Low: failing to carry Vancouver/Collectors/Silver after two players quit and I got eaten by a giant crab on wave 9.
High: at least my PS3 didn't freeze.

Low: Landed in a GiP on Hazard White. With a Kroguard. Host was a VSent who somehow managed to stay right in front of me the whole game.
This is him.

High: Skeet-shooting Marauders from the landing pad. Strip their shields while they fly up, yell "PULL!", and BC before they land. Gets some good air.
A laggy game with strange effects. My annihilation field had red vapor trails, and failed to register effects. My valkyrie died a lot in CC.
Greatness! Very successful day, first was fortunate enough to host a Ghost/Rippuh/Gold game with Black_Mage168 participating as well as two highly skilled pugs. My SI just had to keep his head down and help on objectives ![]()
Oh, I think I learned to reload cancel the Mantis. Basically I shoot, then fire a proxy mine right after hitting reload (possibly while mashing buttons), and suddenly the Mantis has a round in the chamber. Couldn't really get the timing down, but happy to see it work.
Black_Mage168 put on a "how to pwn the map with the Valkyrie" clinic. I was very fortunate to have him in the game!
The second was same but with Geth (going for Rocket Trooper and Bomber points). Used the same SI but with only the Hurlicane (no SR) + stablity mod III + SMG Amp III + Disruptor Ammo III. I was stunned (ha ha, no pun intended you freaking Geth Hunters) to see Geth dying in waves in front of me like kobolds against a vorpal sword + 7. Energy drain plus the amped up Hurlicane tore them to pieces so quickly I had to look around to see if QMR wasn't taking the geth down with a lolReegarAdas. I was on my feet for the vast majority of waves 1-8 and delivered 75% of the pizza myself (waves 3 and 10) via run/drop canceling. Finally I got the hang of aiming the proxy mine, allowing for fun tech bursts and making Primes splode. I even managed to grab a dirty no good Hunter.
The only downer is that I failed to extract because I was having so much fun blowing stuff up in Kroganesque fashion that I didn't look at the timer until it said :08 and I couldn't make it. But I did take out one last prime before the clock ran out. ![]()
After all that, I only finished third, but was close to the second place guy (the 1st place dude was a Vorcha who outscored us all by 20k). What I'm very pleased with is the fact that this SI is a no-fitness build and I managed to get cloak and dodge timing down enough to stay alive while spamming energy drain all over them geth. So yeah, probably one of my most successful days.
Tl;dr version: The Salarian Infiltrator is awesome

That's reload-hiding. You still have to learn the ways of reload-canceling, young padawan.
^ It's decent. Just runs out of ammo fast and requires cybernetic fingers.

So, I still had the Predator to complete, since I've never finished the challenge on PC. Soooo...:
Highlight: I figured out how to make the Predator effective. (Far from OP, but effective.) The solution was Scope + Cranial Trauma System + AP IV, put it on the QFI, and proceed to stagger with Sabotage, then line up the headshots very carefully, then double-tap. This gives the damn thing as high a damage output as possible, and plays to its single strength, which is rate of fire. I actually managed to topscore in a pug with this setup, vs Cerb on Vancouver.
Bonus highlight: I never need to use the Predator again ![]()
Low point: My right index finger hurts ![]()
You know, Saikyo_McRyu. TF is shutdown. He won't be back for some time. He's retired at a nice round number too. 5500.

Steve, my man...in this thread and another recent one you mention your travails in Silver... Look, I know you're always painting yourself as a n00bscruub and whatnot, but you're not fooling me. I've played with you enough to know that your Silver days are long gone. You're a pro now, brah. Leave the Silvers behind. Embrace the Gold+ player that you are!
Listen to this man, he knows what he talks about.
Next time we meet(probably sometimes next weekend), we go Platinum!

