and if you go Leliana's route there are dead bodies in the estate
what estate? either way fewer inq members die.

I went Josie's route both times so far. Once the guards ended up killing an assassin, the other time they did not. I think if you use Josie on the war table for all of the war table parts in her route, no assassin shows up at skyhold, or maybe I just got lucky.
So I am considering which would be the safest bet. I have done both. One where I used Liliana's spies to destroy the contract. And I did the going to Val Royeaux a few times to meet people.
I notice that no one gets killed by sending Liliana's spies. Also no mention of it in her report. It mentions that other contract were found.
Which route would you take?
I go with what Josephine wants, I have not romanced her so I don't know her full story, but I got the impression that she is really bothered if you don't take her route, she is just too diplomatic to say it (and also what sort of organization inquisition is if it can't fend off couple killers)
Interesting. I went with Josie's plan and don't remember this -- it's something that actually occurs in Skyhold itself, and isn't just mentioned in a report?
Well for 3 of my playthroughs that I did go the Josephine's route of doing things. It was after talking to the lady at the party. I head back to Skyhold and go to talk to Josephine and basically a guard is there and a dead body on the floor.

Yip, if you walk by her office there should be a corpse on the ground. And you have to walk by her office to do her quests so it's weird that you missed it. Bug maybe? Though I would like to point out that no one said anyone except the assassin died in that attempt.
I've usually done it Josie's way since it's her problem (kinda, sorta) and I don't mind her having the say on how it's resolved. I kinda lean towards Leliana's brand of problem solving though.
F*ck assassin's guilds. Any agents or advisers of the Inquisition (and of course my Inquisitor's friends) being in mortal danger from these high falutin lowlifes is unacceptable, so I kill the assassin in Val Royeaux and I destroy the contract.

Yup my thinking as well.
I think the Inquisitor should of said this to the messenger.
I am the Inquisition and your reputation is now null in void. If you don't like it, just plan an early retirement then! Suckar! ![]()
The assassin himself made a good point about the time it would take to correct the issue her way. I did the diplomatic route to try it out, even though I shared Leliana's annoyance with her insistence that it be done peacefully.
Can I seduce her when in a relationship?
Well, I was in one with Josie, so saw it as taking one for the team. But yes, yes you can.
To be precise, you cannot sleep with the noble if you have "locked" in a romance as you lose access to flirt options. However Josie's locking point is later in her quest line, so if you are only pursuing her the option will always be open.Well, I was in one with Josie, so saw it as taking one for the team. I've done it Josies way and have never had a corpse in her office.

Is that one that comes out to greet you from her party?
Yea thats her.
I wonder how this works. I've done it Josie's way twice and both times there was a body there.
I wonder if it has to do with how long you take to do it.

Hail Sithis.

I went with Josie's plan, it's her family business she's the one who has to live with the outcome.
And I didn't care enough to risk upsetting a guild of assassins by breaking into their vault and probably killing several of their people.
