Not really what the title says.
So, do you ever feel bad for any enemies slain in DAI? The Hyenas in the Western Approach make me sad as they whine when they die.
I also had issues killing cactuars and slimes in various Square and Enix games but killing dogs still doesn't sit quite right with me.
The spiders can all burn in a fiery pit in someone else's hell though!
.
Hyenas? No. Nature decided to grant them an evil annoying laugh on top of being vicious little...creatures, so I feel zero remorse. However after slaying a mabari and collecting canine leather, one does feel a little bit unclean afterwards.

Nugs are meant to serve mankind, not rule over it
Nugs are meant to be served to mankind, so we can drool over them.
Hmmm, delicious nugs.

I love chasing them around haven. It's like whack a mole
LMAO! ![]()
I honestly tried to keep from killing the animals in the area, that is until a bear came in between me and some bandits in the Hinterlands. Man, that creature was tough! And once I was finished with him, standing over his remains with relief flowing through me of having survived the encountered, another one appeared followed by his brother. I got soooo sick of the damn things by the time I left the area for good. One even had the audacity to pop out of thin air right in front of my Inq's face as I was running away from a losing battle with a group of enemies.
Everyone but my rogue fell to the ground so fast, they got whiplash. Thank the Maker for the stealth cloaking ability - saved my rear end more times than I can count. And that's a lot, I can count pretty high. (Alisair zinger, wuzzah!) ![]()
And the ram population in that area will never be the same again ![]()
The High Dragons make me feel the worst, though. ![]()

I used to feel bad whenever a fennec would get between me and an enemy and end up dying, but after a while I stopped caring because it happened so often. I made myself a pretty coat out of nugskin ![]()

Nay humankind was meant to serve nugkind. And you can learn the truth by purchasing the good book, To Serve Nug.Nugs are meant to serve mankind, not rule over it
It contains the best directions on serving nug. The secret? A hint of cranberry and basting in dwarves ale.

Only thing bugs me is that Hyenas drop canine leather. This tiny and unimportant mistake for some reason annoys me.

No, actually they're not. Hyenas are actually more closely related to cats then canines. But they are canines?

Animals have rights, for sure. They have the right to die and empower my armor/weapons. I honor their sacrifice everytime I deal a killing blow or absorb an enemie's strike.

Don't impose real life morality on a video game. If I wanna hunt an d kill stuff for fun, then dammit I'm going to do it. Fake, virtual animals don't feel pain, and aren't real. It isn't the same as reality.

I am the Herald of Andraste. I forgive you in her name. Find peace in that, and kill more dragons.
Just ignore the fact that you, also, are the Herald. That would just make things confusing.