Nah, I play Gold okay if there are decent players in the lobby; then there's less/no pressure on me and I make fewer mistakes. When pugging, I generally have more fun in Silver.
Thanks for the vote of confidence though ![]()
Both of you on PS3 too? Maybe we should throw a Silver PS3 party right now... then ninja it to Platinum.
Maybe it's because I've been using the PPR a lot lately (Destroyer, ACA and Volus Adept) but I feel like people have been doing a whole mess of coming to stand in front of me these days. Perhaps it's always been going on and I've just noticed it more because of the big green laser deathray. It just seems like when I grab a preem-o patch of RHA and settle in to ramping up the PPR, others decide that my carefully selected soft-cover position is really *their* carefully selected soft-cover position.Low: Landed in a GiP on Hazard White. ...I wonder if I do it, too, and just don't notice? Hey, if anyone is playing with me and I come stand in front of them like that, please let me know! I want to NOT be that guy -- so that when others do it to me, the fury of my righteous indignation will be pure!
It happens not that often that I'd feel the need to comment on it usually... but sometimes you get some scorewhores who always try to push in front of you.
Depending on my mood I either step back and watch until they die, so I can play without interference... or I relocate to another spot on the map.
If I'm really pissed off, I block them right back. It's -very- effective when done on purpose. ![]()
Similiar situation with smoke from Recon Mines:
There were two Reegar Volus Engineers running around yesterday, detonating their Recon Mines all the damn time without killing more than a few Swarmers. I was using a Juggernaut and got into a bit of trouble because I was in the middle of a spawn and heavy melee needs a target to work. With all that smoke I didn't see anything around me. After several attempts to get them to stop I simply sidestepped all Banshees, made a point of not rezzing anyone (already had a revive medal by then) and hunted down easy targets like Ravagers, Cannibals and Marauders first. After a slow 20min extraction I had ~180k. It was totally worth it. ![]()
Combos
Vancouver/Collectors with a QFE, Fury and a justicar. The fury played more like a ranged adept, which made for a fun game. Between cryo blast, reave, DC, throw, incinerate and cryo ammo, there were so many explosions. Several targets got hit with multiple attacks at the same time, which made for some hilarious ragdoll effects, and wonderful combos.
One of my favorites was this - the trooper got hit with cryo ammo, pull, incinerate and throw in very quick succession and got launched off the map.

Vancouver is my favourite place to shieldbonk enemies off the map with my Paladin.
But that works too. ![]()
Low - Lag really affecting Siege Pulse
High - 50 AR Kills with the Spitfire and overall not that bad of a game
LOW: EVERY GAME LAGGY TODAY! SUCKS ROTTEN TURIAN SCROTUM!!
!
LOW: EVERY GAME LAGGY TODAY! SUCKS ROTTEN TURIAN SCROTUM!!
Also QFT. I dropped out of 4 games today.
I don't remember if I dropped out of any GIP games? Only from lobbies if I'm remembering right. So today was overall a good day of pugging.
High - amusing.
Dropped into a lobby and I think the host said something about testing. Voice volume was low so I couldn't make it out clearly but I didn't hear him wrong. It was supposed to be Collectors but we got a menagerie of scions that fired an endless barrage, possessed scions that seemed full of grenades (a total of like 30 or more from a bunch of them), a party of banshee ladies out to find their partners, a wild pack of husks and their possessed counterparts booming explosively that the map seemed to shake, prowling brutes proving they've good as any charging bulls, cannibals, marauders and ravagers gate crashing whenever they could.
I think the host made the mobs slightly more vulnerable. Otherwise we wouldn't have made it out. ![]()
High: Couple of good PuG Platinums today
Low: Was microseconds late for extraction in last one
High: Getting pestered by Mgamerz for a couple of zombie runs. Condor was a right PITA.
Higher: I dodged a swarmer on my blind run to the LZ as the lone survivor. I got cheers for that.
Low: wound up in a game in progress with a totally useless PUG Kroguard and only marginally more useful FQI against geth. They wiped, like, a lot.
High: in the next game, scored over 100,000 with my volus.
