This freaking sucks. I put in my code under my email and it says that email is not linked to my gt, when on my 360 it CLEARLY is. WTF is going on, and can someone help me.

Hehe, I created an account here with the same email as my XBox Gamertag only to realize that I already had it linked to an EA account with a different email. So of course I entered my codes and nothing. Apparently you can call EA's technical support to have them correctly link your account. There is also a website which I'd link to right now if I were more useful.

Okay, very unhappy for probably the first time ever with Bioware. Why? Because in order to play the game (or at least, to play using ME1 save games) it seems that you have to have an Xbox Live enabled account (which is fine)...but it has to be logged in at all times or the game forces you to restart! Now, I don't know if this is an issue for other people, but for some reason, my account is always logging out of Xbox Live - generally it rarely stays logged in for more than ten or fifteen minutes at a time. As a result, I've only gotten past the introduction once, and only just. Every other time I get logged out in the middle of the introduction and it forces a restart of the game! Why the hell is it like this? Shouldn't an initial check of the account on loading of a new/save game be enough to confirm that I'm allowed to use the game, rather than insisting on constant Xbox Live connection? If I'm not the only person having this problem, this should really be high up on the list of issues to address, because it makes the game experience seriously unpleasant - and it also means that if you don't have an internet connection, or you're somewhere with spotty coverage, you can't play the game!

(Before anyone asks, my 360 is connected to the internet by wireless, but that shouldn't be an issue - I have a PC, two laptops and an iPhone that run off the wireless as well, and my wife's PA uses her laptop here wirelessly, too, and none of those seem to lose connection all the time. On the other hand, if anyone knows if there are Xbox Live connection issues with original release 360s or original release wireless adaptors, that may help me with my problem. Though that still doesn't help anyone who doesn't have an internet connection.)

If you need to download your terminus armor or whatever, Be careful when you ask EA to link your account. If you already enabled cerberus network and they move your account, then cerberus network won't work, SO YOU STILL CAN'T DOWNLOAD ANYTHING. Now I have to wait ANOTHER 24 hours for a response to see if they can fix THIS issue.

Well, obviously since I'm posting here that means my DLC codes did not work either. I do however know what the problem is in my case.

Apparently long ago I created an EA account using the same email address that I have for my Live Windows ID (email address for Xbox in other words). I never visit my EA account, so I forgot it existed. I created another account when I learned of the Army of Two 40th Day Mask Creator with a different email address. This is the address I was using recently and used my codes on this account. I assume the link between my Gamertag and my EA / Bioware accounts are determined thorough email, since my Gamertag was referenced in both accounts already. My Game Promotions show everything that is supposed to work here, but there is no way to bridge the gap over to my Gamertag.

I too tried the Live chat only to be kicked out when I was #5 in the queue. I also emailed them the situation, and PM'd an EA forum admin two days ago... all of which has yielded no results.

This is a perfect example of why EA should have put the DLC on Xbox Live and be done with it. Stop trying to regulate the content due to piracy when it is the less tech savvy (who aren't pirating by the way) who get the shaft.

I'm not going to whine and cry about the situation... I'm not going to boycott EA or Bioware... but I do hope this situation sorts its way out. I pre-ordered the game this past Thursday at Gamestop to get the Terminus Gear and Blackstorm gun. To my surprise I also received the Cerberus Network DLC (15 bucks on Live) free. With no way of getting the special DLC and the high price tag for a DLC that I should have received just for buying the game, I do not forsee me purchasing it in the future.

Long story short (too late), I am disappointed to say the least. I love Bioware.

If you don't have time to wait on the phone go to support.ea.com and login and enter a question. Be prepared to wait at least a day for a response.

Well, for what its worth

I have a EA account. Uses the same E-mail address as my BioWare account.

Just to be safe I registered both my DAO: Collectors Ed and my ME2 Collectors Ed last night on the Bioware website. I went ahead and registered them on the EA website as well.

My Blood Dragon armor showed up. The Normandy Crash site and the Z DLC showed up.

Nothing about Terminus armor or Collector armor.

However I could not import my ME1 character. Full Disclosure: about a year ago I got a new hard drive, and I moved all my files to it. I went in and made sure that my files were all associated with my gamertag, and they were. Still could not upload.

