I'm still having the same problem. Cerebus doesn't log in, still prompts for the code and the code doesn't redeem.

did you try try opening up the game, going intot he options, turning off auto-login. then restart the game, and the login prompt should come up at you. enter your bw social credentials in there

Just tried this.  After turning off auto-login and restarting the game, I went to "connect" on the right side of the menu.  I logged into my Bioware/EA Online account, but was then prompted to connect to the Cerberus network, either by redeeming my code (still "already in use") or purchasing a new code.

I still can't get the leave planet key to work, no matter what I bind it to, or how long I hold it, or what planet its on. I can't leave any planet that doesn't take you back to the normandy automatically or by means of a standard use key dialog, does anyone know if there's a fix for this? It seems any thread I make regarding this gets buried :( Can't play the game any farther really until I fix this somehow, ya.

I also have the PC CE which I bought from Amazon - My Cerberus card has the "1688108" code on it.  I tried to logon to the Cerberus Network in-game - after logging onto my account in-game.  It told me that my code was already redeemed.

I then tried to redeem my code through the bioware social network (logged into my account) and it still says that the code was already redeemed.

Can someone please help?  I find this situation quite fustrating.

Joe

Just a tip to you guys havnig the "already redeemed" problem:

Go to the menu on the left of this page, the one that says "What's New", "Profile", "My Content", etc. Go to Profile, then Your Registered Game Promotions. See if you see the various DLC's there available for download. That's not going to get you past the in-game screen, but it'll at least tell you if your promos were redeemed attached to your account, and you can at least download them.

Which thread here, if any, is the official reporting thread for this problem? Do we need to report it or is it being worked on behind the scenes? So far I have seen at least three threads for this issue.

For the record, I have it too. PC Version. Collector's edition. Reports Cerberus Network key is already in use.

Oh, and done all the checks on the entitlement page. Nothing listed there for Cerberus Network items. Also re-logged in to my EA account in game.

And I apologize for trying to redeem the code multiple times after it failed the first time.

Update: Looks like it is fixed now. Noticed it right after I redeemed my code for the collector's edition stuff and went to the entitlements page to confirm it. Not sure if there is a connection there, but throwing it out just in case.

Thanks to whoever took care of that.

FAIL to EA and Bioware for requiring mulitple logins across multiple accounts to get DLC. So now my Dragon Age Bioware login is the same as my Mass Effect 2 login which isn't the same as the EA login which was my Sims 3 login but if I login to the wrong account/website etc, then depending on which game I'm trying to play, some or all of the DLC is not available. Idiots! And for good measure, please enable standard "TAB" functionality on the ingame Mass Effect 2 login screen (which doesn't log you in to Bioware social where you enter the Cerebrus code [or is that in-game or both depending on which official source] but to EA, which is sort of the same, but not really as they're different), maybe). Why make it so difficult?

Not all of them are, for the record. I have one of those codes (CE Edition) and I eventually got it to work, after encountering the same problem that started this thread.

For those having this problem, feel better... I'm also having the "Game freezes on first loading screen" error that makes you unable to play at all :( And we've had only two Bioware responses... the first to lock the thread thinking it was a duplicate of this one, which it wasn't... and then another one saying it was a single core processor problem, which it definitely isn't since we've had *many* duo and quad processor system users reporting the same problem. So... trust me, your problem (which only affects DLC) has gotten a lot more attention than our problem which makes you unable to play at all :(

for all folks who have their 1688108 cards. Please open up the game and login using the same ea online account as the one they used on bioare social. you should be automatically entitled to cerberus now, even though your card has already redeemed.

technically we gave you cerberus network linked to your account, so forget about the code alltogether

Still no success, it is still prompting to enter the code and the code still reports in use.

Still hapenning for me as well, 9:03 PM PST

Tried entering it in any permutation, upper and lower case, with or without dashes, on the social.bioware.com site and in-game, and nothing seems to work.  I don't know if this would have made any difference, but I registered the game on social.bioware.com before I attempted to redeem my code.

Any main-page update as to the status would probably be a good idea.  Something along the lines of "We are aware of the problems concerning the Cerberus Network activation and are working to find a solution as quickly as possible.  These errors can include "Code already in use" and Login timeouts. Thank you for your patience."

Instead we have to crawl through the forums (which document many other issues, which thankfully I do not have to deal with), and attempt to find the one Dev/Community Manager who will actually post an update.  Although this update usualy consists of "It should be working now.  Try again."

When I come home from a long day of breaking video games, I'd like to play one that works.  Things happen, and I understand that, but you gotta give your userbase some sort of update as to what's happening other than "It'll be fixed later/It should be fixed"

I guess I'm just venting my frustrations now, as the game is playable without access to the Cerberus Network.  So far it's been good, I just hope that tomorrow everything is working like it should.

Thanks

Same problem here with the 1688108 Cerberus card code from a PC collector's edition. "Code already in use". I registered my CDKEY online first before attempting to register the Cerberus code so maybe that did something. Either way, my Cerberus code is non-functional or ganked. Please provide a clear solution soon EA.

Does anyone know how to get the second disc to install , it installs the first disk fine then asks for the second disk , when second disk is put in it reads for a second then doesn't do anything more and there is a little Vista box that says retry or cancel .This sucks.

I thought Cerberus card worked, so I clicked Confirm because it said Free and it charged me 1200 points. Plus I can't get my Terminus Armor to show up on my 360 no matter what I do and for some reason every time I try to Sync my gamertag to EA it says this "Sorry, that Xbox LIVE Gamertag has already been taken. Please try another one." I'm giving up

I had the exact same issue and I also registered my CDKEY prior to the Cerberus activation code. Like yourself, my Cerberus code failed everytime I tried. However, upon booting up Mass Effect 2 I was prompted to login to my EA account. At which point I did and Cerberus became available. I don't know if Bioware did something or not, but it could be possible that registration of your CDKEY also causes the redemption of your Cerberus code. Try logging into your EA account in-game and see if you gain access to Cerberus. Doing this also added it to my website profile.

The other issue I had (for those who it might help) was getting Mass Effect 2 to run after install. Every attempt ended with Windows 7 telling me the program stopped working. I uninstalled ME2, then installed the DirectX option the ME2 setup window offers, then reinstalled the game. That seemed to do the trick for me. Whether DirectX had a role or if it was just a crappy install, I don't know. And I would try reinstalling it multiple times if the second attempt doesn't work.

Hope this was helpful to someone. If not, good luck.

Mine says, Can't authorize DLC. Have to login with account used to purchase. (which I did)

If I'm online and start the game, that does not show up. If I'm offline it does show up.

I got it through the Cerberus Network.
