[Cerbe "R" Us]

I'm trying to find a decent Plat match. Let's see, how will the brave adventurer turn into a foul-mouthed ****bag after 10 minutes. Going to update the post of course.

 

Attempt 1: lobby, KroSol host, 210 N7 number, lvl1 weapons, nothing equipped, instaquit

Attempt 2: same lobby, now filled: N7 19 Puggernaut, N7 116 ACA and the host. Puggernaut has a lvl1 Vindicator, but compensates with one weapon mod. ACA has a Harrier I, but now quits. No patience for this vengeful ancient! They manage to put on some equipment, but still not ready, guess they wait for a fourth player to share this madness. The match starts now, I am prepared to kill my nerves. Plot twist: connection lost, equipments wasted. Trolled by the game.
Attempt 3: trying to rejoin the previous future disaster. Completely different game, on the same map, with invisible teammates. Instaquit, trying to rejoin this game (or the other, same map).

Attempt 4: game couldn't find the match, so searching for another catastrophy. It's the N7 19 puggernaut! With him patiently waits a drell sniper, whom I have played before and a good Plat teammate. They are waiting, probably for a fourth player, if he's good that's a decent Plat team! (It's U/U, if it's Collectors we are ******). Yep, it's Hydra Collectors.... No hardfreeze, a W6 wipe, I don't know if the drell just gave up or ran out of medigels, but bled out. Shame, actually the duoing went better than expected. I ran out of gels, managed to carry one of the pizzas in the circle though.

It seems there are no more Plat games, the game cannot find any at least, so I'm going back to Gold. Wasted enough consumables on this anyway.

Jmac joined one of my Gold lobbies, but left instantly after I switched to Reactor/Geth. I don't know if this or the fact that no one else was in the lobby made you leave, sorry dude. However, I managed to find some good pugs, so easy credits here I come.

I had a nice game with Onewomanarmy and Fuen... haha we didnt make it I absolutely loved the gun I was using... it was amazing... I could kill them artillery ravage things in 2 hits which was nice... and I could freeze husks running to me with the cryo blast thing so I liked that too... I think the gun was the mantis??? Haha I liked that... it was fun... hard to aim but fun... I was trying to kill the Banshee which was a target for the mission and it had one little bit of health left but it killed me before I could take away the last bit x

I used all my rocket launcher trying to stop people dying... my plan didnt go well

I think I saved Onewomanarmy from a Banshee which made me happy... theyre so horrible with how they kill you it makes me cringe... x

The guy who joined seemed to just kinda stand there and do nothing sometimes and get killed... I didnt understand that

He kept standing right in front of me CONSTANTLY whenever, wherever I went and whenever I needed to shoot. He followed me around and basically pushed me, if that was possible, and stood in my way so I couldn't see a thing. Either he was playing macho  and playing the protective guy or he was a score xxxxx cause I had more kills than him. Damn he was annoying! I had to drop out of a match, because I got waiting for other players in the lobby today. I can't recall the presets though or name of the host. If that was your lobby, sorry man.

Low- tons of fresh scrubs scrubbing it up on gold lately, lobbies full of sub 120 newbs as far as the eye can see, must be the recent origin access addition of the trilogy

High- cool that there's still lots of people joining this late in the game's life cycle, always feels good to carry a green lobby to glory and riches

I'm by no means the best player or even that good and it does feel weird to be in lobbies with so many newbs around but I like it because it shows people are still interested in this game.

I was playing really badly today. I don't think I have missed that many (Sniper)shots since I tried to Kishock off host.

That other lowbie was someone my wife ran into, that I've been trying to get some credits, since he's still better than the average PUG.

 

I was happy to have you along, deaths happen, it's a part of the game. It also lets me be an awesome hero by saving you from the evil spawngroups

Rant again. sorry BSN. When I thought it can't be any crazier, the PS3 pugs delivered. May they be cursed with the walking speed of a Puggernaut, looks of a vorcha and the vocal capabilities of an ACA. It contains usernames, so I'm putting this in a spoiler bracket.