Today I logged in to file for my Collector Armor via the Redeem code link. However while it shows my E-mail (which is affiliated with my EA Account, which is affiliated with my Gamertag) here it is not affiliated with my gamer tag. It pointedly says Xbox Gamertag: none.

I won't know until get home if it worked or not.

So current plan is to:

A) finish ME1 again, and see if that lets me import my character.

B) See if I can download Collector armor

For crying out loud!

How many bioware logins do we need?

My cerebus worked on xbox live

My collectors codes dont work in game, I redeem here but I follow leaflet instructions and the its different to what you should do?

Why cant this be simple?

I have lost my armour code now as I tr5ied to redeem it on the bioware site and now it doesnt show up in game, I have to login to bioware with my windows live account? Why dont you use a SIGN IN button like bungie do then? And various other sites as I I use my EA account to link as I followed the instructions on the leaflet and logged into bioware got confused and pout my code in and no code appeared as the leaflet said but it said it would appear in game!

My xbox GT is not listed for some reason!

This is daft....can I have a new code, and sgin with windows live acccount to get my armour not my EA account as the leaflet says?

It sounds as if your problem is the same as my own.  I have just discovered  minutes ago that as I got to the ME2 title screen the Cerberus Network loaded for me!  I am currently downloading Terminus Gear, Zaeed and Normandy Crash site DLC.  I am spreading this to give hope to those who have similar problems.  I contacted EA through the email system explaining my problem and while I haven't received an email for confirmation I do know that this problem has been fixed (at least in my case).  My advice?  Email EA instead of doing the Live Chat option.

Say what you will about EA or Bioware, but they are obviously working to fix this issue.  My gratitude may be swaying my opinion right now as I am happy that MY problem is fixed, but I'm sure it is just a matter of time for everyone else.  Chin up and good luck, guys!

I tried the find the 'persona' button on the ea support site but I keep getting redirected when I click 'My Account' the redirect doesn't have 'persona' either. I tried to do the live chat and that failed as I guess it times out if you wait. I;m in favor of them resetting all the keys so we can try again. (I figured out how to do it correctly last night for a friend... he got his armor/weps)
I'm just a little p/o'd about this whole thing... I bought the collector's edition because I loved ME1... don't make me loath BioWare over this screw up. I feel like BioWare and EA should be trying to help, not ignoring the problem until we jump up and down and scream in their faces.

Edit1: I did try the email thing on Tuesday... haven't gotten a relpy and problem still exsists. On a side note, I didn't have any problems getting my dragon blood armor.

My advice to EVERYONE redeeming codes online: If you're logged in to EA, log out. Then instead of logging in, click on the Forgot Password or Forgot Username link. The next screen will ask you if you want to search for your profile by email address or GAMERTAG. Use the Gamertag option, that way you know for sure which email address/EA account is tied to that Gamertag.

Too bad I didn't do this to begin with. Too bad EA is too stupid to tell you if the account you're using is linked or not. Shoddy web-crap. What burns me more than anything else is that this whole entire online-code-redemption system is nothing more than a marketing ruse to get you on the EA website. That's not conspiracy, thats business as usual. ****ing EA.

I know a guy who works for EA, he had to move to Baton Rouge when Tiburon moved... but next time I talk to him, I'm gonna yell at his ass so I can feel better. I know Tiburon has nothign to do w/ BioWare, but I don't care, EA is EA is EA and EA SUCKS.

Why does every EA game I've played on my 360 ask to create an account? Ao2, Bad Company, Dragon Age, and now ME2. F*** man, how many of these do I need and why do we need these accounts at all?

So now I can't get the Terminus Armor because the EA account I created this week can't be linked to my gamertag because it's in use by some other account that was created by 5 or 6 other games? What drugs are you idiots on?

If you're going to use the Cerberus Network for ME2 items, why have all the Xbox players come to the website at all? We were able to input the codes for Shale and the Blood Dragon Armor for our console.

Whoever thought this crap up should be thrown into rehab.

I'll tell you what else sucks: Chris Priestly's link to EA Support. worthless. Go ahead and look at it... "27 of 244 people found this helpful". Thats because it doesn't actually address the issue, it just yet another explanation on how to redeem codes with a one line warning that says 'make sure you use the right EA account'. Hello numbnuts, if you haven't figured it out now: People don't know how to verify if they're using the correct account to begin with because theres NO INDICATOR of whether the account is linked or not linked. Only accounts that ARE already linked have an indicator. If you didn't know that, and you're using the wrong account, you have no way of knowing then. bleh. Horrible.

