Hey all,

Just wanted to ask from your experience whether or not ME2 and ME3 DLCs have ever been discounted in the past.  I've been wanting to replay the trilogy, but to give me more incentive to replay I was thinking about getting the DLCs to make replaying the games a bit more fresh / new.

Thing is, the current asking prices are ridiculous.  ME2's DLC amounts to $31 and ME3's DLC amounts to $50, for a combined total of $81.  You could buy ME2 and ME3 for ~$5 each on Steam / Origin sales, and the entire trilogy package (all 3 games together) is currently going for ~$20.

ME2 and ME3 are 5 years and 3 years old respectively, and I'm finding it a bit odd that their DLCs haven't seen a single price reduction since day 1.  Even weirder that DLCs are priced several times the price of the actual base game.

I'm not sure if I'm looking in the right places, but Amazon and the Bioware website both have these prices.  Has it ever gone down and does anyone have an idea of when we can expect it to go down?

Thanks to anyone who can give any information / insight on this.

Entirely from memory I'm pretty sure they have been discounted previously, albeit very rarely. In terms of whether you can expect them to go down again, I doubt anyone could say tbh. It's 5 and 3 years down the line and they're still priced how they are, so there's no indication that they WILL go down again, let alone when.

That being said, Omega (arguably) aside, most are pretty good value, even if they are still full price.

Perhaps cherry-pick the better DLCs?

Thanks for the insight, that really blows.

Thanks for the tip as well, but honestly I think I'll just hold off for now, especially with rumors of a remastered trilogy (which will probably include DLC).  I am one of those people that refuses to pay more for a DLC than the actual game, and when I usually buy games they're on Steam sales.

Really weird to hear that they rarely go down in price this late in their life cycle, though.  There can't be any strategic advantage to keeping the same pricing model for so long.

Thanks again.

Xbox Live has run a few sales on them.  Many of their weekly sales are centered around specific publishers (e.g. EA).