So, I tried Plat again. This time I created a lobby and waited, if a non-appropriate player joined, I quit and recreate the lobby. To my surprise, the second try was successful: two other players joined, a fourth in-match, all of them Plat-worthy. A somewhat easy Rio/Reaper match. Also, it was the first time I witnessed what is the box of shame; the lowest scoring player used in once or twice, not constantly. Thank you for the games! (An advice: if you see seaotter1821, don't kick him/her out. I thought he/she is going to be the weak link in the team, but I was pleasantly surprised by his/her Vorcha Sentinel. Didn't have big numbers, but did the job well.

So I thought these people are ready for some better action. U/Cerberus, Platinum. Seaotter and the boxing Fury quitted, so me (GI) and a GT (Geth power!) decided to wait. Soon an Infidrell sniper (a different one that I mentioned in my prevous post) joined. No CM, no shield bonus whatsoever, and a BW I, but I thought it is going to be all right.
I have learned nothing from this MP, that's for sure. (The Centurion surely is my soulmate dammit.)

Dice rolled... I thought it won't be HGlacier, a Glacier devices with goons wouldn't be nice. You can guess, which map we got. The drell died a lot, and ragequitted, if I remember well. The GT also quitted, but rejoined and quitted. I'm pretty sure he got the lost connection message. We did the W3 hack. From W4, it was probably the greatest disaster I experienced since 2016.05.31, 1 PM. Pugs joined. The worst kind: useless, no-gel silver pugs, the cream of the PS3. At least six of them joined, they are in the players met menu, but there were more, 8 or more. I'm going to document this for the generations to come.
The first player was super_seva000. According to his dossier, he has a N7 100 and 50 CP. He managed to do 25 bronze extractions at last. He has 1 medi-gel, he must be treasuring that, hoping that it will be the next... anything. He certainly didn't waste it, though. Quitted in the middle of the wave, it's clear he has no patience for currying skrubs who can't do a Plat solo under 30 min.

The second one was obanick. Dossier says he actually played some Gold and Plat, Cp 1575, but instaquitted after a well-timed Pyro stomp. Or Atlas punch. Hell, he might be killed himself for all I know, showing the others how a real pro does this. My only question: why quit? Are you afraid that instantly dying on Plat is such a shame on your honor that you have to commit sudoku? You have 31 medigels bro, why not use it?

The third lucky guy was Edhir_assassin07. Mostly bronze matches. He currently doesn't have any medigel, it is unknown if he played without it, unlikely. Still, stomped and instaquitted. As his username shows, he is a Puggernaut user. My experience of Puggs on PS3 tells me that people think it is indestructible and totally the easy mode of ME3MP. It was, for seven seconds. Now that I read the name, I have met him before. I don't know if the experience was negative or positive, probably this selective lack of memory is a good thing.

Our fourth candidate is actually a dud in this list. Misteralex70. He didn't belong at this level, N7 150 CP 645, plays mostly bronze or silver, came with an ACA. He actually tried. Kudos to you, and this is not sarcasm. Used rocket in tough situations, actually revived some teammates, and USED MEDIGEL. Still, please stick to silver or gold until you become better or have a better manifest.

Number five is axxerz! I would like to write something about him, but he disappeared instantly. Looking at the dossier, he is actually someone who could have helped. Bummer.

The last one is MrBrunzee. Pretty sure he is a Red Cross member, because he donated a lot of blood. To the floor. He has no consumables at the moment AT ALL, except from the thermal packs. Looking at the Mister's profile, but he seems like your average leecher. Except that he doesn't suck blood, apart from some poor idiots who start a Plat match and expect something.

There were others, no-gel leechers who ragequitted with a shame on their honor or in a middle of a wave. You're not going to contribute, but still expect the match to go fast. Real nice. 

