Yeah that's not a shortcoming of the gun, rather a shortcoming of how you spec your SI.  Energy Drain is of course great vs Geth, but you really should have Proxy Mine vs all other factions.  This is regardless of which SR you are packing.

 

This pretty much. In the long run of a match, PM will be far more useful to you than fitness. Aside from debuffing enemies, it also provides you with some CC.

I was there, he is not exaggerating. PS3 Banshees confound him. Us PS3 Vets have come to accept that Banshees do weird sh*t and avoid them like the plague, nuke them, or utterly destroy them. They do not play fair, why should we?

I started drinking a little early 2nite... I found myself checking out the andromeda section  ( cuz you guys have been trying to get me over there for the past few weeks)  ...I posted a few responses in some of their threads...and UUUUGGGGHHHHHHH... They creep me out a little... (  Hardcore Single Player campaign people.. are "different"...that being my nice word........I peeked into a few of the "romance" threads...yuck. )

 

High:  I WILL NOT BE HOSTING 1 SINGLE CERBERUS GAME TONIGHT.

 

 

 

 

BONUS sentence:  I love reading your guys' responses to all of the stuff in the andromeda section.. I am laughing pretty hard right now.

BW is overrated.  I'd rather CSR or Widow or Javelin or Arc Pistol.  Mind you, the Valiant just feels like an underpowered BW to me, so... maybe I'm just not a sniper.

 

Um... on topic:

 

High: Learning to N7 Paladin!  I can tell that I'm not playing him properly yet, but I can also already feel his (as yet unlocked by me) potential.  The shield is fun to use when I can get into melee without dying on the way.  Shield bashing phantoms is pretty satisfying.

As for Valiant, you could look at it like that, but it has a lot of factors in its favor that IMO make it superior to the BW.  Namely fast refire, fast reload (with a 0.0000000003 faster reload cancel if you're hardcore), good ammo capacity, lightweight, any individual shot is not earth-shatteringly important, and with proper setups, is still powerful enough to Cloak > Energy Drain/Proxy Mine > Headshot 1HK mooks (with Disruptor or Phasic Ammo).  The caveat is that you have to be good at headshots, because unlike a similar setup with a BW, the Valiant will not reward bodyshots with a 1HK.  When I play Valiant, I never stop firing.  My kit is essentially a mobile Valiant Turret.

 

That said, CSR is more fun because space laz0rz

I had a amateur N7 shadow join me, yummy, and nightman...

 

Their fashion sense had my gagging. They couldn't one shot a combat engineer with SS.

 

They used a cyclonic 4 on her...*shivers* and they used a Geth Plasma SMG.

High: escaped a Brute's sync by nova canceling, didn't even know it was possible. Charged it, didn't stagger it, decided to nova-cancel my way out; the brute picked me up, lifted me above its head... and then just gently placed me back on the floor, a confused look on its face

 

Low: a few waves later, a Banshee decided to return the favour. She teleported behind me, I charged the closest ravager... halfway through the charge, I got magnetically pulled back to her... on host

 

High: ... she just swiped at me. I was so expecting a sync, I almost forgot to move away... almost

 

High: novaguard on-host. Such edge-of-your-seat gameplay

High: Playing ME3 again after a long long time. Claymoaring the crap out of everything and headbutting enthusiastically.

 

Low: 9 waves on a good host with nice teammates, but then Origin decided it was time to shut down my computer. Looks like EA has improved its trolling abilities even more, ah well ... nostalgia at its finest I suppose.

Lot of people in AHF chat tonight, but not many wanting to group up.

 

Had some good games with a non BSN friend of mine and Yummy. First game Giant Hazard - Collectors Tried to nuke Yummy, but the cyclonic modulator on her Marksman took it like a champ.  Still....later in the game I was able to get her anyways

 

Second game was Giant Hazard (again) vs Cerberus. Same crew, but we picked up Nightman for this game (nice playing with you).  It was pretty much a slaughter up until the wave 6 hack.  l watched Yummy with her Typhoon/Destroyer combo shooting through the wall and out into the map while hacking behind the desk....even killed an atlas before it made it to the ramp like that.  Officially impressed.  If I wasn't already in love she would be a keeper.

 

After that was Ghost Geth...honestly the games were going so fast/smooth that I can hardly remember this one.  It spawns. It dies.  That's really all there is to say.

 

High point was Yummy killing stuff though walls before it even got near the hack.

 

Low point......Don't see one.  Good people and good times.

 

Also had time for just a few games earlier today.  Played with Xan, mexx, max.  Slaughtered plat in those.  Last map was Reactor Hazard.....I was late to the other side of the map on wave 11 and they caught me in the Reactor!!!!  Thank the god child for Ops packs cuz I brushed that off real easy   I got pay back on one of them who took it like a man and didn't Ops, but it was so hectic I couldn't pay attention to who it was. I failed to make the extraction that last game because the X button does everything (was prob 5 steps away).  My fail and my bad.  GGs to you all as well!

 

High - catching someone in the reactor.

 

Low - getting caught in it myself AND failing the extract.  They should have kicked me

You haven't even experienced worst worst case scenario is giving me host, and me pre set map to firebase ghost hazard, faction to collectors on platinum, while I play the n7 fury and you play on my Australian potato internet 

 

And if I feel daring, set a random torrent download in the background for good measure too.

On a totally unrelated note, my "Finnish" host is quite good, come play Collectors on Reactor Hazard with me, we can have a barbeque.

High: Joined AHF for a few games yesterday and got some games in with the pro's. first lobby was Xan, Ark, and Mexximal .. star studded line up. We did a themed run.

 

Low: My lack of Claymore experience was exposed

 

High: All krogans with many many headbuts and backhands "Mrahahaha! they're dead!" fun times

 

Low: Supposed to get a 5 wave survived medal, which I pooched during wave 3 devices

 

High: Took a shot with the Claymore (had drill III) which killed 3 enemies in one shot. I'm starting to see the appeal ...

 

In all seriousness, that was fun. Ark had to go after the first game and was replaced by another good player (sorry forgot the name) but we bumped it up to Plat for a few matches .. poor enemies didn't stand a chance

I decided to play some LBP3 for therapeutic reasons because the ME3 servers are bad mkay

 

 

High: i managed to create a wonderful pod that matches the garden background, in combination with the gentle cyan fog and pod ambiance i was able to create a lovely relaxing pod that matches my pearl outfit. So I ended up creating a summer home for me to visit when the mass effect experience fails to deliver

 

Low: I was unable to figure out a way to make bangs on my pearl outfit using liara's headpiece. I will make this a separate costume, i will release it to the public soon.

 

High: i decided to use athena's hair not and white eyes, with the appropriate colors i was able to create goddess pearl. She looks fabulous. In combination with N7 Armour this will be my personal costume.

 

High: My earth looks pretty, the materials I used match the background of my pod very well, I have created a wonderful atmosphere.

I know the Harrier works particularly well because of the ammo help, but I get bored with it very quickly.

She has a nice figure... a very nice figure, in fact But despite her having arc nades, I never could get a hang of her. I've seen her played to devastating effect(by TTT, mind you), but I just can't get a hang of her.

 

I mostly attribute that to me being a scrub.

I use the Harrier on her for the reasons you stated. However, I would recommend the Venom and/or Hurricane. Both are great weapons that can clean up at close range (arc nade stagger to protect yourself), prime well, and benefit from pylon ammo. If you are feeling particularly frisky, a power magnifier can also be used.
