This is ridiculous, I have never experienced such poor customer service or such poor design of something that has been a standard on xbox live for years now. I hope Bioware realizes how bad this makes them look, I know EA could probably care less.

i love how there is no official big button at the top of the menus that says, "tech support" wtf do i gotta search the forums till i find the official tech support for ea?

For all of this hassle BioWare/EA should simply put the Terminus items and Blood Dragon armor dlc for free download up on the XBOX Live Marketplace for the grief this is giving gamers (and whatever else zero day dlc was available). This way gamers frustrations are alleviated and BioWare can focus on fixing the issues with the Cerberus Network and ME1 save import in the mean time. It's not a perfect solution -- that is, it won't make them money off those gamers who didn't pre-order -- but at least it will keep the core loyal gamers happy and not smashing their consoles in anger.

They still avoided telling the biggest majority of gamers whether or not we have officially wasted our code due to the email mishap. Am I just out of luck, or will you be finding a way to correct the error? I don't know why, but I now feel like an idiot for reserving and coming to a Gamestop at midnight for the game. Had I known this kinda stuff would happen, I would have waited until it came in used.

Basically I have the same issue everyone else is having. Thank you EA for once again misleading me.
IT's obvious the card that came with the gamestop peorder was just trying to trick me into signing up for this website. Which I would never do otherwise. So congrats, EA, I'm on your pathetic social website, and all I'm doing is complaining about EA. <3

If I were you guys I would all email this story to the consumerist and let them know your problems. If enough people email maybe they will post a story about how much EA and Bioware dropped the ball on this.

I'm sure nearly everyone having a problem is a result of EA moving from your classic screen name to a new email screen name format. Only it will let you create a new account on the bioware website with the same email you used on the classic EA account to recover passwords etc. where your gamertag is previously linked.

CONGRATULATIONS!:devil: You have a new EA account and can't re-link your gamertag and can't recover your old EA account linked to that gamertag because you unknowingly put your email address in the new EA email account format on Bioware's site.
You are FUBAR like me until they decide to fix it (((((if they fix it at all)))))

I waited for 45 minutes to chat with someone with the online chat, after the long wait the chat automatically closed when I was 7th in line.

I love Mass Effect and I love the nice Collectors' weapons I got with my 70 dollar game. I'd really like them if I had any clue as to why I don't have them in my game. I didn't use a different email because I instantly got my Blood Dragon Armor. I'm playing as a soldier on the first time so I'd like to get the weapons sooner than later but by the looks of this, that may not be possible.

Umm just saying i went on the ea tech site and the guy linked my Ea acc with my xbox then i was able to get the stuff so like if you want to wait like 30-40mins on the tech site they help you out.

Okay. I know that this wouldn't be resolved quickly but this is getting ridiculous. I've been trying to get the Cerberus Network and Terminus gear set activated since launch at midnight and have had no success whatsoever. There was no instruction on any of the promo code cards anywhere that said I needed to have my xboxlive gamertag linked with my ea account so i created a new one and put my codes on there which are not linked to my gamertag and I'm not going to buy more Microsoft points to download everything when it was not my fault.



So I've tried to resolve this via contact with Bioware over the forums, I've tried emailing EA a couple of times to no avail( I emailed about Cerberus and Terminus codes and got some dumb thing about the Blood Dragon armor of which I never mentioned), I went on live chat 4 times to what for 40 minutes each time only to say chat was cancelled, and now I called the technical support number and have waited for over an hour.



In conclusion please can somewhere from Bioware or EA please get into contact with me to help me or give me a number or email or something so i can actually get into contact to fix this. This fiasco has thoroughly ruined my excitement for Mass Effect 2 and this customer service/ support has been awful (minus the Bioware guys on the forum making an effort to help)

I had the same problem, and I've managed to fix it. It's really quite simple. Figure out what EA account is tied to your XBox Live email/Gamertag. Log in to the your EA account that has the codes redeemed, then go to "My Account" and scroll down to "Add Persona". DON'T try to add a Gamertag, instead, choose "EA account" or whatever (top radio button). put in the account name of your other EA account (the one tied to your gamertag) and it will merge them.

Now my NEW account (with the codes) is the same as my OLD account (With my Gamertag, which I didn't know I had), and I have free loot. Maybe you guys should stop complaining and actually try to solve the problem on your own. I know it's still EA's fault but come on, don't sit around being helpless and crying about **** that you very well might (in this case CAN) fix on your own.

Bonus: I didn't have to sit on hold for hours with tech support or anything either, hope your necks haven't locked up entirely! :lol:

Oh then all i can say is wait it took me like an hour till i stop getting kicked all you have to do bro is have patience and wait I know its a pain but that's all we can do but once you get in the chat they link your ea acc with your gamer tag and then your set. But yeah all you can do is wait and hope you don't get kicked :(

You know what you can do just go to game stop and say that your disc wont play then they will give you a new copy of the game with the new Cerberus and then you can enter that code into your xbox and about the Armour that idk what you can do but one of my friends said that the game stop people would prob just give you the Armour codes after the 42 hour period that people have to pick up the game so if you want you can just do that :P if the ea linking acc don't work

so i have done exactly as you say to redeem my terminus gear twice. chanding my emails on live and website the second time to be sure of accuracy. so now i have not only wasted one redeem code but, two. the gamestop guys think im some sort of cheapskate tryin to get free codes. i dont even shop at gamestop what a ****ing waste. im furious. also i ive tryd contacting ea support but that waas a waste of time too. same with xbox support. who the **** knows whats going on with mass effect 2 and the terminus gear. ???????????????????????

Why not try to go to gamestop and get a new one then your all set x.x. Just say that the game didn't work and they just give you a new one then you can have the codes o.o