Quick question for those who have everything working but the Blood Dragon Armor... in the "your registered game promotions" section, does it show the Blood Dragon Armor as just for Dragon Age: Origins, or does it have two entries... one for DA:O and one for ME2? Mine shows for DA:O, but the Blood Dragon Armor still isn't showing up for me in-game on ME2.

Alright, Here's what happend to me and how I was able to fix it.

I registered on EA/Biowares site with my current email and redeemed all of my codes. I was unable to link my gamertag to my new account because I already linked it to an email I don't have anymore.

It looked like I just screwed my self out of all my DLC. But there's a way to get around it!

Create a new Live account( silver is fine) and when you login use the EA account you redeemed your DLC with. You can uses DLC on any profile so just dl and then use your normal profile.

I see alot of others the same problem I did so I hope this helps.

1. Create a new gamertag
2. Link it to the ea account that has the DLC
3. Log into the new gamertag and download everything
4. Sign out of the gamertag
5. Sign into our original gamertag
6. Load up ME2 where all the DLC should be

OMG THANK YOU!!! THIS ACTUALLY WORKED!!! \\(^o^)/ Okay, see, my problem was the same as most of you, that when I preordered Mass Effect 2, I went online to what I thought was my one-and-only ea account and redeemed the codes. Then it said to restart my 360 and the Cerberus Network should appear. But of course it didn't. On my 360, I logged on to the same ea account that I redeemed my codes to, but nothing showed up, and it kept saying that the codes were already in use when I tried to put them in again. I searched through this forum, trying all the different solutions some of you suggested, and none of them worked primarily because I kept getting the "Sorry, that Xbox LIVE Gamertag has already been taken. Please try another one." message when I tried to add my gamertag persona on my ea account, meaning that my gamertag somehow got linked to some other ea account a long time ago.

So after I saw this guys post, and seeing that someone else earlier suggested the same thing and it worked for them, I decided to try it too. I signed out of my gamertag and started creating a new one. Luckily that one month gold membership trial that every new profile gets allowed me to use xbox live and download things with it. So with my new gamertag, I tried the same exact thing again, I started up Mass Effect 2, I logged in to the same ea account I did before, and guess what? The other computer opened!!!! All three DLCs were right there!!! And online on my ea account it was showing this new gamertag in the persona section. However, at first I kept getting some 8051400c error when I tried to download them last night, and I couldn't find a solution so I just went to sleep, but this morning when i was trying to show a friend how close i was to fixing my problem, the downloads actually began and I never got the error again. After everything finished downloading, I signed out and went back to my original gamertag. Although the other computer did NOT open as if nothing changed, when I resumed the game, I notice there was a journal update, which were for the Normandy Crash Site and Zaeed Mission!!! And when I went to Shepards Cabin, there was the Terminus Armor!!! As well as the Singularity gun in the Weapons Locker!!! So for all of you with the same problem, TRY IT!!! IT WORKS!!!

Note: The friend I mentioned earlier, he also preordered the game and got the Cerberus Network working as soon as he logged in to ea and redeemed the codes, so he never had my problem. Everything was fine for him except for one thing: He couldn't import his ME1 character. Coincidentally, the day before I got ME2, I decided to beat ME1 again because I wanted to remember everything that happened. I didn't play the entire game all over again no, I just used my last autosave right before the final boss fight with Saren and beat it and watched the ending. It only took about 10 minutes, not long at all, and when I got ME2 my ME1 was right there to be imported. So I suggested to my friend this Solution: Beat ME1 again using the last autosave, and guess what? It worked for him, and he was able to import his character right afterwards. Sure he had to start ME2 all over again, but he didn't get that far anyway, and the bonus money, experience, minerals, carried paragon/renegade, and other bonuses as well as his original character and history all imported sure made it worth it. So for those of you who couldn't import yours, try beating ME1 again and see if it works for you too.

Had a old EA account I had forgotten about. Registered all of my DLC on to my new account.

Went to register my gamertags and oh lookie! They are taken.

Fortunately after going through many of the forums here I knew I could connect with Tech support to fix it.

Took me 2 tries via the chat system but Karl, bless his soul, got it all transferred over to my new account.

Now once I get home I can start downloading this stuff and see if it comes through ok
