Well, personally, I would prefer DLC that fits into the pre-ending game somewhere.    Expanding quests and reasons for being in some of the later zones for instance.

My problem with post-ending DLC, is that it feels rather anti-climatic.   I just saved the world!   Now you want me to go do some minor side plot with my over-powered characters?   Doesn't work for me.    I do everything in the game before the final mission.    Once the final mission is done, and the credits roll, its time to start a new character.

The plans for no expansion was something that was mentioned quite a while before release if I recall. We shouldn't be discouraged by said plans, keep providing that feedback and maybe Inquisition will get the proper expansion it deserves :). I know I'd gladly throw my money at two expansions  :D.

Ideally I want said hypothetical expansion to start off with the Inquisitor attending the coronation of the next Divine, open up more of Val Royeaux, stuff happens and we go from there to other zones.

I would love a DLC regarding Solas.  I would also like something that you can do either before or after.  Give us a new region too! :)

Honestly I think the only requisite any gameplay dlc should have unless its specifically about what happens after Cory's defeat is to have reached skyhold.  Plus I feel like it would be nice to have a DLC to play between your second main quest at skyhold and Arbor Wilds so you don't just have to sit on your hands for a day to do their war table missions if you didn't want to rush into the main story and did the side zones first..

Odds are any DLC we get will be like Skyrim's Dawnguard of Dragonborn.  Something that could be done pre or post main story.

First of all I'd love a real Solas DLC or expansion! Alright i willI admit - without any torture needed - that I'm totally sold on that guy. Hook, line and sinker

But even without that fact...

So much is still in the shadows, unanswered. For starters; what ' people' is he refering to. Is it the elves? Speaking to the Inquisitor he doesn't even seem to consider them his people. Or is it the old (elven) Gods he's speking of? Is his intention to awake them from their 'slumber'`In any event, what ever it is he's planning, he seem rather motivated to follow and complete his mission - he's even prepared to kill Flemeth for it (Not saying that he did, only that if she hadn't given her power to him voluntarily he likely would have) As I said a lot of questions are yet to be answered.

But I doubt that he'll return as a companion, not without some well founded, self-interested intensions anyway. If you speak with Cole post-game he quates him as *the path I now must walk in solitude forever'  That's a pretty good indication that he's got no intention of coming back, wouldn't you say?

A must be however is a storage chest! Why there isn't one to begin with is to me a mystery. I ran around the game with my backpack filled up with legendary weapons and armor since I didn't want to sell them of.

Some other fun, but of much lesser importanace, would be...

  • some kind of vanity or mirror to change the appereance of my character during the game. I also would think a few allternative clothing looks would be a good idea.
  • Something apperance like to collect. Like the ships in ME 2 and 3. My characters all ended up collecting something in the junk section, if not toy soldiers so animals made of ivory or glass. And always a bloody teddy-bear (didn't have the heart to throw it away)
  • more customasations for the keep.

And no matter how we look at it we will need some new people, if we are to continue playing past the ending at least. (I don't think i want any DLC set before it). Especially a new spymaster if Leliana's the one named devine. And where is our faithful Mabari!

I also can think of not only a few, but a lot of DLC opertunities - besides Solas - that spin on from the endings.

For starters we have the Warden situation, both with what's happening at Weisshaupt and the cure for the calling. And the mage and Templar situation is not really solved, is it? Then there's the racial tentions...  I also could see a plot with a try for an assasination on the Inquisitor. And that's only scraping on the surface.

Come on BioWare, there are so much potentiall here. You've created an amazing game, both story and gamewize, now show us what you can do with it...

I hope we get a post game solas DLC because I DON'T like him. If he gets settled in a dlc, I don't have to worry about the bald piece of **** in the next full game

The only pre-ending dlc I can imagine being interested in is alternate outfits, schematics and a storage chest.  Ideally I'm hoping for an expansion, but if that's off the table a large story DLC with Solas, and more development on what the blight is.

They explain what the blight is, its when the darkspawn find a old god and corrupt it with the taint in a nutshell. The old god or archdemon then leads them to conquer the surface. Of course the first darkspawn are only explained as what the chantry thinks, which is the first magisters to open the golden city and corrupt the makers realm and returned as these creatures.

Well based on the chant, how the fade works and other things I bet the blight was a reflection of the ambition and dark acts used to open a physical rift to the fade.  The same way old battle grounds tear they fade and cause echos/ghosts, sacrificing thousands of slaves for a blood ritual of that magnitude and the corrupted ideas behind it probably caused the Magisters to corrupt themselves or whatever was there by default.

The end doesn't always justify the means. :P

In the interviews before the game came out the devs had said that there will be no awakening like expansion because it is too costly and all story dlc will be post game.

So hopes and dreams aside. its probably gonna be DLC like Origins Witch Hunt and Golem of Amgarrak

Not The Golems of Amgarrak. I can't empathize enough how much I hated that DLC. It had no connection to anything else and you couldn't even use the save to play forward...

Currently we are just hoping for fixes to the game itself. The Xbox 360 and PS3 systems over heat because gamers on those systems cannot install the 2nd disc to hard drive.

I really hope we're going to get post-ending DLC, but I think they don't want to alienate people who haven't finished the game so they will take DA2 route. So dialogue changes a little depending where you are at the game. Hope I'm wrong though. *gough* Solas *gough*

They need to up the difficulty in old zones if you want any replayability. It's sooooo anticlimactic after you beat core-Finnish.

5 new areas?

That's not an expansion, that's a new game.

Not really. Unless you misinterpreted and consider areas as nations. The vanilla game has 10 full areas, $60 game. This expansion would have 5 full areas, $30. Fits perfectly.

Also not like they have to rebuild the areas from the ground up. There are areas constantly referenced in the game that we never get to see, this could be an opportunity to see and influence them directly.
