If my Lancer was at X, I wouldn't care.
Instead, I have guns I hate at level X. Scorpion, Valkyrie, Talon.
At least my Saber and Valiant are at X, so there is that.
I've had 2x double UR in 3 packs before. RNG Trollstore can be crazy sometimes. If the game gave a 1m credit pack that ALWAYS contained 1UR, 2x Gold Consumable, and 2x Silver Consumable, I would buy that. Eventhough it would be SLIGHTLY credit inefficient, I would feel better about it.

Tonight got Typhoon X and Valiant VII, which is funny because Valiant was first gun I got. I can understand the dislike for the Valkyrie, but the Talon and Scorpion? Those guns are nice IMHO. Scorpion just destroys Phantoms and Dragoons. Talon is an OP sniper shotgun, but I digress. And of course my favorite gun is my lowest, and that's the Saber at V.

High: Promoted infiltrator class, played through most of a match at level 1, had to clutch during wave 10 long enough to get credits (after everyone else just let themselves die). Pretty proud of that.

 

Low: People being dicks.

May i ask you how you use the Talon as a sniper shotgun? From hardcover or with a scope? Do you always go for head- or body shots out of cover?  I had a hard time using it with even with a GI on plat, even then i felt like the spread was  too big. I would almost always choose the arc pistol over it.

The Valkyrie is one of my favorite guns to use with a TGI off host together with the Argus (Not trying to be a hipster here, but the harrier is just too ammo hungry for me)  It really needs an IR scope and AP ammo to shine though for me though

I was over exaggerating the sniper aspect of my comment, but I almost always play in soft cover. About the only time I ever take hard cover is to slow DOT attacks. With the GI, I spec capacity and heavy barrel with AP ammo. I find that TC-PM and i am able to kill all non bosses in 3 or less shots regardless of distance. On casters, piercing mod and heavy barrel. I was knd of late to the party on the Talon GI, but I've done it a couple times lately on Plat and had success. And I am by no means anything more than slightly above average.
I do like the Valkyrie more than most on here seem to, just prefer Lancer on kits that I would possibly use it with it. I do like running it in the Havoc. And Arkhne did turn me onto the Argus Ghost and I like that way more than I thought. I hadn't used the Argus in forever until he told me to try it.

Argus is by no means OP, but that is part of the point. Game is kinda boring if you use OP Cheese on everything.

Argus is one of the most accurate ARs in PRACTICE, the recticle looks horrible, but the shots don't have much spread at all, so headshots are pretty easy with it.

 

As to the talon, it always felt... ineffective. I'd rather take the Piranha if I want a shotgun that isn't the Claymoar. If I STILL want a shotgun, but weight matters, I'd STILL take the Wraith, or even the Disciple, before I took the Talon. The spread is not great without using the Scope, and scopes suck. I even tried it on the GI, but Piranha is so much better on him.

 

Scorpion only counts as a sidearm for me due to lack of ammo, and as a sidearm, it's kind of heavy, and achieves much the same as the acolyte... only lacking the Shield modifier. Although, I do take it as a main gun on my incinerate-less stunlock Human Engineer. But how often do you see me play him?

 

However, we've already established that my taste in guns is worse than my taste in games, so my opinion is pretty pointless on this matter.

Also very close to unlocking my Earth and Biotic God banners. I meant to play Skyrim but I binged on MP instead, got a lot of challenges wrapped up this evening so um yay.

High-Took my drell vanguard while my brother was drell adept. He gets chased by a possessed a-bomb and intentionally tries to a-bomb himself but since he doesn't kill it fast enough it hugs him. Seeing this across the map I take it upon myself to "help." I biotic charge at it, crash into it and it explodes killing us both. I laugh. So did my brother.

High: Took my Krogan Vanguard puging around some Bronze games. Managed to high score for the first time. EVER. Then proceeded to do it twice more. My mighty Krogan lorded it over the lesser pugs for three whole games. I whipped their puny butts with my biotic charges and Raider-to-the-face melees. Now admittedly I think the KroVan might be a bit OP in bronze and I did sort of get a head start on the first game. Started alone with the first pug joining about wave 3. But I had a full lobby for the other two games so those are totally legit!

 

Low: Turns out I don't know to get a screen cap in me3mp. As the saying goes "pictures or it didn't happen". So as I didn't get any pictures of my mighty achievements I guess it was all a figment of my imagination.

THIS!! I read allot of posts and see allot of videos declaring that the talon is greatest pistol, then i take it and it feels just meh.

Hmmm... Talon is a brutal weapon, especially at close range. Its main advatage is that as a pistol, just like the acolyte, it's really easy to use. No need to be good at aiming. It really shines when you improve its accuracy and/or its rate of fire, making the Hunter Mod the perfect power to use with it. In my experience, the only ennemy that can get annoying to kill on higher difficulties are [on-host] phantoms, especially with AP or Drill rounds.

 

I think a lot of guns just have different optimal uses to them. Like acolyte only can be great if you have a flamer, some biotics or other powers but  it'd be a waste to put it on a TGI with no overload and no backup weapon. It's all about synergy with your kit/power/equipement and with your own skills.

 

Arc Pistol is the best pistol.

 

There are a lot of factors to consider, but I'd be enclined to agree, at least for higher difficulties. It's probably one of the most versatile pistol or even weapon. You can equip it on pretty much any kit and if your aim is okay you don't even need a backup weapon. It's good against shields , barriers, works fine on armor with AP or Drill and you can always use your equipement or powers to compensate this weakness. Once again for people that are more or less skilled at aiming it's a very good weapon, those headshot are NOT forgiving, even with kits specialized in power rather than weapon damage.

I think I stopped using it as much when platinum came, it lacks a bit of damage on that difficulty. So for partly nostalgic reason, this kit and weapon combination is my all time favourite !

 

The Carnifex (and the Widow) were the best weapons in the beta. Slap one on the Asari Adept and the other on the Salarian Infiltrator and you have a perfect team.

Nah sorry but it has to be the Vanilla Human Engineer, the Female to be even more precise. Hey I have very specific tastes.

High: I was crying last night (my eyes were getting super watered up) because I was so tired, luckily QMR was there to carry my tired ass. The 2 games were both sub 18mins. Oni was a disgrace to the Quarians with only 10 tech kills as a QME. 

 

Low: It took 5 games to get 140k with the GPR on UUG with my GE cause yummy was killing everything with her GI. I also got cannibalized trying to get my grab by an angry group of cannibals.

The Carnifex also works well on the QFI, but not as well as the mighty Lancer.
