Why do I encounter worthless pugs in my main account, but when I embark on an AAA (AltAccount Adventure), all Gold pugs are competent, and the games become much more enjoyable? Why are there so many no-gel warriors? WHY IS THE KROGAN HIDING BEHIND AN EFFIN SNIPER?
So, more experiences from the last days:
Main account was basically a lot of frustration, pugs, bugs and hugs. Okay, the last one isn't true, I just wanted another similar word.
AAA:
-met Hittler117, he wasn't very good at exterminating.
-something which I have never seen before: during pizzas, two guys ran in the dropzone circle and defended it. What? It made my and my teammate's job much harder, and it wasn't an one time thing, because they did exactly the same thing during another pizza round.
-shame on those who didn't gel and gets themselves carried by a low level player. Especially if they have the BotB banner, and the another one has a hundred times more n7 and cp points. (The only not enjoyable game.)
-probably I am the only one in the history of ME3MP, who gets disappointed that he got a Harrier+Claymore from his first two APs.
-RNG was extremely cruel, I am officially in war with the Trollstore. Prepared of taking some casualties.

I actually do this on occasions: specifically, if the second pizza spawns close to the drop point and the route is clear, I will bunker down and try to hold the drop zone, in order to ensure a speedy delivery. I try to make bad guys sit in cover, or get their attention and kite them away though, I avoid killing them if I can. It mostly happens on Glacier.
High: finally got the Garrus shot! Three kills with one bullet. Don't know if the third one died of a heart attack though.
Higher: got it by killing a pyro and two dragoons. That felt really good. ![]()
Low: now the bar for sniping has been raised ![]()

I'm with HamleticTortoise on this one, especially on Glacier, though Giant springs to mind as well. Admittedly, I'm usually either carrying or directly shielding the carrier, but if for example I've just delivered the first pizza and the second is on the opposite side of the map, keeping the dropzone clear is the logical thing to do, as long as you understand the importance of kiting and drawing aggro rather than killing, at least until your teammate is in sight.
(Edit: I realise it doesn't sound like that was the case in the match you were talking about. It was probably one of those really annoying examples of play which includes inappropriate missiles during the objective waves, and they were more likely to be just score-hooring.)

High: hosted a Cerberus/White/Gold game with my smashdept. Was joined by hostaman, who I believe is(or at least, used to) hanging around here? His brophoon juggy and me laid waste, until we were joined by two pugs, vorsol and tsab. Good time was had by everybody who was not(presently) Cerberus. But mostly me
I forgot how much I love this guy.
Low: everything went stellar until wave seven, when I was smashing engineer who was just climbing the ladder, when the PS3 decided to take a crap on me... again.
**** you kindly, PS3. You are slowly but surely wearing out your welcome with antics like that. And when you finally meet the outside world via the broken window, that will be the end of my MP3MP career. For sure, because I'm not going through all this shite again.
Was he still wearing the Grunt banner? Good player.
As for your PS3 woes, you know we all feel your pain. That said, I've had less than a quarter of the freezes I was having with Fallout since returning from the vault, which is mind-boggling to say the least.

Don't remember what banner he had, to be honest.
As for the game itself... tried the same setup as yesterday, was joined by couple of pugs and we actually managed to finish today. It took a little over half an hour, but hey, we finished. Next game, I set Cerberus/Glacier and get joined by vorcha sentinel. Halfway into the second wave... disconnect.
Honestly, I'm not sure why I even bother with this game anymore. Yeah, it's so much fun, but lately, I get the feeling the frustration overweights the fun.

The thing that winds me up the most about disconnects is the loss of consumables. (It's one of the reasons why playing Silver without consumables can actually be preferable at times if you don't really need or care about the credits.) If they don't revise that for Andromeda I will be some distance beyond disappointed.

Playing essentially nothing but Battlefront for the better part of 2.5 months and not having a single disconnect or experiencing any blatantly gamebreaking bugs like Collector lolmemleak crashes even though it's a 2 month vs a 4 year old game has really reminded me how much nonsense you have to put up with to fight the rippaz......
but then I remember it has quarians and is therefore totally worth it.

