I'm getting tired of this cerberus doo doo because I got back the same problem with the DLC er .... new team mate thingy. Back then, I couldn't log in and I had to try online help which got me in now the same bloody thing cropped up again. This time, the password is not recognized. I tried cleaning out the cache (history) because that got me through initially, now it's not working. I tried logging in here with the same password, at the EA store, I got through but the game is stubborn. BW, are you hearing this?!! I hate this cerberus stupid signing in for DLCs.

god dammit. I have the game (yes I bought it ) but when I'm about to activate cerberus it just says that I've entered an invalid code.

I have also acivated a code that I got for pre ordering the game, that code gave me the oppertunity to download a apecial type of armor or something.

anyone else have this problem?

Hi. I'm struggling to access the DLC.

I have activitated the cerberus network in-game and the Ceberus (right-hand) computer is open at the main menu when the game loads. I can click through the dlc packs as "news items" but cannot work out how to actually download them.

Hope somebody can help!

please.. i am having timed out issues.. and I searching high and low for a fix for this.. found something that somejah wrote.. but I cannot find the host files.. can anyone tell me under system32/drivers the exact name of the host files?

It's Hosts, with the trailing "S", and the Windows Search can find all of them for you (there are also backups, which have numeric suffixes).

I'm having the same issue as this guy.  I activated the cerberus network and it opened the laptop but it never downloaded any of the DLC.  If I go to my bioware folder there is no DLC folder at all.  When I go to available content in the store it lists Cerberus Network as available for purchase when I should already have it.  When I try to enter the promo code on the website it says the code is already used.

I redeemed my code from one PC to download and tranfer the files to another PC which is my gaming one which couldn't go online at the time. Now for some reason the game won't install my new content. I would appreciate any help.

The gaming pc needs to be online and you must be signed into the same account you used to redeem the code.

Are you using the same account? You need to use the same account for it to work.

"Communication with Mass Effect 2 server was interrupted or has timed out." when trying to redeem my Cerberus key (I redeemed it on the site aswell, and I can see it under my promoes).

But somehow it wont connect to Cerberus (and Yes, I redeemed it under my account).

Try this:

1. Go to Start Menu and open up Computer, once there, open up your hard drive. which currently has windows installed on it. (For most people, that will be C:)

2. If Windows was installed on the hard drive you selected, you will see a folder named Windows, open that up.

3. Now look for the System32 folder, open that up. Now look for the drivers folder and open that. Then at last, the etc folder. The directory should now be something like C:Windows/System32/drivers/etc

4. Inside you will see the hosts file. Open up Notepad which is located in accesories (right click and select Run as Administator if on Vista or Win7)

5. Go to File on Notebook and select Open, now go to the same place shown at No.3. Make sure you have Notepad set to look for all files, you can change this by clicking on the arrow next to Text Documents (*.txt) in the bottom right corner and making that All.

6. Once in that Directory, now you can open up the hosts file with Notepad, once you have done this you now need to delete every line in that file which has the word EA in it and also starts with 127.

7. Save the file and then quit notepad and everything else that I have told you to open in this guide.

You should now be able to use Cerberus.

everything so far with my d2d game except for the fact that i can't save. It looks as if it's saving yet when i go to load, nothing is there. I looked for the save folder in users/user/bioware etc. and there was no Mass Effect folder..(tho there is my Dragon Age folder) so, i created one..tho...hasn't done me any good. I searched my system for ANY .pcsav files (as a thread lead me to believe) and haven't found any. Any help would be appreciated.

fixed the problem....needed to run as administrator to actually save...

netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled

netsh interface tcp set global congestionprovider=none



If or if not these commands work you will still need to revert them back to default simply by changing the e.g =disable to =default.

Running Windows7 and have no luck with this, editing the hosts file (just a generic file) or trying to directly add the ports in the firewall incoming/outgoing.  (have also tried troubleshooting with firewall off).  Any other ideas as am about to uninstall and reload?

Hey can some one help me? I had activated my Cerberus Network card and it worked fine at first but now I hadn't played the game for some time (a few monts) and when I turn it on the right computer dosn't turn on. Insted it askes me to log in to my account and when I do it tells me to incert my activation cade but when I do it tells me it's alredy in use.

Note that I got mine from preordering and that I redgistered it through the game. I am using the PC version of the game. I have tried to find custimor support but I can't find any indication as to how on this site.

Pleas respond. Best if you could PM me about it.
