1st was some guy a friend of mine invited into a game one time, can't remember his name. But, I would.remember his voice. 100k+ CP, and good player, but got really rude with me and my other friend over some silly stuff. Had to leave after the game, guy was insufferable. The only guy that has ever been invited to a private lobby that pissed me off.

The only reasons I didn't tell the dude GFY is 1) I'm gutless, 2) i wasnt nearly drunk enough and 3) my friend who invited him is someone I really like and team up with quite a bit.

Guys, sometimes this thread drifts a little off topic here and there, but it's best all round if it doesn't drift into stuff that will get it mod-locked.

 

I'm concerned that slagging off a player by name is running the risk, because it's a possible violation of the site rules.

 

So my suggestion is that we take it that the point has been adequately made, and return to fairly on topic posts. Is that cool with everyone?

High: Few easy and enjoyable games with friend who didn't played for a while.

Higher High: We survived Gold London ws Collectors with two scrubs. (one of them was decent tho)

Low: Few mistakes here and there.

High: Took the Saber Quarksman for a spin for my last game for the day. Ghost/Reapers/Massive lag. I end up with 1123 consumables on wave 10 hack at the LZ. PUGs being what they are camp out the hack and use only 1 or 2 missiles before giving up (they still had some). With more than a third of the hack left, I'm of course the last man standing and do the catch-me-if-you-can thing. Naturally, the Primes are f*cking cheaters so I lose a gel and an ops pack, and I even get grabbed by a Banshee (again miscalculated distance because of lag). Ravager steals the kill, so I get up, use my last missile and finish the hack exactly at 0:00 time.

 

Low: I now have to cross the open space between the LZ hack and the prefabs which is under fire from 2 Primes, 3 drones and 2 Ravagers and I have no ops-packs left...

High: Had some tremendous golds on Wii U today.  Met some really awesome players in that lobby on voice chat too.  It's been a while since I've seen a gold wave be cleared under a minute.  Awesome fun.

 

Low: Someone started downloading stuff off my internet so the Turian match I wanted to dedicate to TechnoTurian became a laggy mess.

High:  With the help from fellow BSNr's  Sinful....Spectrepierogi....Czeuch  & Nico_Wolf....a few golds & them dragging me kicking & screaming into platinum last night...with those successful missions  I unlocked the raider   ,,,the collector adept...the shadow....and the volus engee along with the very much needed smg recoil mod.....thanks guys...I appreciate your help.

It was more like we guys were dragging me
But those games were awesome. I even took confidence to PUG plat when no friend is available.

And having the responsibility to finish wave 1 on my first real plat was interesting to say the least. I had help from you guys over the mic

High: Suitrats FTW with the Master. I even did a little dance while devices were being capped. 

 

Low: One Collectors freeze with 30 seconds to go (though QMR made it out). Other games laggy as all hell, rubberbanding, the works. Last game for some unknown reason I decided to take the Kishock on my QFI. Scored 55k while I waded through mud on Dagger Hazard. Got 10 Revives though, so at least I helped.

Highs:

 

Wrecked stuff with the Phoenix Vanguard. Smashing two Banshees to death at once, while staring them in the face at point blank? This is the adrenaline rush that I return to the MP for. I wish there were more instances of multiple Phoenixes in my matches.

 

Cleaned house with the Shadow equipped with a Crusader. Light melee'd a couple of Primes and even an Atlas to death.

 

Lows:

 

Got my PS3 frozen while beating the Collectors senseless with my Smashguard. I think the Vanguards cause the systems to implode or some such.

High: Easily got some platinum matches on Wii U today.

 

Low: Getting crushed by Platinum matches today. LOL.

Low:was in a PUG plat with other 2, one of them a decent guys and other less experienced than me. So I actually had to kill stuff as well and I could feel the pressure and stress of a plat. But that's not the low part. I got stabbed right after gel by a phantom and I wanted to send a msg to the host to comment on this shitty thing when my ps3 freezes because the XMB is too much for it. Chat and msgs make it freeze.

High: I PUG for another back when I'm back and I join GIP with the same guy but this time with a team of 4 and we actually made it.

We did collectors yesterday in AHF lobby, again, no probs.
If u kill fast enuf with a full lobby, (and wash up the swarmer dishes @ same time), there "is" no time for memleaks.

Well, as someone who actually did completely brick an old PS3, I generally avoid Collectors. My freeze last night was the first I've had in a very long time. But at a rough estimate I'd say I survived roughly 20 games without it happening, because I always nuke the double crabs, and will usually be playing with someone who also knows to do so. The fact that I arrived halfway through my most recent game would point towards Sinful's opinion that players joining mid-game adds to memory leak issues. In this case the host only suffered serious frame loss, but I froze.

 

(Edit: In light of czeuch's post below, it might also be worthing noting that I had popped out of the game to send a 'omw' message. I share the view that popping in and out to chatrooms and the like greatly increases problems, and that's pretty much the only reason I tend not to venture into the AHF chatroom.)

 

As QMR noted to me, it's no fun losing Gold credits when you're building a new manifest, so I should also add that we played against preset enemies for a few games afterwards, but were trolled by getting Ghost Hazard twice and Dagger Hazard to finish off, so restarts were needed anyway. LolPS3, right?!

High:  Night before last..I unlocked the CollectDept ...decided to re-aquaint myself with this character after not using him in over a year.. the results: 2 LOL DarkSphere Kill Streaks  .....silver is still fun.

After countless freezes in the last months aí found put that the biggest villain is the PS3 menu, mainly chat and messages. I cam PUG anything for 6 hours in a row but I can't play with friends for 2 hours without at least one freeze.