So, about the 1 PM disaster. It wasn't a disaster, but rather a big, big WTF moment. (I'n going to *** these usernames partly. Created a gold lobby, Stinkf***** joined, with a drelldept. He didn't rock the kit, which is not a problem. However, constantly bleeding out leaving me and an AIU to finish the waves is one. Back at the lobby, i saw that he is a BotB-wearer. Irony, at its finest.

Shortly after that, another lobby. ****-****69 joined. Turian Soldier, wasn't good, but he also had a medi-gel allergy. At the end, he got the hang of it, even revived himself. At the lobby I saw this: N7 44752, CP 375940. Ninth and twelfth on the global list, BotB banner of course. This confused me so bad, I thought he was a silver pug. Doesn't look like a cheater. Maybe he had a break and coming back to the game? If yes, why does he bleed out like a silver pug? He just died instantly and bleed out a lot of times, I got 15 revive medals off of him. It wasn't a duo, full team came together. He has 23 million credits and a maxed manifest, it's not like he is preserving them so he don't have to buy Jumbos.He used rockets though, so he had the 50 kill medal in the end. W11, went down of course, bleed out.

I have heard the term worst of the worst before, but this I just cannot fathom. It is clear that the banner doesn't really mean BotB, I'm not an idiot, but if you have that banner, and somehow farmed your way to it and cheesed Lone Wolf, you should play better than an average silver pug. You should have some knowledge of the game, not great with every character, like some hardcore Plat soloers here, but enough so you don't go down two-three times every wave. Even if you play with a kit you hate and doesn't know how to use it (TSol shouldn't be one of them, it rocks, but let's assume), why are letting yourselves curried by another one? Why bleeding out? I assume you would at least try and fight, not going down and just spectate the whole match, like a silver leecher would. I'm pretty sure there is an explanation for this, but honestly, I wouldn't be very surprised if I just hit the nail on the head. This game, this platform, everything is possible.

^Don't PUG PS3. If you do, most definitely don't PUG Silver. I'd probably want to PUG PS3 Plat before Silver. Though, you tried that and got similar results.

Most of my Plat PUGs have been surprisingly decent. I know, blasphemy, right?

Apart from one missile glitching lobby, and one all-bronze-pugs-preset-to-U/U/P, all been full extractions around 22-24mins. Maybe I got lucky and was the 4th wheel on a 3 man team, but it happened often enough I almost stopped playing with friends to PUG. Then I met some Platinum level friends.

Noticed that too. From what I've seen so far, the new arrivals to gold are not too bad. They end up at the bottom of the scoreboard, naturally, since their equipment is crap, but they always have the 25 or 50 assists medal and occasionally a 25 kill medal, do objectives and stick with the team. 

 

Really nice to see new players get into multiplayer. I don't mind a game being 3 or 4 minutes longer if it means boosting the playerbase of a 4 year old game.

You may have experienced the so called white knight. A guy who constantly leaps in front of you to protect from the enemy, which is both patronizing and annoying because he's constantly blocking your line of sight. To paraphrase one grill "You can look at my a*se, just don't block my line of sight."

Dropped into a lobby, saw everyone else was playing Geth, so I went with the Geth Juggernaut with Indra.

 

Low: Vancouver vs. Collectors

 

High: Things start off pretty well. The Geth Trooper knows how to use Flamer properly and we get a lot of explosions off that + Siege Pulse. Geth Engineer and Geth Infiltrator are doing their thing as well.

 

Low: Two guys drop out. Just me and the Trooper are left. Wave 6 Hack. Two Scions get us in a perfect cross-fire and we literally spend something like 8 Gels, 7-8 Ops, and 6 Missiles in the span of 30 seconds.

 

Lower: Wave 9, the Tooper gets picked up by a Praetorian and I set off a Fire Explosion but can't save him.

 

Lowest: much, much later in Wave 9, after I've slowwwwwwwwwly walked backwards around the map burning down Collectors with the Indra, I... blunder into a Collector Web and get dropped by Captains.
