I mentioned jokingly in another lol romance thread that I'm just waiting for them to evolve into can I romance X BSN poster, biower pls. Didn't expect anyone to run with that, but one of our own did. Beautiful train wreck of a thread there Arishok! xD

high/low...this is weird..last night I was using the vanilla krosent with graal..... 1 game..i set up to go full melee but i never meleed anything all i did was fire the graal..the next..i went with full shotgun consumables and all i did that match was melee everything..... weird.

Low: No , quite the opposite, I'm afraid. Anybody (minding their own business) sitting in the same room as u lot criminals are hit by cluster bombs of threats, blocks and bans and other atrocities known to mankind.. Think "collateral" damage.

Honestly, it was you and Lady Artifice that gave me the idea.  I saw you both make mention of it.

 

I didn't quite think it was going to go that way though.  Lesson learned.  I now know I have some things I need to alter with my postings.

Highlight of the session from last night:   A bunch of us were in a lobby, talking about random stuff and what characters/maps we wanted to play....I was using my mic..i forgot who exactly was on, in that game.......it was sinful & i wanted to say arkhne  ...when my brother walked into my room and announced he was leaving to go have sex with one of his ex-girlfriends and was curious as to what my plans were for the evening......who me?  mmmmm.....well, i had planned out a nice evening of wasting aliens....the lobby was dying laughing. sinful pointed out the listening range on the blu-tooth is quite extensive...thanks buddy.

 

low/high....i cant remember how many times i bottom scored with all the ps3 bsnrs last night...sometimes I barely cracked 60k....which blew my mind...I was trying really hard guys...there was just nothing for me to kill...don't worry,,i will handle all of these swarmers and seeker swarms.

Also the collector zapper gun is actually good at X. Last time I touched it was at III. Gooified many phantoms.

 

Which one. To complete the Retaliation banner, I put the CSMG III and the CSR X on my Huntress in successive games. At the end of both, I got the feeling she wanted to slap me. Thankfully, the CSMG challenge is done. I don't know what to do about the other turd. It's at 60k/140k.

 

Thinking about putting it on my SP spamming Juggy.

High:

 

- I have had two consecutive games with the Warlord not getting synced. With one of those on Platinum. w00t.

 

- Tried out the Saber Quarksman. Amazing gun, but a poor version of the Turian Marksman. There are perks though, like dodging, getting a turret to kill its engineer etc. I think I'll use the ADAS when the enemy is preset to Geth.

 

- I now have all alien banners except Retaliation and Blood Pack. The BP characters are amazing and not the jokes I thought them to be earlier. The biggest surprise is the Krogan Sentinel. I don't know if it's the Crusader III that's carrying him or him carrying the gun (or me getting carried by PUGs), but he's very effective on Platinum. I always considered Incinerate and Lift Grenades to be not that flashy and dangerous, but they shut down Phantoms like a charm.

 

Low:

 

- While I only have a couple of extractions left with the Turian Ghost, I have a choice between completing the CSR challenge or 5 more extractions with the Volus Engineer. I don't think I'm going to force myself to do any of them. If it happens, it happens.

Really?  Those are two of my favorite weapons!  I've never tried them on the Huntress, but I feel like that is not the ideal kit to use them on.  I guess the CSMG with Warp ammo would be OK, but I really can't see the CSR on the Huntress.
If you want my recommendations on how to use them:

 

I use the CSMG on classes that like incendiary/cryo/disruptor ammo as primers, and one of their powers as a detonator.  It's accurate enough to make mid-long range headshots reasonably easy to take out smaller targets.  The RoF makes it awesome for applying ammo effects, and it's more than light enough to make power spamming for rapid explosions a simple matter on bosses.  My favorite being Incendiary ammo with the Vorcha Hunter.  Shoot, Incinerate, Boom.  Use the net to stop those pesky shielded mooks if needed, or to prime shielded bosses for tech bursts.  Cryo-Soldier would be my second choice for it, but I prefer the Lancer there.  (Though that may just be for thematic reasons )

 

