yeah, killing dragons is something i feel weird about, but i don't care much, he is trying to kill me as well, the same go for hyenas, etc... I don't like when suddenly one of my party members atack a Halla (and im dalish, that's just wrong) because it got in the way.

I finally finished killing all the Dragons and got the award, but towards the middle of the list I began to not like doing it. I don't like watching their legs give out from under them and stuff. I mean, they DO keep coming back for more when they could just as easily fly away at the first sign of trouble, but still.
Bears though? Yeah eff bears.

Oooh... This thread just gave me a great idea. I'm gonna make a staff grip with nugskin and name it Schmooples.
Make a staff (first enchanter's staff that required leather) and chain name it with the upgrades
Schmooples
The Second
Meets His End.

I generally don't feel bad for animals in any game. Although there was this one time in Red Dead Redemption where I called my horse and the poor bastard tripped and fell down a hill. I went to go see if he was okay but I pressed the wrong button and ended up skinning him by accident. I have to say that made me feel like sh!t.

Went on a hunting spree in the Emerald Graves today, so many nugs, august rams, and bears. It was satisfying to see my party chase down our prey. The Inquisition will stay warm through the cold of Emprise du Lion.

It just occured to me that despite my glee at destroying snowfleurs for their pelts, there was one animal I felt bad for. My horse. I rode my horse off the sides of cliffs many times since you don't take damage that way, but I always cringed on the landing because the back of my brain was thinking about how a horse should have four broken legs from those falls.

I'll said it before and I'll say it again in this thread: In real life, bears, hyenas, nugs, wolves do not attack people at all. They'll run away in fear. Only if bears have cubs they will (or might attack you). I don't get why every video game developer always have to have wild life in the game automatically attack you. OK, not every video game developer as Bethesda did not do this in their Elder Scroll games. I was surprised when I first played Morrowind and Oblivion that the wildlife didn't attack me at first. And yes, I did kill a deer in Oblivion once or twice - but it was because I needed some skins for a quest. In Bioware games, it seems, wolves just attack you on sight, bears do the same. I don't know why. But it feeds the image that wolves and bears are dangerous animals that in the real world, would attack us on sight.
And to all of you that have to finish the dragon off in the hinterlands? Can't you just leave the fight e.g. flee and let the dragon live? Or do you actually have to kill it to continue? Again, no real hunter in real life would even consider doing this! Especially if the dragon female had cubs/children.

Not really, cause everything kept trying to kill me first. Wouldn't have killed half the things I did if they just didn't insist on charging at me with the sole goal of killing my glowing handed ass.

You would think any sensible bear would avoid a large group of heavily armed/armored humanoids, but NOOOO. The wildlife (the realistic ones, anyway) shouldn't have had this "helpless/aggressive" dichotomy with nothing in between. The only ones that have any reason to be any more aggressive are the demon-possessed wolves.
Not saying anything about Varghasts, Phoenixes, Lurkers, and Wyverns.

This topic makes me look back and cringe at how many minorities Bioware has bend their will towards to please them in the past. Ah, I miss when Bioware could just make fun out of stuff and nobody were offended because they didn't take everything so seriously.

I felt bad when Dorian lit a ram on fire, then Sera and Blackwall chased it into the woods.
I stared, then I laughed, then I thought that was horrible, then I thought... I want to do that again.
Then I felt less bad. I like to imagine we just put it out of it's misery and ate it. But more likely, I looted it's charred corpse, and used the leather to make armor. Oh don't mind that burnt spot, that just lends it a... unique quality. Yes, that's it.
