Good luck been on hold for 45 min, but from everyone else's experience i guess it takes over an hour of waiting plus im on my fourth time trying chat. Hopefully one will work.

I am trying to upload the collectors armor onto my mass effect account but whenever i try to link my gamertag it tells me that it's already taken and i have no other account. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas to help me out?

i figured out mine for x-box 360.

ive been useing the link like the card says and it would just tell me to log in, put in code and hit ok, then it would jump back to the login screen and say i needed to log in.

5 minutes a i logged into my account NOT USING THE LINK and made sure i could see all my profile infromation, then i scrolled over the profile tab and clicked redeem promo code and intered the code and it worked just fine.

so i suggest not using the like and go throught your account. and my email was correct so i know that wasnt the issue. hope this helps someone ;p and off to use my new gear!

How do you see if your gamertag and EA account are one and the same.

Sign into EA on your profile scroll down to "persona"


Problem I have multiple accounts here at Bioware or did have.
I didn't want to (forgotten passwords / usernames)


Multiple profiles at EA
(ok I can't use my own gamertag as a username?)
had to add a "1" to the end of it to do so


But just the one gamertag.
which never has been altered or changed

Some of this is self inflicted but, IF they woulda just asked me for my gamertag...  wait yes they did I think, but said it was in use lol.

I'm still having problems, and I don't have the time to be on hold for a few hours.



When I try to sign in on the Xbox, it says "the account is invalid".



When I try and add my gamertag to my EA profile, I get the "name is already in use message".



Is there a fix for this? It's not on the front page and I'm not going to go digging through pages of posts. Thanks.

I activated the cerberus code the night i got the game but when I got on the next day to play it said I needed to dl the network again. when i tried the code it said that it was already in use. i refuse to pay 1200 microsoft points for something I had. i emailed ea and it said i'd get a response within 24 hours but have I? No. :'(

im having trouble as well as everybody else still with the collectors, terminus gear dlc. while reading I realised how pissed I was at ea so I went to customer support.

typed in "why does ea f&*%ing suck?"





it came back with

and I quote

i totally agree...accept i entered the wrong email adress and now i cant change it or add another persona ...so im gettin ripped off of me pre order? this would have been so much easier if bioware released its content via a card that u rip off the back and imput the card into the marketplace. thus being able to retrieve the gear thru xbox live and not through the computer...this is rediculous. Gears of war 2 did it...why cant bioware?

That is my one problem too.. I cant link my gamertag to my ea account, It says its "already in use".

Which is bs b/c it does not appear in persona list...

Bioware,

I understand that having EA as your publisher was a smart financial move for you. However, Ea's support and making gamers use the online method is absolutly garbage.

How can you, Bioware, who has had an outstanding service record with your products, who several people will agree, "that anything Bioware touches turns to gold" have this piece of coal you call customer service/tech support with ea?

How can you, which had awesome DLC features for Mass Effect 1, go and screw up something that was working perfectly. Why couldn't you just stay with the old system?

I will continue to purchase your games in the future as your games are very moving emotionally and makes them worth playing time and time again.

I (and several other gamers), would like you remedy this problem in a fast and expedient way.

isnt avoiding this a function of having XBL? i understand bioware and EA feels the need to have complete control over everything they have their name on, but at the cost of happy players and satisfied customers? one would think that with the garbage reputation EA has for ruining franchises they would have put effort into ease of use...im appalled

Alright, Here's what happend to me and how I was able to fix it.



I registered on EA/Biowares site with my current email and redeemed all of my codes. I was unable to link my gamertag to my new account because I already linked it to an email I don't have anymore.



It looked like I just screwed my self out of all my DLC. But there's a way to get around it!



Create a new Live account( silver is fine) and when you login use the EA account you redeemed your DLC with. You can uses DLC on any profile so just dl and then use your normal profile.



I see alot of others the same problem I did so I hope this helps.



1. Create a new gamertag

2. Link it to the ea account that has the DLC

3. Log into the new gamertag and download everything

4. Sign out of the gamertag

5. Sign into our original gamertag

6. Load up ME2 where all the DLC should be

Okay every time i launch ME2 it says that the application cannot be used until the offeical release date has been reached, and its the 27th. can anyone help me?
