Low point:  landed in a hacked game where the host Juggy had a Black Widow on full-auto with unlimited ammunition and can apparently shoot through several walls.  I stayed the full game as my Vorcha Sentinel can throw 100 nades at a time and it was amusing for a while.  I like modded games but this one was totally pointless as all boss units (the whole gang was there - Primes, Praetorians etc) can be OHK.

At the moment I am testing two builds:

1) Turain Saboteur Melee build with Venom

2) HMI Incendiary-Sticky build with Executioner pistol

 

For Turian I need Cerberus, for HMI I need Reapers.

Last few games with Turian were on Vancouver and Rio. AGAINST REAPERS. SERIOUSLY GAME? GAME, YOU DO REALIZE THAT MELEE DOES NOT HAVE SAME RAGE AS BIOTIC CHARGE? WHY DO YOU PUT ME IN A REAPER GAME, WHEN I ASKED TO GET ME CERBERUS? ONE THING! ONE THING I ASK YOU TO DO FOR ME, AND YOU FAIL ME. SHAME ON YOU!

Last few games with HMI were on White and Glacier. AGAINST CERBERUS. SERIOUSLY?! I ASKED FOR REAPERS THIS TIME. AND I WOULDN'T BE MAD IF YOU GOT ME COLLECTORS.

Highlight: Today I played ME3 on 3 different platforms using 4 different accounts.

 

Low point: None, it was all stupendously good

Highlight: I successfully stole the Package in a Missile Glitcher game and ran around with it until the timer ran out. Also, earlier in the game I managed to kill the glitchers repeatedly with Possessed Abominations and by luring Phantoms over to them.

 

Lowlight: I was in a Missile Glitcher game.  And had to add two more people to my XBOX ignore list.

High: Got my 50th over cover grab. And got a couple more last night while under major fire during a hack. Took the grabs anyway!!

 

Low: Need 200 more to finish challenge.

 

High: Got my 25M points for Spectre Mastery.

 

Low: Really need to get a life.

 

High: Lots of fun silver and gold games with buddies.

 

Low: Listening to some of them discuss DA:I and realizing that I miss it. I think it's time to return to Thedas for a bit. At least occasionally. Maybe once in a while.

2 or 3 fails on venom valkyrie cerberus plat on glacier. One with a team, sorry guys, i love rushing in the middle of phantoms, and 2 solos. It ll be hard to pass W9.

low-point - entered a match 1 or 2 days ago with a Black Widow Destroyer. Calculator said it could be done. Then found out I couldn't clean kill a shielded enemy. Panic set in. I glance around... "Is that a Ghost Harrier on Gold?" *dropped game* 

 

hi-point - found my mistake in the calculator. Left Recon 0.25 debuff still in. So I corrected this issue by passing the BW to QFE, and "What a game. I mean, like wow! No Ghost Harrier in this match! Can you believe it?!"

I played a couple of quick Silver games on xbox, which brought about a variety of highs and lows.

 

I was a Batarian Brawler specced for melee, and amusingly both games were wave 2 GiPs on Dagger Hazard against Collectors. Even on Silver, this is not a combination I would choose to play on PS3, so the games were harder than I intended while I tried to familiarize myself with the controller again.  Ah, the xbox controller.  I know it has its fans, and I don't want to offend any of them, but it's borderline unusable to me.  First game I had the Crusader.  Yeah, that was just a joke.  I think I might have hit a Praetorian with a couple of shots, but luckily my melee was working properly on the others and I only died once due to possessed abomb trolling, just as I was unleashing my punch.  Full extraction but I had to leave.

 

I switched to a Raider for my second game, which helped a bit, and everything was going fine until I got stomped by a Psion on wave 8 and realised we'd dropped to a duo - me and a Valkyrie, who cleaned up very well.  We got targets on wave 10, and mindful of my PS3 credentials I nuked the Praetorians as fast as I could.  Then I got stomped by another Psion.  I guess I really need to learn the Brawler's limitations - I'm a bit rusty, especially against Collectors.  I was trying to avoid the EZ until the last seconds but I got tempted in for a revive and everything went to hell pretty quickly.  Still pretty epic though.  Off-host Vanguards still kinda suck, even on xbox.  Off-host Vanguards with Crusaders introduce new levels of suckage.

