First off, I think it is completely unfair that we cannot romance Mother Giselle -- or any of the older characters in general.

 

Reasons being..........

 

1. Not everyone goes straight for the stereotypical "attractive and young". Some of us have um, mature tastes. You know, like mature cheese tastes better and all that...

 

2. Some of the fans/players of DA could belong in the older generations, so may feel uncomfortable and awkward romancing somebody who is a lot younger.

 

I find it bigoted, offensive and stereotypical not to include an older romance option.

 

You ripped us off with Wynne, first off.

 

Secondly, you ripped us off with Leandra Amell. (Look, I know it's incest and all but isn't that okay among nobles?)

 

And thirdly you ripped us off with Mother Giselle. Please give us a DLC.

 

In this DLC I expect to be able to engage in BDSM, and to be the dominant. She will be the sub.

Agree, older women need some loving too. Since bioware wouldn't let me romance divine Justinia by killing her, I want Mother Giselle (while we are at it, make Flemeth romancable too).

Love how they tried to make her sexy... In Origins she was just some old nutty hag. Now she's got a nice rack and all. ;)

I pined for one with Miranda.. couldn't have her, so tried Samara/Morinth (separate PTs) still nothing.

 

Then I was stuck with Chambers dancing around in undies like an idiot.

Well, you could "romance" Morinth. It just didn't end as you expected... or well, err... it didn't end well... or... er... anyway,it didn't end in the conventional sense.

That said, serious kudos to Bioware for actually implementing that stuff with Morinth. I honestly thought that was a great atmospheric addition, even if many players probably didn't even get to see it.

She rejected me, can't remember the details though but all I can recall is that she rejected me the biatch.

 

Alright, doing a replay of the ME trilogy soon so I must investigate this. ;)

(Going further and further off-topic, but just this: 1- have fun. All told, ME1-3 still is the best RPG I've ever played. Enjoy :) 2- IIRC, you can conclude the romance only post-game, i.e. after the suicide mission. Just so you know.)

Yeah... ME is probably my favourite. There aren't many games out there that can send chills down my spine (not even DA does that). My mind was literally blown when I completed ME1, but it left me feeling hollow and depressed inside cause there was nothing left. :(

 

Having said that, after playing a ME game I find it extremely hard to focus on any other games and it's frustrating!!

 

But yes, this is off-topic. My bad. I'm a bit scattered like that.

 

*clears throat*. Back to older LIs... can't just focus on the old birds, you know. What about older men? Though, I'd say Blackwall comes pretty close....

Eh, how about a tragic LI with that Chantry official (forgot his name) in Haven? The inquisitor would have to be fast, but eh... *coughs uncomfortably* maybe better not go there... *orders bleach*

PS/Edit: Oh I'd give so much to be able to play the ME trilogy again for the first time! The amazement, the wonder, the fascination...

I wish I had dementia for that reason specifically. Nothing will ever compare to that first PT of ME... the wait until ME2, though it differed from the original, didn't stop me from being glued in front of my TV for hours on end, with next to no sleep... another long wait until ME3. ME3 gets a lot of trash talk but it's my personal fave out of the series.

Bioware is being racist to the Darkspawn! No darkspawn (I thought they were gaining their intelligence... you know the big thing about them speaking in perfect English back in Awakening) companion, and no broodmother romance!!
