Is there actually a way to fix this without disconnecting in and out of live or my profile???

Ever since the xbox 360 Received the new Metro Dashboard. I been getting the Sign-in Error ever so often. The Old dashboard I never got the Sign-in Error.
I just return to the dashboard and and boot up the game again. That way it doesn't require you to sign out and back in.

I too am having this issue. Same problems as described. I eventually was able to get it to work because as I was toying around with router settings I reconnected to XBL during the ME2 load in AFTER selecting the import save but BEFORE selecting settings. Seriously Bioware wtf? No responses to this game breaking bug?

I've just discovered this problem when I try to import as well. Importing only works when I do it offline, so I suppose I could start the imported game, save as soon as possible and then re-load the game while online (The problem hasn't affected the ability to load a game, whether I'm online or not).
I still want to know what caused it though. I've tried everything else to stop it from ever happening again, changing my profile settings, finishing ME1's endgame again, re-downloading DLCs, but nothing.
I have an idea on what it actually may be now though. I recently changed the email address associated with both my gamertag and EA account, and through checking I found that I did this after my last playthrough of ME1. Could it be that switch that is causing the "sign-in occured" problem? If it is, hopefully when I've finished my re-run of ME1 I'll be able to import without jumping through any hoops.
It's just a shame the game is configured in such an abysmal way.

Im having the same problem every time i play. the sign out change has occured, then after pressing a it restarts the main menu and seems fine from then on. Been happening ever since the new dashboard.
I got bout 4 completed playthroughs, all previously were imported from ME1. Doesnt seem to affect anything , just annoying every time i load up the game.

I have found a fix that works for me, if I sign out of my profile after I have logged into Xbox Live, and start the game I have no sign in errors. When you press start it will ask you to sign into a profile. Select your profile, and the game should let you play without any problems. However if you want to start a new game you must disconnect from Xbox Live until you can manually save the game, then you do the steps above.

Will Mass Effect 3 have this extremely annoying bug because I got that error in the demo?
I am finding it impossible to start a new game of mass effect 2 because if this bug.
It's stuck in a loop. Every time I try to import an ME1 character it says a sign in change occured and then reboots the game.
This never used to happen so i'm assumed an update broke the game.

SO . after much research on this particular matter, I've learned perhaps the cause of the issue. there are many possible reasons for the "A sign in Change Has Occured" and easy fixes for each of the possibilities, as well as 1 master fix to keep it from happening.
The easiest way to be able to play mass effect 2 without this annoying message, as well as importing your mass effect 1 charachter , is to simply disconnect from the internet.
This will allow you to play the game and not worry about this error.
The reason I believe this issue has occured is having to do with your home network settings. Somewhere in between your xbox and the Cerberus Server, there is some kind of hiccup.
Another reason is that your copy of mass effect 2 may be USED (I.e. You bought it from gamestop pre-owned), in where the Cerberus Network DLC Code has already been used which registers THE game to the first console and gamertag it was used on. Apparently there is nothing EA can do to fix this. (Yeah Right)
So being one of the two reasons, You get the error of A Sign In Change has occured.
This also has the nasty side effect of rendering the Cerberus Network DLC a pain to aquire. Im not saying it's impossible , but I have been through hell and back to try and get the content to work with my used copy of Mass Effect 2.. To this point I have had no success in being able to redeem in game DLC.
So to summarize, the best and easiest way to eliminate this problem is to simply disconnect from the internet. Then you don't have to worry about any errors. Aside from the cerberus network DLC, which gives you Zaeed some weapons, normandy crash site, etc, having the internet for this particular game, is not important. And if your copy of Mass Effect 2 is new and you already redeemed your DLC for the Cerberus Network, then you're good to go anyway.

Unfortunately though I can't start the game at all when offline. I get a corrupt DLC error.
I'm not using a used copy. I'm using the collectors edition I had bought brand new when the game was launched.
You might have a point about the network issue.
I have a 360 slim. I used to use wireless and the game never had the sign in issue.
A few months ago I went wired and now I get the issue nearly every time a start the game up.
I also had an issue when it was stuck in the profile change loop when trying to import ME1 character. Uninstalling the game somehow fixed that and allow me to import the character(although it could just be coincidence I suppose).
My main worry is that i'm going to have the same issue trying to import my ME2 character into Mass Effect 3 because I did get the sign in change error on the mass effect 3 demo.
I personally think that the fault is EA's though. Something to do with EA servers. As other games by other publishers don't do this.
I think I'll try loading the dragon age games to see if they get a sign in change error.
EDIT: Just tried wireless. Got the same Sign-in change error. So wired isn't the issue.

Found a possible fix.
I have 2 gamertags both linked to my EA account.
What I did is while on the dashboard I signed into my second gamertag.
I then loaded ME2 until it signed into cerberus network.
Once it was signed into the Cerberus Network I pressed the Guide button then pressed X to sign out.
After I signed out I got the sign-in change error.
I then signed into my main gamertag and waited for the game to sign in to cerberus network.
Once it had signed in to cerberus network I exited to dashboard. Now Whenever I start ME2 or the ME3 demo I don't get the sign-in changed error.
Could all just be a temporary fix or even just coincidence but it might be worth you trying.

Thread for solution that fixed this exact issue for myself and at least 2 others:
http://social.biowar...56572/1#9617367
This isn't a game-breaker for me.
UPDATE:
1> Saved game.
2> Re-installed disc 1.
3> Immediately get sign-in error at the title screen.
4> Restarted game. Error didn't show at title screen.
5> Resumed game. Game started without issues.
This bug only appears to affect IMPORTING of characters, not starting new games or loading/resuming previously saved games.
