably take the money and run and I would not get the ordered download.

If you are having errors connecting to Cerberus Network and the EA servers because they are "timing out" please follow the guide below.
This issue is caused by false lines written in the hosts file.
In order to fix this, you need to delete some lines in the hosts file. Heres a step by step guide.
1. Go to Start Menu and open up Computer, once there, open up your hard drive. which currently has windows installed on it. (For most people, that will be C:)
2. If Windows was installed on the hard drive you selected, you will see a folder named Windows, open that up.
3. Now look for the System32 folder, open that up. Now look for the drivers folder and open that. Then at last, the etc folder. The directory should now be something like C:Windows/System32/drivers/etc
4. Inside you will see the hosts file. Open up Notepad which is located in accesories (right click and select Run as Administator if on Vista or Win7)
5. Go to File on Notebook and select Open, now go to the same place shown at No.3. Make sure you have Notepad set to look for all files, you can change this by clicking on the arrow next to Text Documents (*.txt) in the bottom right corner and making that All.
6. Once in that Directory, now you can open up the hosts file with Notepad, once you have done this you now need to delete every line in that file which has the word EA in it and also starts with 127.
7. Save the file and then quit notepad and everything else that I have told you to open in this guide.
You should now be able to use Cerberus.
Happy gaming!

Somejah i've done all this and im still not able to connect to the Cerberus Network... I've downloaded the game through the EA-Downloadcentre and I redeemed my Cerberus Code on the social.bioware.com site... once in game i get the error "unable to verify the DLC. Login to Cerberus Network." like millions of others on this thread... so once i try to login I can only choose between the Redeem Code option (which dont work, because i already redeemed it online) the Buy a new Cerberus Code option (which im not doing, because I already paid for my CE Mass Effect 2) and the Cancel option (which doesnt help either). Any other suggestions? By the way, I have the same question pending on the EA support site... I'll update if the come through with anything... Thnx in advance!

I activated my account, downloaded the bonus content, then opened up the game.
The game recognizes all the additional features, but says it is unable to authorize the content.
Then when i try to connect to the cerberus network it says i am not connected to the internet.
(I know im connected to the internet)
Whats the deal?

Try this one on its own first, then if that doesnt work, use the others.
netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=disabled
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled
netsh interface tcp set global congestionprovider=none
netsh interface tcp set global ecncapability=disabled
If or if not these commands work you will still need to revert them back to default simply by changing the e.g =disable to =default.

I got myself a copy of Mass Effect 2 not too long ago and I've got it all set up nicely. No problems. But as I'm playing the game I've noticed that it is difficult for me to use stuff. It's kind of hard to describe so I'll provide examples of what I mean.
Know that orange box that surrounds items/people/doors? When you get close enough to said objects/people/doors it turns blue meaning you can use/activate dialogue/open the object. For me the orange box does not turn blue, meaning I cannot progress through the game. At first in the beginning of the game, it wasn't really noticeable but it's gotten progressively worse. SPOILER ALERT: I'm now at the part where you meet up with Tali for the first time and have defeated the Mech robot thing that slaughtered part of her squad. There's a door you're suppose to go through now to continue on with the game but I cannot open it because of this odd bug.
I have turned down all the graphics as low as possible. I've even window'd the game to no avail. Any suggestions?
