Just as the title says.
I know Cole can leave if you're a bad bad Quizzy, you can ask Sera/Blackwall to leave, Solas leaves at the end, and whoever becomes Divine can go.
But do any companions other than Cole have crisis points? I thought Varric may have after seeing him walk away from the group, looking sad, in a trailer/gameplay vid a while ago. But seems not.
So, what companions can actually leave?

From my incomplete knowledge:
Who can Leave; Sera, Cole, Dorian, BW, CAss if chosen Divine, Leliana if chosen divine, Viv if chosen divine
Who won't leave: Solas (not until the end-game), Cass (except if chosen as Divine at the end-game), Josie & Cullen

BioWare can leave? What?
Oh, Blackwall... BW... Hmm..

Is there any way to get Vivienne and Varric to get lost? Just wondering.

Well you can not recruit Vivienne, but I don't think she'll go once she's there. And yea Varric doesn't leave no matter how much he doesn't like you.

It's worth recruiting Viv just for the satisfaction of telling her her personal quest (wyvern heart) sounds like a completely irrelevant waste of your time and you're not doing it.
****, I even collected the Circle books for her because at least that seemed something that's not entirely self-serving. I've made cross-country trips to help my peeps because their or someone else's life was in danger or their requests are Inquisition-relevant (Varric's red lyrium stuff, for example), or even because their self-serving interests were, at the very least, fully explained and obviously meant a lot to their peace of mind or future well-being (like Josephine's family quest before you find out her life actually is in danger).
But "limp, backhanded flattery" + "fight this incredibly deadly creature because magical ingredient" + "no, you don't need to know why but chicks b4 dicks amirite"? **** you, find another chump.
Sorry, needed to vent. I did laugh at her reaction, though.

Alternatively you can give her any old wyvern heart. Idk if she notices but it's sort of funny that is an option.

It's really bad if I loose both Cassandra and Vivienne.
They are my elite fighters. All patched up with the best of the best. I need them on my team. They are in expendable. I set up Vivienne as Knight Enchanter and Cassandra as Templar. Both are invincible. I only have to look pretty and scratch my behind i battles. They do all the work.
That's the first reason I simply have to make Leliana the new Divine. The second is I softened her to secure a better world for everyone. I like that point of view.
Dorian is my preferred third party member along with Varric. They do shift. Both makes me laugh.
Solas? Yes, he is a good mage. But I never really liked him a lot. He is rarely on my team. Maybe I had a hunch from the beginning?
This Quizquisition fellow is wierd. I have no intention to answer his questions. Unless I receive a killer bow by doing it.
I read on the net that someone received a unique maul named 'The Boon of the Spoon' (220 DPS, 24% Stagger on hit, 8 Willpower, On Kill: Target explodes for 75% Weapon Damage).
Only Iron Bull uses mauls on my team. I don't see any point in it as he already has a much better one.

But... she's trying to make a potion to save someone's life. She won't tell you what it's for, but as she said, she'd keep your secrets if she were doing the same for you.

That was him talking about "his friend" when you first get to Skyhold.

She notices. The outcome is ultimately the same, but instead of getting a (brief) very human moment with you, she keeps the cold/game face (I'm surprised she doesn't leave after it, but I suppose at that point she doesn't have much else to lose and can still gain by being part of the group, so it makes some sense that way).

Interesting. Makes sense she would notice though, considering she's supposed to be quite capable with these things.

Well, she should've said so. My Inq didn't not get along with her--they saw eye-to-eye on more things than not, politically--but my Inq never once got any inkling that Viv was out for anyone but herself. For all I knew, Viv was making some kind of poison to kill a rival. "I can't give you the deets, but it'll save the life of someone I know. I'm going to do this no matter what, I'd prefer if you come along, please." Done. What's so hard about that? Instead, it felt like she was doing her pretentious passive-aggressive thing and giving orders while taking up Skyhold space and doing jack herself.

The recipe and what it's supposed to do are actually just lying there in her quarters.
For such a keeper of secrets and great player of Thh Game, she kinda sucked at keeping this one ![]()

Wait, I throught Varric leaves if you have low approval and you fade stomp Hawke while he's there? I mean, I haven't played that, but I thought that was a Thing? I mean his leaving scene was even in the Choices and Consequences trailer, right?
That's what i'd assumed! I think his that scene is now the one where he walks off after you leave Hawke (with Varric in party).

Nah, if you have low approval you just can't use him for a little bit. If you have high he just gets sad for a bit but you don't lose the ability to use him.

Nope. I've actually been trying every game since my original one to get him to leave and he just won't do it.

Thing is, post-game you can retain both in your team should you have made them Divine by merely going up to them and asking them to come along. Was possible for Vivienne in my case.
Not certain whether that would have repercussions in any upcoming content, personally I doubt it due to no other companion being present with their spec, particularly in Madame's case.
