Claymoar DESERVES its love, it is a sweet boomstick of destruction. Reegar deserves both the love and hate it gets. But Harrier? Not deserving of any accolade beyond AmmoLess-MookKiller. Lancer is 10 times the gun the Harrier will ever be.

 

 

 

I haven't tried it on her yet, usually just give her the Valiant (VS Geth) or the Widow. Been pondering the Kishock lately, but Lancer could be even better.

If I'm playing Gold or Platinum, I always slap on some AP ammo just for the fun of it. It's good at sustained fire. I always have the magazine upgrade and the recoil mod when I use it. Because I figure more rounds + more accuracy = awesome.

 

I also like using the Particle Rifle with the QFI. That's fun too.

Once I got used to the recoil of the Lancer, I found it more effective to skip the dampener. It's such a great gun that I always just want the maximum effectiveness out of it so it can truly shine.

To hell with score, If I'm playing against toasters, I will nuke on literally any wave that has double Primes....

Or a single prime that annoys me enough.....

or a Rocket Cheater......
or a Hunter/Bomber scumbag stun squad......
or a pyro and its invisible flames from a mile away......
or a single trooper and its not-People's elbow......
or a swarmer because I don't like the way it looked at me while stuck on that railing......
along with any other enemies unfortunate enough to dare to exist in a game where I get the blood RAEG......

I rarely make w11 with any missiles left, tho (or even w2, for that matter).

Sadly, I don't have the money to spend on a console to be honest, nor on the TV I'd need for it. I'm afraid the only chance that I can play with any of you consolers is if you get a PC :/ You're definitely not the only one I'd really like to get some games in, you know. So many great people I can't play with

I totally understand. Why do you think I use a junky laptop with a broken screen as a desktop? I get better framerate playing on PS3 against Collectors than I would on PC Also, I can't mouse aim, I could barely hit things with powers, let alone guns, on PC in ME2.

Trying to gel someone several paces away but for lag which made me think I was running to him but as it turned out I rubber banded (or seemed to, I don't know how it would look like to other players) back to my original spot. Of course the player would think I'm a A-H for not geling him standing so near. Didn't help either when things went bouncy trying to do objectives, obliged to stay at one spot. Treadmilling.

Don't hate yourself like that, just quit. Lag is for wimps. I now host, or don't play, too sick of EA's useless netcode. Nothing works properly off host, even when it doesn't seem like it is lagging. Lag is just the fitting icing on a cr*pcake.

High: I came out of retirement for one last job a few games with Brannigan.

 

Low: Super rusty at this game.

 

High: Managed not to embarrass myself. (I guess that's a high?)

 

Low/High: Drell Adept on Jade vs. Collectors, Brannigan was the Asari Adept, we got overrun during a Hack and had to use a ton of Missiles and Gels, but we survived.

It's funny I've always been trash at using this kit and died a lot. And then given a couple of years investing more time in other kits just makes me suddenly better kits that I'm terrible at such as the human engineer.

 

And because I love using the human engineer so much I tried to implement the same style with my shepard engineer in the SP

Got the band back together for a few games, me / Brannigan / ctc91 / Drake.

 

High: All biotics vs. Geth on Glacier, Gold. We managed two non-missile killstreaks. Watching Primes die in literally seconds due to a combination of Reave / Warp / Annihilation Field / Lift Grenade / Cluster Grenade.

 

High: Mostly tech vs. Reapers on London, Gold. Not quite the efficient murder-fest of the previous game but still pretty damn fast.

 

Low: Got one of the center Hacks.

 

High: Survived it.

 

P.S. Guys, I think we might be a little OP for Gold.

That is absolutely true, it takes a little more effort or skill with the engineer in my experience, but both can be beasts on lower or higher difficulties.

The No-Passive Distract-And-Explode build (Works great with some of the stupidly light UR weapons).... And, due to URs being OP as hell, there's always a weapon-based variant available (Though, Human Sentinel is still one of the best weapons platforms in the game, imho).

I know I didn't play them early because I was chasing wave challenges, but noobs have no clue how good they could be if they could L2P those play the engie and adept. I'm a scrub and scores mean little, but far and away the highest 2 games I've had on plat were with those 2.

Agreed. Drone is awesome, and has a few different variants as well. I must admit to playing VolSent more than HumEngie though. I'm thinking I should take more Shields on my Drone though, as playing on Plat, the thing dies pretty quick.

I don't see the Drone dying quickly as a disadvantage. With 4b, 5a, 6b, combined with Chain Overload, Area Incinerate and a lightish gun, Drone re-cast time is a measly 1.7 seconds or so, so it rarely if ever interrupts your other combos. The sooner it explodes, the better, as it should hopefully be surrounded by toasters at the time. Boosting Shields on the Drone would only ever make sense if selecting 6a which, unlike the QFE's Turret, is much more prone to wasted shots into walls. I just can't turn down the stun option on rank 5, especially given those other choices.

 

HE/Indra with that Drone was my go-to Plat kit for a while. It's quite obscene with the livelier ammo choices, especially when the Geth are around. I would have gone 66644 back then but would absolutely recommend 66660 if you have Cyclonics to spare. My female is specced for Gold as 66644 without a Cyclonic, and I switch between Cryo Falcon/Adas or Locust/Executioner Pistol, or just a Carnifex sometimes. The Adept is probably the (even) more powerful of the two, but I can make the Engineer work better.