 

I predict lowlights for any xbox players I might run into until I can L2Aim - it's currently beyond my capabilities so I am likely to risk sync-kills at melee range much more than is likely to be good for me.

No, aiming is harder on a PS3 gamepad. So I recommend the the PS4 gamepad that has analog sticks just like the 360 (shorter and with more pressure against your thumb. The PS3 ones are to long & super flimsy = to worse aim control). Then I recommend only to keep the PS3 gamepad for turning on the PS3.

 

Sadly Sony still don't know how to make D-Pad and  what they are for. ie. Not just for hotkeys! lol.

I'm tempted to reply to that with a short, "No U", because you're confusing subjective opinion for fact.

 

With after-market triggers, thumb-grips and a silicone skin, the PS3 controller improves significantly, whereas no number of mods could rectify the (imo fundamentally flawed design of the) xbox controller d-pad.  At least mashing for ops packs on PS3 simply results in nothing, most of the time, rather than switching to the Cobra.  Wanna hide that Cobra?  Why not spend an ops pack instead?!?  You want to charge a weapon and fire a power with your second finger?  Oh, you better switch the triggers over to the PS3 default setting then.  Only to find that it really doesn't work.  And the idea that I could ever land 20 Headshots with the xbox sticks is pure fantasy, so I'm not filled with joy at the news that the PS4 controller shares their characteristics.

 

It's all entirely subjective, Sinful.  Different controllers work for different people, with different-shaped hands, usually depending on which one they learned to use first. None is objectively better or worse.

PS3 controller is superior for quarians. Xbox assumes that you have primitive, apelike pentadactyly hands. PS3 is equally uncomfortable for all species.

High: had an all asari game... with QMR playing as Valkyrie. And totally rocking. We sent Cerberus packing. It. Was. AWESOME!

 

Another high: with Acolyte X, that's my rares maxed. I can now start working on my consumables again. Which is good, since my gels have dropped under 50 and I have very little left in the way of amps and stuff.

 

Third high: trying smashguard again and finding him incredibly fun, what with all the smashing and meleeing around. Plus dat sexy voice

 

Low: wipe on wave six escort against scumbag collectors on my last pug for the night. My dislike for the bugs has been reinforced.

Highlight: Rambo Juggernaut! Hadn't played Juggernaut for a while, re-spec'ed him for non-melee and slapped on a Typhoon. Got Jade Collecters and was just mowing down scum. Got top score and a slew of medals.

 

Low light: wiped during wave 10 hack.

That game was the highest of yesterday's high points for me as well.  Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did.  Much biosplosion, very synergy, wow.  Cerby got pulverized.

Yesterday's games were a high point overall, some really great Silvers and Golds with my BSN buddies.

Low: ehhhh, apart from my trademark extraction mess-up, it would be churlish to pick any low points from yesterday really.

Great players are great with any kit.  QMR could play a Juggernaut expertly, if they ever chose to stoop so low.

Stooping are low as playing Puggernaut is still great for when you want zero challenge. But if someone in that lobby wanted just that, you've ruined their day... think I'll Puggernaut my first pug match today.

High Point:  Playing a Spitfire Juggy with Incendiary Ammo against Geth with a team with an Overload-spamming TSent and an Arc-Grenade spamming Demolisher.  So many fire explosions.  Normally, I fire for a little while, then Siege Pulse, repeat.  I never really had to stop, I just kept dropping shields and priming for fire explosions, and they kept detonating them.  Game went very smoothly.

 

Low Point:  Watching a PUG take 10 minutes to take down a single Banshee, and giving up.  One other PUG was left with me on a Gold, Reapers game, and I killed every other enemy on the wave, and while killing the 2nd-to-last Banshee, the last one synced me.  So there was 1 PUG (Talon Merc with a Widow) vs. 1 Banshee left in the wave.  He would shoot a couple of times, fire a few arrows, and then run in fear.  By the time he started shooting again, the Banshee's barrier would be recharged.  Eventually, he just ran up to the Banshee's face and let himself get synced because he couldn't beat her.  Seriously, how can you even put yourself in a Gold game if you can't take down a single Banshee?

Low Point:   Started my shiny new alt account....1st game I set up a bronze solo..of course it was Giant/Reapers...Level 1 Vanilla Female Soldier 1 point in Adren.Rush/ 1 point in Concus. Shot..Avenger 1/ Mantis 1.......Couldnt make it past wave 6 (devices)  <-------Seriously?
