Highpoints: Great games today, including a great Biotic game on Condor with Mordokai, notable for my obligatory Banshee-grab, caused by a moment's hesitation when I found myself confronting the wave 5 spawn. To nuke or not to nuke? 'To nuke' was the answer, but sadly that moment's hesitation cost me.
Later I was playing a Paladin (with a Paladin, dawg) in a duo with a Puggernaut on Dagger, which was so ridiculously easy I didn't realise it was a duo until I took a quick break on wave 9 to reply to stephenw32768, telling him I'd join him soon.
When I landed Stephen was a TSent and Mordokai a TSol. I swapped over to a THavoc, but then changed my mind and went for a Sentinel, just as the 4th arrival (AceRob09) switched over to one as well. Off to Condor we went, and many, many Reapers died in a hail of bullets. It was quite glorious at times, even the bit where I 'died' during the sync animation, or when I was watching Stephen ambling his way to a certain death down near the LZ where a crew of Marauders were still a few seconds away from a chain-Overload surprise. Great fun, although it is with some sadness that I must report the loss in battle of our esteemed Soldier Brother-in-Arms Mordokai, whose inability to move sideways at speed cost him dearly on extraction wave. He gave his all, no (moonlighting) Turian could ask for more.
But the best thing of all? The credits we earned unlocked a
VENOM X
Now, while all this was happening I was getting messages from q5tyhj suggesting we 'go headbutting stuff', but I was already getting seven shades of real life grief as I was supposed to be cooking. Or something. I dunno. Don't these people know there's a Reaper invasion?!? So, having seen his comment in another thread, it's fair to say that if I do make it back on later, my Sexbot is gonna be packing some aggro......
Lowpoint: After writing all that it seems inappropriate to attempt to sound sombre, but seriously, Leonard Nimoy, RIP. My imagination is constructed the way it is because of the influence of Star Trek during my childhood, and my dependence on logic inspired by its greatest character.