The CSR is the only weapon I will use on the Salarian Infiltrator.  Think of it as semi-auto, rather than the automatic that it actually is.  Cloak, Shoot, Energy Drain (Boom!), Shoot.  Repeat.  Just keep the first shot quick - you want to have enough time to use ED before the cloak effect wears off.  Make sure you keep it in short bursts - you don't want to empty the clip.  With practice, you will get the hang of how long you can hold the trigger without running it empty.  The gun itself really packs a pretty good punch, and with incendiary or disruptor ammo and the sniper boosting evo of cloak, you can burn armor or shields/barriers down in no time once you get the hang of taking longer shots without running it dry.

Yeah, Huntress was probably the wrong kit to use CSR on but she's my easy mode kit. I thought putting two uncomfortable weapons on her wouldn't frustrate me.

 

I try and do short bursts with the CSR, but the main issue with it is the insane zoom (seems even more magnified than the Indra). I might put the look through smoke scope on it to reduce that zoom (if it does that).

 

CSMG, well, half of my attention is at that ammo counter and off-host. Ugh. Maybe I can make it work for me yet.

^At 3 the CSMG isn't great, the clip is too low. This problem is aggravated by the inferior damage per bullet. At 10 it's quite a good weapon, with significantly less dps than the Hurricane but way less recoil and much better accuracy, what leads to easier headshots. It becomes an excellent choice on the Collector adept, notably.

As for the CSMG, I'm currently using mine at IV on a GE - with Incendiary ammo and a turret. The first time I used it I ran out of ammo every wave and popped every ops pack, but since I've started tapping it like the CSR I've had no problems at all. And generally destroyed everything in front of me. I believe the term Sinful would use is 'OP'. 

 

Your comments on the Bloodpack characters have been noted and mentally filed away in case I ever run into you. The Krentinel isn't my favourite character for nothing.

I just respecced my Krentinel 56663, such a powerhouse character, my fastest bronze solo is also with him. I've gone through phases in this game, and he has stayed with me through them all. First, I was in love with Lift Grenades and Tech Armour, that lasted a long time, and I ran him without Incinerate with the Harrier and Reegar for a long time, he was my main character, too. Then I became disenchanted with Lift Grenades and specced out of them, and gave him Lancer and Valiant (I know, blasphemy, no Shotgun, and a Sniper at that!) and detonated Incendiary Ammo. Then Back to Lift Grenades as I started using Grenades again. Then I missed reliable detonations, which led me to my current build, with Hurricane and Lancer. He is a force to be reckoned with. Not only that, but he is a versatile character, one of the best in the game for sure. Most of the "better" characters don't have his versatility either, so much love for the Krentinel.

 

TL;DR: Krentinel is awesome. Play him. Play him now. Play him and love him.

After reading your post you can picture me as Farmer Fran, the nipple ring guy at the end of The Waterboy. 

 

Everything you say about his versatility is true - I've tried just about every build imaginable, and they all work. If you don't care about lore you can put literally anything on him, but I'm at the stage now where the High Lord is the only gun I feel is truly worthy of holding his Omniblade.  I always go full melee on Krogans, and he's no exception, even though I don't even have a feckin Omniblade yet on my currently active a/c, where I think I'm going 5/6/5/4/6 and still attempting to melee all the things.

So do you folks who go CSMG with your ACAs use/spam DC to break up the clip consumption?  If I don't have a spam-worthy power to break up the stream of fire (Cryo Blast, Overload, Throw, Conc Shot, etc), it's frustrating empty-clip misery for me...even at higher levels.

 

I think I used the CSMG for the very first time when it was at level II on my ACA (who I use more for the sustained pain + sustained fire).  Horrible mistake.  Spent the match walking around FB Condor as a pretend choo-choo train.

 

Tried it again on my FQE at level IV, and it was a perfect match.  Slap on some zap ammo clips, paste it on at 800 rpm, break up the fire with CBs + Incs, and watch her expertly rack up TBs, FEs, and CEs...like a true masterful Engineer should.