High: played a game with TheTechnoTurian
- we ended up on White / Collectors / Gold. TTT played the AJA and I contributed with the Human Adept. We got a lot of Biotic Explosions ![]()
Low: TTT got picked up by a crab during Extraction ![]()
High: later on I played the Turian Soldier with the mighty Hurricane 1 and I topscored with him (on Gold) and nobody accused me of cheating.
Low: had to run to the ammo boxes a lot.

Low: Last slot in the lobby was taken by an AIU/lolReegar with lv4 consumables.
High: Said AIU proceeded to run off on her own and drop within 20 seconds.
Higher: Faction rolled Collectors. Got ten more waves of explosions and charred sexbot. Fun match. For me, at least.
(Yeah, I picked her back up afterwards.)

Low: Condor. Invincible enemies, check. Not able to take cover, check. A miraculous disappearing objective that didn't work? check. Three waves of that and it is joining Rio on my list of maps to instantly rage quit.

High: Did some themed duo's with TMB last weekend. Good times. First match was Drellgods vs Reapers (rolled Glacier). The Reapers didn't stand a chance.
It's kinda funny as when I host, grab 3 random teammates, use a Drellgod and it is pre-set Reapers, that is normally one of my typically highest scoring set-ups in the game. i could only kind of keep up to TMB's off-host Drellgod .. dude knows his way around the Drell TBH
Low: As easy as that first game was, the last game fell on the opposite end of the spectrum. We used Vorcha Sentinels vs Cerberus and rolled London. Certainly not ideal for our kits.
I mean this from every ounce of my being - F U Cerberus! To me, they are clearly the hardest faction in the game (for Gold). yes, I know the Collectors have more defense value, yes their mook units inflict more damage, but they don't have Phantom posse's, troll turrets, or Dragoons which push you into tactically disadvantageous situations. Fvck them! We still extracted after a challenging match. GGs

a bit low : failed my favorite plat solo so far for 3 sec. WTF with the speed of that revive circle when u mashed it since begining ! I had no idea ! thought it was a win ![]()
high : fat turians plays with techno was a good medication
higher: got stuck inside a rock on condor for 3 waves, nothing wkd to get out before extraction, where i managed to respawn. Perfect excuse for not contributing to the challenge "150 shotgun kills", cause the dreamteam was here with me (muahmuah, clusum and gerbil). Felt like Guivarch (ok maybe Dugarry) at the world cup 98.

I quite agree, and they surely lead to the most messy games in PUGs. Wave 7 alone is sometimes a disaster. inb4 Venom / Scorpion / Acolyte, I rarely use those weapons.

Very true. too many times I land in a newer players lobby and they have a pre-set Cerberus because they think it's the easiest faction.
Wave 10 Cerberus Gold is the toughest objective wave for Gold and below (and, quite frankly, tougher than many Plat objective waves).
Many moons ago I sent a message to one of these newer players to let them know that Cerberus was the toughest and the Reapers were the easiest. They responded by telling me I didn't know what I was talking about and that Reapers were way tougher because they were "continually having to run away from the Brutes and Banshees"

I hear you, I'm always surprised when I see inexperienced / low manifest players preseting to Cerberus, what happens quite frequently. I'm often tempted to send a message saying something like that "Cerberus ? Are you sure ? Because dealing with multiple on-host Phantoms with a Phalanx 5 seems pretty painful to me".
I quite understand that the tall, screaming and charging Banshees are more impressive than little space ninjas for new players but guys, don't forget : it's not the size which matters.

I suspect this has something to do with the fact that Cerberus goes from being probably the easiest faction on Silver, to being the most difficult/annoying/tricky faction on Gold - that wave 7 alone is dreadful, especially with a shaky team.
Most players making the jump from Silver are used to only having to deal with one sync killer at a time for most of the match; I guess one Banshee does put more pressure than one Phantom, who will sit in cover and give you time to regroup. It's when you start having two (or more) of them to deal with, that Phantoms become a real problem (that palm blaster), a lot more so when dragoons do the pushing (a million times more effective than brutes), and turrets are the ones punishing hasty moves. And four Phantoms are just ![]()
Meanwhile, double Banshees are annoying to your ears, but not really that much more difficult to deal with than single ones, in that your strategy for dealing with them remains pretty much the same - their lack of long range capabilities makes them a non-factor damage wise.
