I can always apprieciate more Jax, one of favs in MK along with Sub-Zero but I wonder if they'll reveal Jacqui mom in the story?

At best they'll probably do it in the comics like they did Takeda's mom

I hope Jax has his winpose from MK 9 where he busts out the American Flag and drapes it around himself, Jacqueline should have a similar winpose too.

Are Jacqui's "that was for my father" line to Ermac taken from the story mode or as a generic win line? If it's from the story, then that's an implicit confirmation that Ermac dies in the story.

Seems to be for story mode, since win quotes don't seem to be dependent on the character's relationship to their opponent.

That's what I figured. If I'm right, then Quan Chi also dies. You can see Jax snap Quan Chi's head back at a 90 degree angle and almost decapitate him (unless that's a fatality and not a story mode fight; the way the trailer is cut, it's difficult to tell).

 

Of course, it's MK, so they could also both come back as undead (though Ermac is technically undead already).

Pretty sure the move on Quan Chi is just showcasing his fatality, could be wrong though

I'd guess that the trailer is only showing both of Jax's fatalities, since fatalities weren't a doable thing in MK 9 plus I doubt that Quan Chi would get killed if only because he's become something of a mainstay villain for MK.

I know for a fact that Takeda is Kenshi's son, and I'm 99% sure that Kung Jin is Kung Lao's son.

Same thing, really. But then I always thought Kung Lao (and Liu Kang with him) was really boring and only had his hat going for him, and Kung Jin looks like he isn't going to be any better.

I've always liked Kung Lao more than Liu Kang

 

Though I agree that Kung Jin does feel kinda boring, would've preferred Kai to return over him
