[Marksmad is waving goodbye]

I trust your expertise on the matter Dr Marksmad, but not this time ! The guy was level 1 and apparently hadn't put any point into stickies yet. That's a bug I've had quite a good number of times actually, with various lobbies. I'm not sure what are the conditions to get it.

 

A few times I got the door stuck midway. It happened once when I was playing a volus, and so I was the only one who could enter into the reactor from that side. One of the few advantage to be of little size !     

Interesting. Could it be that you shield boosted as the door was activating or deactivating? Did someone have a projectile weapon?

 

I bet that scurb was spamming the lolHoming Shot like all the other noobs   .

The Empire does not generally offer comment to the media on matters of battle strategy.

Highlight: Partnered up with Deerber to eliminate many rebel scum! Also, he won the award for player with the most explosive damage. Even when not a Drell, he loves throwing those nades!

God, I love not giving a **** about how many times I die in a match on an open map, just bouncing around with the jetpack and shooting guys in the face... Cause just a single one-shot makes it totally worth it

Besides, I didn't notice many people spamming homing shot... Mostly because it seems to suck a bit, it's too slow. But maybe it's different on console, I don't know. Aren't you gonna buy a PC any of these days?

For the game with the Justiciar I was using the Scorpion, so yes, a projectile weapon. For the game with the volus it was a long time ago so I don't remember the details.

Try using the CA-87 with Focus Fire or Explosive Shot on those open maps. You won't be the one dying a lot .

Focus fire makes it fire all the pellets as a single slug while it is active. Kills in one hit to the body to about 20m or so, and works kind of like a semiautomatic rifle after that.  

Explosive Shot is pretty self explanatory: Explosions. It adds a flat 10 damage per pellet, meaning the shot is basically twice as powerful while also having a pretty big AOE, making it more effective at midrange as well by virtue of requiring less pellets to hit. As a side effect you get some funny ragdolls . It kills bullet sponge heroes better than pretty much anything, too, provided you can get pretty close.

Shield could probably work with it to help you get in range, but I've never really tried that combo. I'm usually the one busting shield users with the Cycler rifle  . Another fun setup with it is to use smoke grenades and scan pulse. You throw the smoke at a group of enemies to get close, scan them so they get highlighted, then walk/jump into the cloud and blow all their heads off while they can't see you.

If you want a sniper that doesn't suck for close range, try the aforementioned Cycler when you get it. It kills in a single hit to the body out to 10m. Otherwise, you can hipfire the Pulse Cannon, but the charge makes you move slowly for a second, so its better in a defensive situation.

I second that emotion. Worth it just for the ability to play the console specific games like The Last of Us (2?) and the Uncharted series. Just factor in the cost of a long cable to charge your controller, which is pretty good otherwise.

 

I do kinda have to start thinking about getting a PC, which stresses me immensely as I'm incompatible with the dark arts others embrace with vigor. I appear to be programmed using a different, more analogue code, and I'm like King Midas in reverse, or the guy in the Skittles ad. Every time I buy modern tech, some part of some aspect of it will be incompatible with some other part of something else. And it breaks.

High:  Finally carved out some more time to play yesterday!

 

Low:  Super laggy game.  You can't play as aggressively as you might like with the Drell Adept if there's significant lag.  If you have three Reaved enemies in front of you and you throw a Cluster Grenade, you will have zero enemies in front of you in a split second.  But Drell who decide to pump fake a few times instead of throwing grenades in the same situation end up  I'M DOWN!

How is the new Battlefront btw? I've heard its even more cheesy than Battlefield 4, especially a lot on the grenade spam. Also from what little gameplay I've seen, it seems really easy to get a high kill ratio by using the AT-ATs and spawn blasting the rebel scum. I have to admit though, force choking someone as Vader is pretty epic!

Grenade/explosive spam was pretty bad for the first month or so if you didn't use traits specifically to counter them (bodyguard) but they lengthened the cooldowns and nerfed some of the worst offenders (Impact grenade, Barrage and Bowcaster), and now it's a non issue. Bodyguard trait practically makes you invincible to explosives now, which is pretty funny to just stand on top of a grenade or sprint into a homing rocket only to have it merely make you flinch.

AT-AT's are a mixed bag. Get the it at the right moment and you'll rack up 30 kills. Get it at the wrong one and you'll spend your entire 60 seconds ineffectually sniping from a mile away or waiting for it to round a tree or a cliff so you can aim at anything. I suppose you could learn the pickup locations and camp them all game if all you cared about was K/D, but that's incredibly boring, doesn't really help you win, and they often spawn in Rebel territory making this a nonviable strategy, anyway.

Hmm.. yes I had seen a lot of the footage back when it first launched and it seemed like an explosion fest then. Also a lot of things like the At AT/ST or the turbo lasers seemed way too powerful with almost no risk. I remember seeing this uploader just sit in his spawn and rack up kills continuously with the laser! Also I remember seeing the explosive rounds you mentioned and they'd seemed so strong it was funny. I also felt like the rebels were hopelessly outmatched as well although that's probably patched now. 

                               It does look like a lot of fun though and knowing Dice, they'll probaly patch most of the too op stuff. I was thinking of getting it on the pc perhaps later on.

BAD:

 

I got ninja'd into a Platinum game (Collectors-Jade) yesterday. I had speccd a Turian Havoc for UUG (with melee equipment and Hurricane) which does extremely well on Gold. I noticed the 'Platinum' in the lobby at the last possible moment so I thought I'd stick around.

 

Luckily, there were two other 30k+ CP points players on the team so they carried us to completing the objective on wave 10. I have never felt as useless in ME3MP as I did in that match. My only significant contribution to that game was missile launching my way carrying the pizza to the landing zone on wave 6.

 

GOOD:

 

I discovered the awesomeness of the Krysae. The only other time I've used it was on infiltrators because it didn't have a good reputation around here. Yesterday, I slapped it on the QFE (v Gold Geth), HFE (v Gold Cerberus), HFA (v Gold Geth). Top scored every single game. It's a lot of fun to use.

Low: Couldn't clutch wave 6 Collectors on Hazard Ghost, (I console myself with the fact it probably would've froze anyway with that combo ). Made a rookie mistake while trying to get a Praetorian to land, backed myself against one of those damn table things in one the shacks and got grabbed.

 

High: Went on a spending spree and got several UR's in the first 2 million credits.  Finally got my Hurricane to VI (it'd been sitting at V for what seems like AGES), Black Widow IV and V, Saber VI and VII,  and best of all, my N7 Eagle is now at X.

 

Figured I was due though, had been a long famine at the store.

Thx! Not my favourite, but still has a special place in my heart as I got it on the gift pack along with the Turian Sentinel, and that's what I played the most in my early bronze days  .
