learning to play things that I didn't expect to enjoy (e.g. vanguards, shotguns)

 

High: I had a play with another such character today.  Having just completed the 200 waves challenge for the asari Valkyrie, I decided to try her human "cousin", so deployed the Fury.

Specced into all three powers, evolved Annihilation Field for movement speed, and gave her a light gun for Throw-spamming.  Even without an adrenaline module, she's a speed demon.  Against things like Banshees that I didn't want to risk grabbing me, I reverted to playing her like a HSent or AA, alternating Dark Channel and Throw.  Brutes are rather fun though: DC, shoot, Throw, run close while shooting more, Throw again, dead Brute.

The games I played were all Silver and all on-host.  She felt quite fragile even in Silver, I was relying on speed and AF's shield drain for survivability, not dodging very much because the teleport dodge is disconcerting, but perhaps I'll get used to it.  (Never did when doing the Cabal challenge some months ago, mind).

 

I'd be very reluctant to try her in Gold, but perhaps in a friends-only, all-biotic team, and equipped with a cyclonic IV...

I see the Fury a lot in pugs, played both incredibly well and rather badly (there seems to be little middle ground).  Already, I think I get why she's so popular.  The rapid, Throw-Throw-Throw biosplosion playstyle is tons of fun, and quite different from the Valkyrie.

High: dropped into a PUG at the end of third wave with my glorious Revenant-sporting volus. Missed literally 100 points from topping the board, despite using no missiles.

Low: two of the PUGs were good, but with woefully understocked manifests, and the third managed to die a lot with the EDIbot.

I see the Fury a lot in pugs, played both incredibly well and rather badly (there seems to be little middle ground).  Already, I think I get why she's so popular.  The rapid, Throw-Throw-Throw biosplosion playstyle is tons of fun, and quite different from the Valkyrie.

She's a beast in gold if you can play her aggressively, stealing shields wherever possible, flipping out of danger using the map walls and other obstacles to her advantage.

 

Lag is her worst enemy without a doubt.  But in gold pugs i see almost all pug Furys hardly never use AF, spam only DC. use Throw as an after thought and get hardly any BE's. When you do get one who gets how to play her, the matches go much more smoothly especially with other biotic kits in the group.

Besides panda, also got to game with HamleticTortoise, Marksmad, and Pheabus2005. GG to all and thanks for the carries!  I used the winnings to unlock the N7 Shadow. Yay?

If you told me that, I'd say the lag felt more like 40 or 50 devices

High - I preset Condor for quick search at one point yesterday, and I was instantly teleported to Condor to my great surprise. So much so that when I got there, I sent a console command msg to the pugs saying "Who would of thought preseting Condor worked?"

 

Low - it never happened again. But I did get to play Condor again with SMR, on the bright side.

 

High - So I preset Collectors for quick search as a classy SE with classy Collector banner. And I land in lobby with a Collector preset and the host being a SI also with a classy Collector banner. He right away readies up knowing we got this as a duo of Salarian Collector fans. Another high was landing on Ghost (hazard version).

 

Low - back in the lobby I noticed he didn't change the faction? Oh well, it's Collectors, who cares. Back after that 2nd game was when again I noticed he still didn't change it off Collectors and this time he left, but without host migration? Oh, wait, I'm the host?

W1-2 everybody goes down except juggy, I get lucky with Geth respawning in basement as soon as I kill anything, so I kill mostly everything with HE

 

W3 hack LZ Juggy starts up Hack and then leaves to the basement to Save us

High: Making Geth our b*tches with Senor Tomato (sp?)  His juggy and my GE High 5s and HM between waves (we have played with each other randomly(

 

Low: another pug Krogan with a reegar who not only low scored but gave no heat butts, did not melee anything in the game and never once heard a Raaawwr!

HIGH - had my first mgamerz zombie mod game with sinful_force and a player I didn't recognize. My head is still spinning but it was oh so much fun. Husks and abombs everywhere. The first game was in Hazard Reactor and had the reactor set to go off automatically what felt like every 10-15 seconds. Which made the reactor hack on wave 3 exciting and then the one on Wave 10 nearly impossible with us having to run into and out of the reactor every few seconds and dodge the 87,000 or so husks and abombs and random banshees and primes and other stuff. The next game on Glacier went more smoothly. I feel like I missed a lot of what was going on because I was continually trying not to get swarmed. So I look forward to the next time (or more likely a few times after that) when it starts to slow down.

 

Tl:dr zombie mod is hard but fun!

 

High - finished Reaper Mastery by getting 40k husk points in 2 games.

 

Low: no new URs in any of my store purchases in the last couple of weeks.  Boo RNG store!

High - Seen a Geth Engineer pug get trapped by Geth Hunter against the ammo on White as he was struggling with back dodges to get away from an ambush as we reached outside. As I struggled to get some dps out of my Geth Pulse Rifle to save him in time, it was sure funny to watch him trying to dodge nowhere - then the inevitable KO that put a smirk on my face.

 

High - unlocked 2 URs in one Arsenal Package.

 

High - finally maxed out my Rare weapons at around 103hrs. Low - Now the endless search for skin tones ensues.

 

High - I've played all day today. First since my pug days. In fact, I'm going back after I'm done with BSN.

 

High - Mgamerz showed me the power of my choice of consumables from here on...

Skin tones are very visible like: brown white, green white, slight dark white green. Also sorry for being awful at that duo, what a bad first impression

Get up close and personal, aim for the head (10k dmg per hit) and cancel reloads with melee. Heavy melee kills increase weapon damage by 25%, so you should kill a mook with melee or finish a boss with a melee attack every 20sec.
