My three favorites from the ME3 squad are Ashley (My romance), Javik and Garrus.

I always take Ashley and Garrus on the rush to the beam, but I always want Javik to tell Joker to go. That to me would make my ending and story. Instead I ALWAYS get my least favorite, Liara doing it. (It's not that I hate her character inherently, but she's always being shoved down the player's throat which has driven me to hate her). I've always head-canoned the fact my Shepard secretly finds her really annoying and doesn't care about her at all :P

So, basically--how can I make it so Javik tells Joker to leave? And is it even possible for him to put Shepard's name on the memorial wall (provided there's no LI of course)

I know I can take Liara to the beam, but then Garrus tells Joker to leave, which I don't really want. Same with Ashley.

And I've searched on Youtube too and the only video with Javik telling Joker to leave is filmed with a potato. And one with him putting Shepard's name on the memorial is, well doesn't exist...

Edit: Also, I have Gibbed Save Editor (I play on PC) so is it possible to change relationship / friendship values??

I've heard that the character who tells Joker it's time to go is the least used character, who wasn't on the beam run.

I'm not sure if that's true. I've just seen it posted here before. It sounded legit though, since I got Ashley whenever she was alive. And Ashley spends half the game in the hospital.

I'm not sure about that. I only use EDI on the mandatory Cerberus Base mission, and I've never had EDI in that scene. I usually seem to get Liara, and she also spends nealry the entire game on the ship. When it's not Liara, it's Kaidan, as you get with Ash. I guess, if we exclude EDI, that could be the formula. I can say with certainty I've never had Javik, though, even in the few playthroughs where I don't much use him.

Wow. Examining my squad usage patterns, I really only use four squadmates-- Garrus, James, Javik and Kaidan. I take Liara, EDI and Tali only as required.

On my most recent playhtrough I got Javik in the final flashback and he was the one to walk out of the Normandy with Joker. However, it was Liara who told Joker to leave and it was her who held the nameplate.

The squadmate who tells Joker to leave is the one who has been taken on the most missions if he/she was not on the beam run. If 2 squadmates have been taken on the same amount of missions and not used for the beam run, it ends up being decided by the amount of times the player has talked with that squadmate.

Its the same for who Shepard talks to during the what-the-crap evac scene. The squadmate that has been taken on the most missions is the one that talks to Shepard.

If the player has a LI, she/he will be the 2nd one to exit the Normandy, unless synthesis is chosen, and the third one to exit will be the one that was taken on the most missions.

If Shepard has no romance or romanced Miranda or Jack, it will be the character that has been talked with the most that holds the nameplate. I believe the times that Shepard talks with the characters on the Citadel makes a difference. The time I romanced Miranda and didn't romance anyone, Samantha held the nameplate.

Personally I would just have Samantha tell Joker to leave since she is seen in the c**kpit all the time even when no squadmate is available to tell him to leave.

Wouldn't work in my playthrough Mike. Left to Sam she'd be telling Joker to get the hell back over there to the Citadel, screw trying to save the sexbot.

That is incorrect. I took Javik on EVERY mission before the beam, with a 50/50 split between Garrus and Ashley alongside him.

However, I always get Liara telling Joker to go--who I've never taken on a mission voluntarily, and unquestionably have spoken less to than Javik or Garrus.

I know. I just headcanon that she shoots the clown in the back of the head, turns the Normandy back towards the Citadel and has someone take the shuttle to pick up Shepard or she will do it herself shooting anyone that gets in her way

My playthroughs has always been like that. I have it set up for certain squadmates to tell Joker to leave depending on my playthrough

Well, it is not correct for me. (Though I wish it was)

I like the Virmire Survivor best as the one to tell Joker it's time to go, assuming the VS also isn't dead or seriously wounded (and presumably undergoing surgery in the Med Bay) as the VS is the senior ranking officer on board. The VS should be in command in Shepard's absence.

OK. After doing the Synthesis Ending, I had Javik tell Joker to leave. Probably because I chose the worst ending just to get that scene.

I guess I'm a stupid primitive :-(

But there you have it, seemingly you have to choose Synthesis ending to get Javik to tell Joker to leave Shep.

The only way Javik tells Joker to leave is if you romance him in the Citadel DLC. He then comes to the conclusion that he must have another night with a primitive woman before he dies and thus tells Joker to blast out of there with the remaining crew.

I

In my game, Shepard puts an Adm David Anderson plaque on the memorial at the end, and gets a hug from LI. If he doesn't in your game, somebody ruined your ending!

This seems to be true. My most used squadmate is Javik. Garrus is second and Kaidan is third. I always take Javik and Garrus to the beam, so Kaidan ends up telling Joker to leave and later he's the one who holds the nameplate.

I don't think this is true, because I always spoke to Javik the most and I never got him to hold the nameplate.

Javik, James and Joker will never hold the nameplate no matter what.

This is handy. I'd like to orchestrate some of these things for my next (as almost always, Synthesis) ending. :)

If they were so self-congratulatory over the fact, then very probably.

Doesn't make that person perfect.

For me to get certain squadmates to tell Joker to leave was through trial and error.

It does in a sarcastic sense, which was what I was going for.

As was it for me, and no doubt most.
