I have a cerebus network code but I haven't played Mass Effect 2 in a few months. Now I can't get it to work again.

i posted this query in general section previously and was told to "reinstall" ,  which i haven't so here's my issue and i may ramble a bit but hopefully it makes sense.

all DLC paid for installed and played thru twice with full retail PC version of game months ago  all perfectly ok, all DLC shows up in my content under the bioware/social/ea  user/password  id   etc etc i used originally, the
cerberus network thing works fine.

now 7 weeks later, its early July
 
I paid for Overlord ( but not yet dowloaded it ) it shows up in my DLC section within bio/social/ea,  but  in error i used a different user name ( didn't know at time ) , anyway  so loaded up main game ( remember Overlord not yet actually downloaded)  and message says im not connected to Cerberus and all my previous DLC is not recognised, but i can play previous save games that don't include any DLC.

I have tried logging in under both user names and starting up game but same message, so is there an issue if i've got 2 usernames ?  or does anyone have some advice/opinions, should i just go ahead and actually instal the Overlord DLC to see if that helps , but if i do then i still won't have any of game saves from other DLC ? and i just want to be able to play from my last save game with all achievements stats and stuff still included

You have a SITE problem rather than a GAME problem, and there is a SITE Help forum, but for the most part, it is also Gamer to Gamer oriented, just with very slightly higher odds of a real Bioware oversight person paying attention there.

Yes I'm having trouble with my activation card that came with my copy of Mass Effect 2. I redeemed my keycode via this site, and then started my game but it is asking me for the keycode again. Since I redeemed it on here, it wont accept it through the game because it says the keycode has already been used?

What about when I try to start the game I receive error "Failed to authenticate the disc. Please insert the correct disc and try again."? I saw the link above however nothing that directly reflects this particular error?

OK i have read every thing i could find and am still lost. Activated Cerebus network fine from within game. I am logged in and computer on right shows up and is open to all the ads. I do not see anywhere to get my dlc content. I would like to buy it all, but when I cannot even get what is suppose to come with game I do not trust giving more money to EA. Just to be sure i went out to site and tired to activate again but nope, already redeemed so in game use must have worked but no DLC and no place to get it.

I'm using ME2 for a PC can I use Microsoft points to purchase upgrades for ME2 on this PC?



If I buy a card that advertises, Halo on the card is that just an advertisement. Could it restrict me to using those Microsoft points only for Xbox Live, and only for Halo?



What I’m hoping to do is use those points to purchase upgrades for ME2.

I was able to log in to the network but when I went to play the game again it said I had to register but when I typed in the network key it said that this code is already in use so now I can't get any benifits

Seriously, how is this issue still here? I had to reinstall the game through Steam a couple days back, and this Cerberus "already in use" key problem is still here...after all these months?



I must've looked through the forums and Google for about an hour, trying to find a clear solution. Haven't found anything worthwhile. Surely there's a contact number and email we can use, to personally solve this problem with someone in power to fix it? I want to finally play this game.

ive got a problem every time i log onto ME 2 it says my account is invalid but when i load dragon age its fine any 1 have any ideas to the problem

"For some stupid reason, you cannot log into Cerberus if your [EA] password contains anything other than letters and numbers. ... In fact, please add this to a FAQ or something. No one told me that you can't log into Mass Effect 2 Cerberus if certain characters are in your EA Account password." ~~ Quoting myself.



So, yeah, if your password uses special characters you'll have to change it. I'm posting this here just incase other people are having the same problem that I was.

Hello,

I just downloaded ME2. I got some Cerberus content with the download. I registered my game and extras through the internet. When I start the game I get the starting splash screen. I press PLAY then I'm asked if I want to get Cerberus content (or words to that effect).

The game hangs up with a "Please wait ..." prompt whether I want to connect to Cerberus or cancel.

Any help you guys could give me would be super appreciated.

I've just registered, authenticated and redeemed my digital collector's code for the DLC for ME2, as well as several other DLCs for ME2. I've downloaded and installed the DLCs but when I start the game, an error message says that they are Unable to authorise the listed DLC, and I needed to log into the Cerberus Network with the account used to buy the game.



My game is bought and connected to my Steam Account, using the exact same email address as this account used to buy and download the DLCs. How do I go about authorising my purchases?

Mmm :/ so i downloaded mass effect 2 and did the whole cerberus network code thing but i'm seeing none of the thing the cerberus network is supposed to give you.

am registered, and have downloaded and installed the DLC (promotional stuff that came with ME2 pc game).

have tried to access cerberus network through the game, and it says it times out, try again later.

I've enabled the ports it says I must, but still no dice.

help me EA/bioware/forum...you're my only hope

I have a problem when I try to be registered in a Cerberus's network. I enter my password twice. In after the first, game exit to the menu. After the second, game say that "This is password use"

P.S. I know English language very bad.

hey guys...is there some kind of patch forthcoming to fix the DLC problem? I've been trawling other forums for answers, and there aren't any...just lots of questions and moans.



don't get me wrong...I love ME 2...its one of the finest games I've played. I'd just like to be able to play the extra content I've paid for (and by the looks of things, this has been a prevalent problem for months). I've resisted going the black market route which does work (I'm told), but if y'all can't supply an answer you'll leave me little choice.

For those who are attempting to launch the game receive the following
message "Unable to Authorize the Listed DLC. Please log into the Cerebus
Network with the account used to purchase the DLC.".

I have a Polish version of the game and I had a similar problem. Polish helpdesk EA could not help me.

A solution that works for me:

• Close your Internet connection
• Start the game
• Alt + tab to exit to the desktop
• Start-up Internet connection
• Alt + tab again and switch to the game screen
• Click "Connect to Cerberus"
• Wait a moment until you see the login screen to your EA account
• Provide data and after a while it should connect properly, and add-ons will be certified

In the settings, turn off the option to automatically connect to the EA account after launch. Unfortunately, the data must be used each time manually.

The solution is not convenient, but it works for me. I hope this helps someone.
