Angry Joes MKX review is here and I really don't get this running microtransaction theme

 

Microtransaction is something publishers like doing nowadays, why Joe is blaming the developers though is kinda dumb. Especially with Goro

I'm also becoming less of a fan of Joe lately, especially after this review

Really, the only thing I don't like with Netherrealm, and this pissed me off with Injustice too.

The Apps.

 

And the fact certain costumes (Batman Beyond, Arkham City Harley, Comic Bane,etc) were only made available through it. And they've done it again.

Including locking out Injustice Scorpion. Who's rad.

 

I could wait for the Komplete Edition, but that didn't fix the problem with Injustice.

 

It's a load of crap and we shouldn't be forced to deal with it.

 

Now, this could be something Warner Brothers is pushing, but I really just don't want it to be a thing. Microtransactions I can handle. Being forced to play a crappy Infinity Blade clone to get costumes I want is garbage, DLC is preferable.

It's the worst. I like Injustice, but dammit if it didn't annoy me.

 

Johnny beat Sub and Scorp at the same time because he's Johnny Cage.

And this is where they fall down.

 

Honestly, the kill count D'Vorrah racks up annoys me more.

 

Shinnok was a jobber since day one, and I like Cassie Cage. So I have no problems. Joe doesn't understand.

It seem Ermac's Spectral and Kitana's Mounful variations are ban from tournament play for the time being. As for Angry Joe. I was over at GameFAQs and he was getting into arguements with members over there with the MK Kommunity.

 

Ermac I can see, but Kitana's??

It isn't the microtransactions itself, it's more that I find it annoying when he blames the developers when it's the publishers behind that

 

my issue with Joe is that some of his rants shows that he looks from a casual viewpoint and did no research on some of them

 

As for Shinnok, Shao Kahn is honestly lackluster too because he's the cheapest boss I've ever seen. People love him so much because he's iconic to the franchise. Shinnok as a boss atleast plays like a character which I prefer over cheap bosses

But it's a boss fight. It's supposed to be cheap. That's why Shao Kahn was an effect boss fight.

I didn't mind Joe's review, though I do agree that Shinnok didn't have much presence and was a bit of a pushover for being the final boss (in the story, not in the actual gameplay, I would much rather the boss play more like Shinnok than Shao Kahn). I also agree with him in his distaste for Ermac's design (though unlike him I don't really care if Ermac is Hispanic or not). Ermac's wizard-mummy design is just bad.

No it isn't, that's actually a poor game design to make a boss cheap as hell

 

Having them play like advanced players makes a better boss fight

I loved his MK9 Alt, best Ermac design they ever did

Either this or a remake of his Shaolin Monks outfit is fine for me
