So, does the email address you use for your xbox live acct need to match the email from ea acct? I have my 360 GT linked to my ea acct, but the email address on my EA acct is different (older)

Someone somewhere made a HUGE mistake when they didn't use the xbox live gamertag/ account, the Starting point and go from there to affix all this other stuff.



For me when I started Dragon Age the game asks me to log in to EA servers if I remember correctly, I'm already logged onto my gamertag ok. So there should have been a LINKING done for me at this point right here.

So I try to log in and they say "sorry that email is already taken" but hey hello it's me I'm on the gamertag right now! So I use a secondary email address that isn't the one on my console at least I get the Blood armor you know this way. But Hey that isn't the email address of my gamertag so hmm now my game purchases are linked to a email that isn't linked to my gamertag...



Bioware and EA, I have played Kotor 1 and 2 , Jade Empire, Dragon Age, Need for Speeds, Madden, etc etc



But, MS and XBOX Live are the only ones that have the intelligence it seems to Link accounts or make it simple for the rest of us dummies.



EA, Bioware y'all should have maybe let MS handle the linking of gamertags and game content and game ownership.



Sad so sad what a mess, people change their email addresses, switch ISP providers etc. Change gamertags, but the one constant here is their XBOX live ACCOUNT no?



I log onto this profile try to link my gamertag and it tells me my gamertag is already taken? LOL

Thats under persona what a mess. If I had bought ME2 I would really be upset at this time.



What will I do when TOR comes out? Maybe this will be straightened out by then?

I tried online chat last night and got kicked out at position #2.  I stayed on hold for an 1 and 45 minutes but got through to someone on the phone.  He immediately got my Cerebreus Network working but then took some time before he got my Terminus Armor back too.  Anyway, it was a big pain but it looks like they'll fix things on the phone.

Wow, you guys are completely helpless! You can't even try to problem-solve on your own! Maybe EA shouldn't let you have the promo stuff. It's also amusing that it's down to like 3 people ****ing now.

There's really nothing you can do on-line to fix your account and I haven't heard of anyone getting helped on the chat. You really have to bite the bullet and call EA if you want a fix done.

I have been more resourceful into finding ways to make this work when there should not have even happened in the first place. It's great you gt it to work for you, but I tried your method as well as numerous other methods and it does not work! So After pouring many hours into fixing a problem that shouldn't have occurred excuse me for being a little upset with EA!

Reading all this now I'm getting nervous. I have DOA with Armor for ME2. I have not had a chance to load up ME2 yet and was looking to see if I needed to do this goofy computer registration first before I do it with my 360.



Now I think I may just wait and see.



There been a solution for the ME1 importing yet?
